    Bloody Mary drink

Came on a very late Thursday morning - it was quiet in the restaurant. I tried the Huevos Rancheros and would give it a 7 out of 10 (I didn't realize there would be minimal meat in it). The placement of the black beans & fried eggs kind of made it impossible to turn the meal items into a small taco (defeating the purpose of putting the soft taco on the plate). My husband had steak & eggs and a Bloody Mary (it was his bday meal outing) and he really enjoyed everything he got a lot. I would definitely come back but I would choose a different meal.

Why no 5 stars all the way I cannot understand. Located next door to the Bethlehem hotel in historic PA it is an awesome spot for a wonderful , filling breakfast/brunch. We sat outside on a crisp October morning enjoying the sun and view. We decided to be decadent and order their Irish coffee. Excellent! I chose the chorizo huevos Benedict. My husband had the huevos rancheros. Sadly I did not take a pic because it went fast. Even their home fries were exceptional. A must eat place. Will have a hard time not eating here in the morning. The Bloody Mary was decent.

My wife and I visited The Flying Egg during our anniversary vacation in Bethlehem, and it was easily one of the best breakfast spots we've ever been to. We had seen the great reviews beforehand, and this place absolutely lived up to the hype. Amanda ordered pancakes, and let me tell you--she's a pancake critic, and even she said they were some of the best she's ever had. We also shared turkey bacon, which was perfectly cooked and delicious. The eggs were excellent as well. I went for the Short Rib Benedict, and it did not disappoint--the short ribs were plentiful and tender, the sauce was flavorful, and the home fries... oh my goodness, the home fries were outstanding. The drinks were just as impressive. We tried the breakfast margarita, pumpkin spice martini, rumchata hot chocolate, and Bloody Mary, and every single one was 10/10. Boozy in the best way--flavorful without being overpowering. What really made the experience special, though, was the staff. Our server Alexis was incredibly attentive, kind, and thoughtful. She even surprised us with a little anniversary platter topped with fruit and whipped cream, which meant so much to us. Overall, The Flying Egg is a must-visit in Bethlehem. Between the amazing food, creative drinks, and warm hospitality, we couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate. If I'm ever in Bethlehem again, I'll definitely be back!

Came here a few weeks ago for breakfast before enjoying the Christkindlmarkt. Such a cute place! Food: the food was really really good. My wife got a salmon Benedict I believe which I really enjoyed and I got a waffle with caramelized apples, which was delightful. Aesthetic: trendy breakfast spot with really cool lights in the back coming out of mugs. Service: service was OK at best, girl seemed bothered to be helping us, but it was a very busy Saturday.

    TFE Cobb

TFE Cobb was very tasty and generous with the toppings. The dressing was a whipped balsamic which is something I have never heard of but I really enjoyed. It's thicker than a vinaigrette so you don't need much of it. The sweet potato fries were also good and crispy but still fluffy on the inside. My only gripe is that extra dressing/dipping sauce costs extra, I hate when restaurants do that and I'm not sure it is all homemade (ranch and blue cheese).

The Flying Egg is very cute and I was excited to check it out. We went at opening on a Saturday morning and were asked if we had reservations, which we did not, but we were seated immediately, even without them. Service was good. They have a vegan menu section with three items, two of which feature tofu. I ordered the tofu scramble. Or tried to. Our server came back to tell us they were out of tofu. I'm not sure I actually believe that; if the restaurant was missing a key ingredient, it would've been noted pre-service. And if it was true, they should've been better prepared. It's a good thing I'm not vegan. I ordered the smoked salmon toast, without onions, which of course they couldn't manage. It was filling though. Spiked coffee drinks were fine. I'd not return, which is too bad, given the overall vibe, location, and service.

Went here for breakfast and had no trouble getting a table. Everything with the service and food was great. It is a nice cozy little place next to Hotel Bethlehem. The big downside is somehow they ran out of tofu which is a big part of the Vegetarian breakfast. While we weren't there for the Moravian graduation ceremony, it is unfathomable that a restaurant would be out of a major food item. There is a lot that can be good here but it's clear they need better leadership to ensure they have major food items.

We walked in on a Saturday morning. They sat us down right away. You have to make a reservation the day before they don't take reservations day of. They do accept walk-ins, but it's very busy on weekends. Server was nice but very very very slow. Food was decent. Fair priced. Good chill average breakfast spot in Bethlehem.

Lox Rocks benedict (basil hollandaise best part)
    Purpose T.

I heard about this brunch spot a while ago and vowed to try it whenever I'm in the area again. At first, I was a little worried because I was told it's a small space that gets busy quickly, especially for wknd brunch (which makes sense). So it felt like a gamble. Thankfully, we did not have to wait too long to be seated for 2 people. I had the cinnamon roll french toast with house made icing, which was the best part. The icing was the perfect contrast to the sweet and smooth texture of the french toast. Each bite melted w/icing melted in your mouth like butter. Perhaps more of a breakfast 'dessert' if you will. 10/10 nonetheless. A little syrup if preferable, but not mandatory. Excellent dish! My friend ordered the Lox Rocks benedict. I sampled it and it looks more appealing than it tastes. It could be the overly salted smoked salmon, but i do understand that that's the risk you take w/that. Still, it wasn't a complementary combo. The basil hollandaise had a good flavor, which surprised me. Great service. Our server was polite, attentive, and informed about the menu. The only downside is the food took a really long time to come out. I'd come again, maybe a different weekday and try other menu items.

Absolutely wonderful service. Delicious food made from scratch. I got an eggy avocado toast (came with a nice salad) and my bff got JERSEY (pork roll egg on Kaiser) 2 OJs. Cute restaurant decor. I enjoy it here every time

This place has always been my go to spot for breakfast in Bethlehem! You can dine indoor or you can dine outdoors. I always prefer to dine outdoor because I feel like I'm in a hallmark movie. You have the brick street and you're next to hotel Bethlehem. How much better can it get. The inside is very chic, you feel like you're in Paris! Everyone has always been so friendly and you're always greeted with a smile They have a wide range of mimosas but I chose to get just a regular mimosa but I do highly recommend their mango mimosa! They're always made to perfection. This time I made my own omelet. I put chorizo, onion, pepper, and cheese inside. The choriza today was absolutely amazing it was so tasty. I also got a side of avocado to put spread on my toast and it also comes with home fries which are really good. This place is just always a go to when it comes to breakfast

We were seated right away in an open format atmosphere with the best balance of light and dark. The bar across from us looked fantastic. What we noticed right from the start is how well the staff works with and for each other to bring guests the best dining experience possible. Maddie was our server. She was kind, professional, patient, and knowledgable about both food and drink on a grand scale. Her recommendations were stellar. I had a refreshing gin and basil martini as well as their beef carpaccio, which was absolutely fantastic. My girlfriend started with their beef stew, which was thick and satisfying. It was so delicious, she almost canceled her entree to have more. She went with the home cooking route and indulged in their meatloaf with green beans and mashed potatoes. Although she loved that as well, half had to come home with her, which made for an excellent lunch the next day. I went with the raw of it all and got their spectacular tuna tartare with asparagus, radish, and rice. Usually, the tuna is cut into strips but this tremendous block of gorgeous fish knocked me out. Absolutely fantastic from presentation to flavor. For dessert, we got their brownie with ice cream and this was all upper level in taste and texture. I would be shocked if their ice cream hadn't been made in-house. We loved our first experience with Apollo and we look forward to our next visit, which is hopefully sooner than later.

However, the overall experience was disappointing due to slow service, lack of communication, and issues with the food. We visited after the Lehigh Graduate Commencement Ceremony and were seated from 1:30-3:00 PM. Our server, Younise, only checked on us roughly every 15 minutes. It then took 45 minutes for pretzels and another 30 minutes for our 2 entrees. While we overheard that the kitchen was behind, this was never communicated to us directly, which made the long wait more frustrating. There was also an issue with my order. I ordered the Caesar salad wrap (Julius' Chicken Dance $14), but I was brought a Caesar salad with chicken ($3 up-charge) instead. The server did not offer to have the kitchen correct it or provide an alternative. After discussing it, I eventually asked if she could bring me a tortilla so I could make the wrap myself. A 15% discount was applied, which I appreciated, but the bill still listed the incorrect meal and reflected the higher-priced salad instead of the wrap I originally ordered. The burger was also underwhelming, as the cheese was not melted. For a meal that came to over $60 for pretzels, a burger, a salad item, and one drink, I expected better communication, food quality, and customer service. The ambiance was great, but the entrees and service unfortunately did not match the setting

The food was very tasty I think it is the only restaurant I've been in locally that didn't use excessive amounts of salt. A big plus. The mixed drinks were interesting and reasonably strong. I usually quaff mine down fairly rapidly, savoring the buzz during dinner and still safely driving home after. I had potato soup, which was very good, and Ming had Beet Carpaccio, which was thinly sliced seared root veggies with seasoning. I only had a bite because she wanted it all! Then came dinner. I had the ribeye, which was done so that it was seared one the outside to keep the flavor in and red (while being cooked thru, not an easy feat) and it's was flavored but not overly salty, were unusual. I ordered my usual Worcestershire sauce to clean off the extra salt, but hardly used any. Ming had the crab cake, which was the only negative of the meal. While not overtired or salty, there was a bit of a fishy smell. Not terrible, but off putting. Luckily for me, I don't like crab anyway so I didn't have any. The desserts were good, with a tasty chocolate cake and a peach cobbler that was good but could have had a bit of peach goo to moisten it a bit. The prices were very competitive considering the venue AND the quality of the food. The bar was hopping too because it looked like a great place to hang out with friends!

The food service was unremarkable. Our waiter was not particularly friendly nor personable. The drinks were a weak start. The red sangria was poor. The bourbon cocktail was an odd mix of bourbon, apple cider, and other elements--an awkward, Frankenstein-style whiskey sour that simply didn't work. Worst of all, both drinks were served in thin plastic cups, which immediately cheapened the entire experience. I ordered the falafel sandwich and specifically requested a toasted bun. It arrived not just room temperature, but cold. I sent it back, and it returned burning hot... the bottom soggy... literally too hot to pick up... with no browning or color change, clearly microwaved. Microwaving is not toasting. At that point, the sandwich was inedible. I removed the bun entirely and ate just the falafel, which was dry and largely tasteless. At this point I knew coming back to this restaurant was a mistake. Food timing was another issue. The dishes took roughly 45 minutes to arrive after the drinks, possibly longer. We were all getting annoyed and what started out well when we first walked in turned negative. I wasn't impressed on my first visit years ago... and this second visit confirmed it. Between the poor drinks, cheap plastic cups, ridiculously long wait (with no explanation nor apology), and careless food execution, there's no reason to return.

We always start with the Brussels sprouts, the fried green tomatoes, or the hush puppies. You simply cannot go wrong with any of them. The appetizers are always hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. And then there's the mac and cheese... absolutely to die for. Even the children's mac and cheese is ridiculously good. Creamy, cheesy, comforting, exactly how mac and cheese should be. Their salads deserve their own shoutout too. The goat cheese salad with pickled eggs is perfection, and the Caesar with cornbread croutons? Genius. It's the kind of detail you don't expect but end up craving every time you think about it. But of course, the real star of the entire place is the cornbread. Truly heavenly. They serve it warm, and the whipped butter melts right into it, it's honestly dangerous how good it is. I could eat the entire dish by myself without hesitation. The service is always great, quick, friendly, and welcoming. It's one of those places where the vibes feel just as good as the food tastes. On weekends, it does get packed, so making a reservation is probably a smart idea. All in all, I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. The food, the atmosphere, the consistency, everything hits. I will always come back whenever I'm in the area, and yes... mostly because the cornbread is truly that good.

The Wild Scotch Egg consisted of hard boiled egg and sausage, which was panko fried, sitting on Guinness fondue and crisp arugula, topped with Parmesan crisps. I really enjoyed this. The outer breading was light and satisfyingly crispy, while the egg and sausage interior was expertly cooked, tender and well seasoned. Cheesy fondue sauce was rich and creamy. Parmesan crisp was a nice, tasty touch. The beer battered Fish and Chips were also yummy. I knew I needed to return in order to try the Sticky Toffee Pudding, one of my all time favorite desserts. This was served warm, with Earl Grey tea date sponge cake, paired with sweet sticky toffee sauce and clotted cream. So deliciously mouthwatering and decadent! Service was good. The waiter was warm and easy to talk with. Everything came out in a timely manner. Prices were quite reasonable. I'm glad I came across this place to have my fill of some British classics!

The roast beef was chewy and just gross. I'm assuming if you are a few drinks deep, you don't notice how bad the food is because there is no reason for this place to be four stars.
