Had a delicious meal and great service from Jenni last night. Treated our 4 adult children to a meal here and we were not disappointed. Cocktails were very good. We had the aviation which was really good. A light, well balanced cocktail. Two people had the boombalatty and they enjoyed it. And lastly a chocolate martini which you can never go wrong with and Paloma. The arancini was a delight. The marinara on it was amazing and highly recommend. You get a generous 5 with that order. Two of us the special of the day which was a cheese ravioli. They were able to accommodate a chicken allergy and make it with vegetable stock for me which was great. The sauce was delicious as was the shrimp on it. The chicken breast entree got good reviews from my SIL. Husband had the burger and he enjoyed it. He had the side salad with it and he did mention it could have been dressed a bit more. And then our DIL got the arancini as a meal and that is mentioned above. We finished off with crème brûlée. Fiering offers approachable yet well executed and delicious options. They have perfected small town upscale casual. It is an amazing balance of feeling like you are eating a home cooked meal but made with care and skilled execution, and in a welcoming yet nicely curated environment. We have tried most of the menu at this point, from the salmon to the burger to the pasta, and all have been delicious. We usually end the meal with the creme brulee and flourless chocolate cake, which are both such a nice cap to the meal. The cocktails are fun and rotate with the season. The service is warm and professional. You may want to make a reservation as they are often busy. So lucky to have this gem of an option in Stoughton! read more

We wrnt here before a concert at the Staughton Opera House which is a quick walk from the restaurant. Enjoyed our choices and will be back.

A newly renovated, upscale dining venue with a rotating menu curated by the chef/owner! FINALLY-- a place downtown that's opened on Monday. Carefully curated cocktails. Delectable and dreamy dishes. Artistic architectural ambience. lol... enough alliterations! This place is AMAZING! Check it out for yourself-- you won't be disappointed. We came here for an early Valentine celebration. Staff was superbly friendly. Every. Single. Person. We had the Tom Cruise vodka cocktail and loved it! My husband had short ribs with a wine reduction, mashed potatoes and roasted carrots. I had the smoked salmon with dill compote, roasted potatoes and zucchini. We both could t get enough of each other's dishes. Even joked about licking our plates clean! lol... we were actually tempted. So thankful we have another great place to enjoy in our community. read more

I've been here a few times, and had several different things on the menu. Everything is extremely well made and well thought out. It's also very rich, which is not a surprise at all (nor is it a bad thing), because that's what makes it taste soooo good - just don't be surprised, especially if you're a bit sensitive to it. I went in for a drink with my friend, as I am visiting from out of state. The bartender than took my ID to ask AI if it was real (it is). Since "AI said it looked questionable" I was turned down from buying a drink. I am so offput by this interaction. There was no book, light, or other official way to check, only asking AI. We made reservations here for an evening out and this place exceeded expectations. This place offers an upscale dining experience in Stoughton. The smaller dining space provides an intimate setting with a boho, fresh design. The food is outstanding! I had the chicken breast and my husband had the pork chop. The drink menu has a variety of beverages - alcoholic and non alcoholic. My husband enjoyed the Spicy Sandia Margarita. He said it was one of the best margaritas he has had. We are looking forward to our next meal here to try something else! read more

The best new place in town and such a hidden gem! We always get the mussels- which are a French white wine preparation and very high quality, the French fries- which are salty, thin, crispy, and perfect, and the Spring Salad- which is my favorite- light vinaigrette dressing, sweet candied pecans, beets, goat cheese. This is a staple light meal for us now that we come for every (or every other) week. We've also had the shrimp and grits which were pretty good. We need to try out more of their entrees, I'm sure they are amazing! Service is great and the restaurant is cozy. This place goes toe to toe with many high end Madison restaurants. read more

Both my wife and I had a very nice meal at this restaurant. Very small and intimate restaurant. We are visiting area, but it was clear that locals were present. I had the braised short rib; perfectly prepared. Good choices for wine by the glass. Friendly and efficient service. We will definitely return. read more

Very good tasty food and drinks I did order the stroganoff and it had no meat in it kinda pricey for noodles my hubby had the short ribs they were delicious we had a whiskey drink that was fantastic all in all a very positive experience will definitely be back to try something else. read more

Wow! What a little hidden Gem this was. The location is very unassuming on the outside, but newly renovated on the inside. My wife ordered the Raspberry mule and I ordered the manhattan. Both drinks were delicious. I would compare these drinks to the "craft" places downtown Madison. I ordered the chop and my wife ordered the Salmon. Both were perfectly cooked. We will certainly be back and are impressed at the level of food without even leaving Stoughton!!! Great staff, great ambiance and great food/drinks! We made reservations here prior to a show at the opera house. Service was prompt, friendly and attentive and the drink menu offers quite a few standards and some new creative drinks! All very good and reasonably priced. We had the bruschetta appetizer which was fantastic. My wife had the salmon and I had the chicken madeira. Both were cooked perfectly and very flavorful. This restaurant could easily compete with some of the more expensive restaurants in Madison. We're looking forward to our next show in Stoughton so we can try other items on the menu! The Feiring is a gem in all ways. Excellent service, a great wine list and most of all delicious food every time. Kudos to chef Randy for his skill in the kitchen. My halibut tonight was the best since some I had in Portland, Maine and my husband was ecstatic with his bowl of mussels. I do need to mention the crème brûlée as well. Sublime! We had a fantastic dinner at The Feiring. Our party of four split the mussels as an appetizer, they were so light and delicious. We also had the bruschetta which was a differently done. A definite must to start. The entrees did not disappoint...three of us had the salmon which had the most delicious butter, my husband had the shrimp and cheesy grits which he asked for an egg to be added on top and of course they didn't bat an eye and made him happy with a twist on the dish. However, make sure you leave room for dessert because they have the best crème brûlée! It was enough to share. I can't wait to go back and try different entrées and desserts. As good as the food was, the staff were even more friendly. The owner has done a nice job adding special touches like reusing the old floor as accent pieces. The staff speak highly of the nice touches. We will be back, but make a reservation. We went on a night of an Opera House event and ate at the bar, which was nice though to talk to the friendly staff. read more
