They are 100% into it and will never steer you wrong. We buy our frags from the Reef Farm a few miles from Wake Forest and our fish from Fintastic. I went to Taylor's Aquarium, and they tested my water and gave me some bacteria to add to my tank since it was new. Petco told me my water was fine. I have since purchased 5 fish from Taylor's, and they have been doing well for over a month now. I'm planning to get to Taylor's today for a couple more fish. This is a family business, and they are really knowledgeable about aquariums. I think the owner has been in business for 30 yrs. Great service, healthy, fish, and really nice people.

All in all, I liked what I saw and it seems these guys know their fish and are set up to offer a nice variety not found in our area. ‍Reactive dog owner here!…read more I'd like to start off by saying I have never had a bad experience at any of the Unleashed locations! The staff at each store are absolutely phenomenal. I frequent this store for their dog bathing station. General Unleashed info: I always call ahead to reserve a spot for a bath- you must do this to ensure they have time for you. Baths are reserved for an hour. They usually fill up quickly for a weekend spot but I've never had any issues with same day reservations so long as you are flexible. I also really appreciate that the staff has always been super considerate and understanding when I specify that my dog is reactive to both other dogs and some people. I usually let them know while he looks super approachable because he's so fluffy and cute () he's kind of a butthead with strangers (). They always respond with kindness and politely give him plenty of space when we come in- and also let us know if there are other dogs in the store when we come in! I cannot tell you how much reassurance this gives us as owners to a reactive dog- we appreciate this courtesy so much! Protip: buy the frequent bather card! $60 for 4 baths and your 5th is free! They link this to your phone number so you don't have to worry about losing the card and it is good for use at any of their locations! Cary specific: The bathing area is in the back of the store where they stock bigger items. There is a baby gate and curtain you can use for some privacy but as my dog is reactive and as the location of the bath is open to the public I do wish there was a door just for peace of mind. We have had instances where other curious customers try to peek in the bathing area which has caused my pup to freak out a bit. The room is a little tight but you can make do with two adults plus your pup. I would say the bathing station is a good size for dogs up to the 60-ish lb range. 70 and up might be a tight squeeze. The always are stocked with plenty of soap/conditioner/ear cleaning/grooming tools! TL;DR $15 self bathing station, well worth the price for not having to clean up/well stocked bathing area and very accommodating staff.

All I received was fantastic customer service and a lot of information. They even told me not to buy food from them since a chain store had it for cheaper; we opted to buy it from them regardless of the price difference because of their humility and fantastic customer service. We ended up purchasing a Netherlands Dwarf Bunny and took him to the vet to ensure everything was ok, and the vet said the bunny was in perfect condition and healthy. It's such a relief to know the crew here--Jillian, Evan, and Chris--are not only friendly and laidback, but also incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. I'm fairly new to the hobby and they've always been patient in answering my questions, guiding me through everything, and encouraging me to do my research before purchasing. I'm especially into puffer fish and rainbow fish, and every fish I've brought home from here has been healthy and in great condition. Of course, as a buyer, it's also important to do your own due diligence--acclimating and quarantining properly really helps your fish settle in and thrive. What makes this store even better is that they offer special orders! If there's something specific you're looking for, talk to Evan--he's amazing! Super friendly and attentive, and he'll take great care of you and your order. Every visit is a great experience--the whole crew creates a welcoming, fun, and relaxed environment. For our cat, we get the wet food brand Weruna - and although I'm used to a very similar Fromm purchasing plan of the bigger cans (per store policy at a different store), Pet Mania unfortunately doesn't do that here. However, there's a very huge flavor selection of this brand (that comes in the small cans), so I'm pretty happy with having many choices. Finally, my cat also loves a stuffed animal brand called supercat (mainly the dinosaurs though), and this store carries this with a price pretty competitive to that of Amazon. Very well stocked for being a fairly small store, so I come here for most of my pets' needs. Fair warning that compared to other commercial stores, some may think this is pricey; however, the selections here tend to be the higher quality brands overall.
