My Favorite Fish Store!…read more This is hands down my favorite fish store! It's such a relief to know the crew here--Jillian, Evan, and Chris--are not only friendly and laidback, but also incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. I'm fairly new to the hobby and they've always been patient in answering my questions, guiding me through everything, and encouraging me to do my research before purchasing. I'm especially into puffer fish and rainbow fish, and every fish I've brought home from here has been healthy and in great condition. Of course, as a buyer, it's also important to do your own due diligence--acclimating and quarantining properly really helps your fish settle in and thrive. What makes this store even better is that they offer special orders! If there's something specific you're looking for, talk to Evan--he's amazing! Super friendly and attentive, and he'll take great care of you and your order. Every visit is a great experience--the whole crew creates a welcoming, fun, and relaxed environment. Whether you're just starting out or a seasoned aquarist, I highly recommend this place. They also carry a wide variety of amphibians, reptiles, tropical, and saltwater fish--definitely a well-rounded store for all things aquatic (and more!).

This is one of the cat adoption places insisting on paperwork being completed before they'll let you meet the cats. While I always understood this was an insurance issue, apparently it's not -- at least here. At this stage, I'm only interested in seeing the animals, I'm not ready to adopt and therefore saw no need to answer many of the questions on the form that are irrelevant until I'm ready to do so. The manager and I didn't seem to agree and I left not seeing a single animal -- unless I wanted to do so through a glass door -- a pointless option when I wanted to meet them personally. It was a polite exchange so there was no issue on that account. She was passionate about her position and I respect that. For me, although the facility seems like a definite upgrade from the last location, and I had hoped to see how things were improved and expanded and meet some of the residents, I saw no reason why my "browsing" required my agreement for them to call my current vet or agree to a home visit in order for me to even see a cat when I'm not there to adopt. I completely understand the concerns with making sure these animals find and keep a good home and are not sent to live (or die) with some nut-job, but do not understand how depriving them of the ability to meet or socialize with a variety of people under staff supervision requires something just short of credit and background checks. Oh well. C'est la vie.

We arrived to look at potential kitties for adoption, and there was some printed sign on the door that said "appointment only today sorry" no info on where or how to schedule an apt I went online and no links were working just a link to schedule a neutering No one to greet you, no one to welcome you when you walk in. Just an empty room filled with clutter and trash We asked the couple that was also waiting, and they said they just filled out a paper application to view for adoptions, so we did the same. Some guy came out after said it would be about 10 min and he'll come back and give us a tour of the facility ? I rang the doorbell twice one time 5 min after and a second 15 min after to at least give him the paperwork We walked in at 4pm. They close at 5pm. It's now 4:35 the same guy comes out. His name was Kyle. Had us waiting forever just to come out and say it'll be another few minutes and he can give us the tour. He said "I'll just bunch both couples into the same tour" I just asked "are were even going to have the chance to look at or enter a room where kitties are available." Mind you he still hadnt even taken my paperwork just the other couples He had no clue what was going on He said probably not because they were closing at 5. He didn't even collect the clipboard I had filled out. Just such a shame to sit in a waiting room for 30+ minutes hearing all these cats crying behind this closed door in the lobby ALSO MOST IMPORTANTLY , the inside of the waiting room was a PIGSTY. Amazon packages everywhere, boxes of donated items, and those little tools that are used to administer cat pills that they put in a cat's mouth just left on top of the donated boxes outside of the bathroom in the waiting room. Horrible, disappointing, and frankly depressing. Kyle also had no business running that place alone, and if someone was back there not helping him, then shame on them too. I rang that doorbell probably 3x just to ask a question and it's like everyone was ignoring the people in the lobby. This place needs a revamp , cleanup and organization clean up. Absolutely depressing
