As evidenced by the hour wait for pizza on a Sat night, Jamo's is GOOD! We have eaten here numerous times and it is always yummy food. Tonight I had a small chef salad since I was too hungry to wait for the pizza and they were out of steak & cheese. The salads are on a bed of thinly sliced iceberg, so nothing overly fancy. This had a bunch of pinwheels of ham, turkey & roastbeef, but mine seemed to be missing cheese and also was missing onion and peppers. Only veggies were tomatoes, lettuce, and black olives. Add in some cukes, onions, peppers, and cheese and this likely would have garnered 5 stars. From prior visits, I have to highly recommend a Dagwood. Best I have ever had and a specialty of the house here. These are put on homemade Syrian bread that is delicious!! Chock full of your choice of meat (ham is the norm), cheese, bacon, lettuce, pickles, onions, green peppers, and tomato w/mayo. This is huge and would work for 2 people or 1 REALLY hungry one. Dagwoods = 5 stars. Seems tonight was a bit off with the salad, but I'll be back time and time again! read more

Local spot and fantastic pizza. They do get backed up with foot traffic so it pays to order ahead, especially were staying in town/camp.

I have to say that we were pleasantly surprised by how good their meat pizza was! Absolutely delicious!! The staff are friendly and helpful!! What you need to understand is that when all these reviews say the pita is great, they are not just a bunch of locals who are friends with the owner and living in the middle of nowhere with nothing else to eat. Truly, this is the best pita I have ever had and it is the pita by which I now judge all other pitas. I did not know it was possible for a humble pita to taste this good. Puffy, warm, held it's texture even after I brought it back to my hotel for dinner. I've dropped an embarrassingly large amount of money on tasting menus at restaurants where the chefs use tweezers and tiny squeeze bottles to put a half an ounce of food on a plate the size of a basketball, and this pita was truly spectacular. read more

The food was pretty good! The wait was a little longer than you might expect, but it is a small mom and pop style place with a lot of business. Worth the wait, and a great choice among the limited places open on a Monday night here. They are take out only, but there is outdoor seating. read more

Located in the closest thing Greenville has to a convenience store, Jamo's offers take out pizza and sandwiches. Since other yelpers mentioned the convenience store aspect of Jamo's, we were skeptical, but our guide from Northeast Outfitters assured us it was good. He was right. The pizza was made with fresh ingredients while we waited. It was perfect to take back to the inn and enjoy in our room. While all the food is "take out," there is a small picnic table inside, should anyone choose to eat in the store. read more

As a native New Yorker that is half Sicilian, this is not what I would consider pizza, it's just a step above the pizza you can find in the frozen food section of the supermarket. I will say that the dough is good, but they do need to work on their sauce, sorry but catchup doesn't qualify as good pizza sauce. The reasons that I keep coming here is because one it's the best pizza in town, which isn't saying much and two, I like to support the local businesses because they're really nice people in Greenville and they deserve our patronage. read more

Really good pizza -- the crust is especially good. Be sure to ask for extra baked and crispy. The ingredients could be better/fresher but adequate enough. Would only get the pizza here though as the lack of freshness and flavor comes through with their sandwiches and dagwoods. read more

Came to Jamo's on Saturday June 27. We ordered the Combo pizza to sit and enjoy outside. I'm sure the pizza is delicious (we both really liked the crust) however upon opening the pizza....each slice all of the toppings slipped off and the middle of the pizza was soggy. We knew they were having an off day as my boyfriend heard someone say several of the staff called out so we didn't complain. We will give them another shot next time in town. read more

Nothing can compare to the deliciousness it's as if god him self made this pizza. Ever since I had it I can't sleep I just can't stop thinking about the sauce the cheese and the crust I mean the crust was unlike any other. Small little pizza shop with wonderful pizza, the 3 employees i saw were all younger but very respectful and well mannered. Pepperoni pizza was delicious. Only complaint comes from not the pizza place itself but some fellow customers taki g the chairs from one table and using them for their bags and wouldn't return them when asked if we could use them to sit. read more

We stayed in Greenville for a few days last week and ate at Jamo's twice. The Dagwood on the house made pita, YUM! Would be great to take on a picnic. They are really big too. Had to save half for the next day. We also had the BBQ Pork pizza, which was really good. The staff are friendly and prices were right on time. We were driving up to to Lawrence's Cabins and stopped by to grab lunch (2 subs and 3 sodas). I ordered ham and cheese, and my friend ordered salami and provolone and they mixed up his order and made him ham and cheese also in error, but we thought they are both very good subs. The bread was very nice and fresh, and it was nicely done. All good. One poster was wrong as they do have one 8 foot table but it is really a convenience store with a table in front of the soda cooler. It is really low cost take out - but a good place for what it is. About half a dozen kids were there splitting a pizza, and we took them to go and ate them and they were great. Would go again for sure. Thanks, John read more

Located right next door to Flatlanders and is inside the Jamieson's Market store. I'm not going to lie, this store has been around a long time and the place is primarily a very small convenience store/market. This is purely take-out as well, not even any pull-up chairs or tall tables. Shabby-looking yes. Not to worry, because this place is well worth getting take-out from. Again, it looks really run-down, but do not let this fool you, they make some of the best pizza I've ever had. We ordered in some pepperoni pizza and breadsticks. Mamma mia. The pizza was nice and laden with LOTS of pepperoni and cheese, with just a bit of grease (this is not for you gourmet pizza lovers), SO good. And the breadsticks? I'd call them more cheese slabs, pure dairy goodness. They're just long melted strips of cheese, with JUSt enough breading on either side to hold them together. WELL worth the visit, again don't let the store decor or lack of keep you from ordering from here. read more
