My son had a small peperoni pizza and loved it, crunchy crust. I had a burger and fries, great. My only complaint might be the days they are listed open on yelp. We tried to go on Wednesday but they were closed. Google said they were closed, yelp said open. We went back Thursday and all was good. read more

Not really pizza imo, just a tepid approximation. However, there are very few options in this locale.

We were looking for a lunch to carry out to the park with us for a picnic. Fiddleheads were in season and since I'd never had them I decided to try the Fiddlehead Pizza. Not bad; I'd probably do it again. My wife had a cheesesteak sub which was large but the bread was so soggy that she threw most of the roll away. Prices were on the high side, but that's par for the course these days. The staff was friendly and our order was ready on time. My friends enjoyed pizza here last night, so I decided to stop in for lunch. 5/5, no contest. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but the owner was friendly and the pizza was fantastic. Top 3 of all time for me. A few minutes after ordering, I was a bit surprised to see that my pizza hadn't made it into the oven yet. Turns out it's because the toppings were all sliced and chopped to order and transferred straight to my pie. Can it get any fresher than that?!? I ordered a White Lady and it arrived to the table bubbling hot and smelling like garlic bread. Starting off strong. Once it cooled a bit, everything about it was perfect. The sauce was creamy, cheese stringy, veggies crisp, chicken well-seasoned, and the dough was exactly what it should be: soft and yeasty. I was pleased to find that it wasn't at all greasy and the dough didn't sag or fall apart. It was just what my belly and soul needed after two days of hiking and biking. Do yourself a favor and get some pizza and beer from Angelo's. You won't be disappointed. read more

As a Millinocket resident, I have eaten at Angelo;s several time since they opened. Although I think they've changed ownership a while back, the quality of the food remains good. Mostly, I have ordered pizza from them but their calzones are good also. As far as I am aware, there is only one other pizza place in town, and I do order from the other place far more often than from Angelo's. Their food is also good but, more importantly, they are always able to deliver, whereas delivery is hit and miss with Angelo's. It all depends on how busy they are and how many people are available, I guess. I live only a couple of blocks away, and I suppose it wouldn't kill me to pick it up myself but when I order pizza, it's more of a matter of convenience than anything else. read more

Home cooked food that is delicious and reasonably priced. The food took a long time to come out and they forgot to make a side dish we had ordered but it was hardly the staffs fault. There were only two women working the entire restaurant as well as preparing delivery orders. If you aren't in a rush the food is well worth the wait. read more

Stopped here on our way to camp. As a New Yorker I can attest to this pizza place being legit. We had the basic pepperoni and cheese. Their home made crust is delicious. Sauce excellent. Had me wishing my wife had filled up on salad so there would be more for me. No such luck. Pizza was so good my normally pizza avoiding wife destroyed this pie. The next day we packed subs for a hike in Baxter State Park. If you need a rustic and charming place to crash the owners also own a camp on a lake. Steak and cheeze calzone was very good was pleased that it had good quality steak and stringy melty cheese theres nothing i hate more than a crappy sandwhich or calzone. But this was good. Only thing is i wish it was a little wider/flatter like other traditional calzones that are easier to cut and serve. It was more of a stuffed loaf. I requested the sauce on the side only as that's the usual in our home area. Chicken wings were awesome cooked through and crunchy and great flavor.. Pizza was large and cooked well maybe a just little too dark/crunchy but was still good. Would ask for less sauce next time also. But the atmosphere was great, staff was friendly and prices were affordable. We found this restaurant by a google search and it being #6 in the best places to eat in milliknocket (the next closer pizza place was #16) so Angelo's reputation caused us to travel the extra to try it out. Phenomenal. High-quality, fresh ingredients and a delightful, eclectic menu. Friendly staff--a true family operation. Absolutely horrid. Lights burnt out, they don't serve coffee "because we don't want people to linger", and staff unaware if they had a special even though it was the beginning of lunch and their board said they had the special. Awful! read more

I recently ordered some pizzas here with my family and was not impressed. I called in the order and politely asked (twice) for one of the pizzas to have extra sauce on it. Of course it arrived and did not have extra sauce at all, it was extremely dry. I also thought the "large" pizzas were way too small to be called a large and to charge that kind of money for.
