Scrumptious braised short ribs over a red wine reduction gravy, mashed potatoes and roasted carrots.

A newly renovated, upscale dining venue with a rotating menu curated by the chef/owner! FINALLY-- a place downtown that's opened on Monday. Carefully curated cocktails. Delectable and dreamy dishes. Artistic architectural ambience. lol... enough alliterations! This place is AMAZING! Check it out for yourself-- you won't be disappointed. We came here for an early Valentine celebration. Staff was superbly friendly. Every. Single. Person. We had the Tom Cruise vodka cocktail and loved it! My husband had short ribs with a wine reduction, mashed potatoes and roasted carrots. I had the smoked salmon with dill compote, roasted potatoes and zucchini. We both could t get enough of each other's dishes. Even joked about licking our plates clean! lol... we were actually tempted. So thankful we have another great place to enjoy in our community.

We made reservations here for an evening out and this place exceeded expectations. This place offers an upscale dining experience in Stoughton. The smaller dining space provides an intimate setting with a boho, fresh design. The food is outstanding! I had the chicken breast and my husband had the pork chop. The drink menu has a variety of beverages - alcoholic and non alcoholic. My husband enjoyed the Spicy Sandia Margarita. He said it was one of the best margaritas he has had. We are looking forward to our next meal here to try something else!

The best new place in town and such a hidden gem! We always get the mussels- which are a French white wine preparation and very high quality, the French fries- which are salty, thin, crispy, and perfect, and the Spring Salad- which is my favorite- light vinaigrette dressing, sweet candied pecans, beets, goat cheese. This is a staple light meal for us now that we come for every (or every other) week. We've also had the shrimp and grits which were pretty good. We need to try out more of their entrees, I'm sure they are amazing! Service is great and the restaurant is cozy. This place goes toe to toe with many high end Madison restaurants.

It's an utter shame how terrible Dane County is about making lake/water space accessible to the public (one thing Chicago does way better than Wisconisn, unfortunately), but Water Street Tavern totally gives me the waterfront dining fix. It's along the river, not the lake, which gives it a bit more of an intimate feel to it. Their outdoor space is absolutely beautiful and I highly recommend checking it out. We came here for our monthly fish fry, never having been here before. We came around 5:30p on a Friday and were told no indoor tables until about 8pm. It was a tad chilly out but we opted for the immediate outdoor table. There is a fireplace out there, but it's more aesthetic than anything, it provided no heat our way but we were find with sweaters. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and super fun to chat with. I wish they had your basic cod on the fish fry menu - and I was surprised they didn't - but I opted for the walleye instead. It's one very large piece but it was pretty good! Crunhcier breading but not excessive. I enjoyed the house old fashioned. I wish they had supper club boozy ice cream dessert drinks, but they don't so I opted for a cocktail as dessert instead. My dining mates got the cheesecake and ate the whole thing. We left around 7:15pm and it was empty inside, not sure what happened there, but either way I'm glad we ended up outside and I will definitely be back here more often now that I've discovered this wonderful place!

I love that it's a local joint, love that it has a legit Viking ship bar that blows smoke/steam, and love getting beer brewed on site. And a nice variety of beer at that. It had been awhile since I've been here, but it continues to be delicious. We came here for a Friday fish fry and while busy, the wait wasn't terrible at all. We went to the bar to grab a drink, and it seemed a bit wrong not to get a beer but it also seemed wrong not to get an Old Fashioned while waiting for a fish fry. So, Makers Old Fashioned Sour it was, and it was really good! I'd definitely order it again, and love that they didn't over-fill it with ice. It could sit for a bit and not get so terribly watered down. But OMG the fish fry! We try out a new fish fry spot every month, or at least most months, and I have to say this fish is probably my #1 that we've had. It was so delicious. The breading on the outside was light but crispy, and the inside was juicy and moist (sorry, it's really the best word to describe this!). I brought the third piece home (it took a lot of willpower not to eat it). I tear the breading off and give some of the fish as a topper for my pup's dinner. This fish and breading was seriously so good I'd eat the breading straight out of the refrigerator off the fish. The french fries were good, but had a few too many that were overly crunchy (reject fries, as I like to call them). Even so, still good and the fish still gets it 5 stars and the title of "Best." The roll that came with it was likewise delicious. Fun, local atmosphere and good food all around - the regular menu is great, the fish fry is great, the beer is great, and the drinks from the bartenders are great.

The Norwegian meatballs were tasty (the brown gravy was a bit heavy) and the fresh roll was to die for! The chicken in my sandwich wasn't vey flavorful and did not bring out the flavor of the pesto aoli. I would go back to try other offerings on the menu.

Ordered the Bacon Quarter Pounder meal, threw in two Double Cheeseburgers, two extra fries and a Mango Pineapple Smoothie like I was trying to get my guts rearranged in the least sexy way possible. Food The Bacon Quarter Pounder was thick. Like... disrespectful thick. Juicy, heavy, and it made me grip the steering wheel a little too hard while I was eating it in the parking lot. Every bite had me making sounds I usually save for when someone's actually got me pinned down. The two Double Cheeseburgers came in swinging -- stacked, greasy, and absolutely relentless. By the second one I was moaning with my mouth full and not even trying to hide it. The fries were hot and salty in a way that felt personal. The Mango Pineapple Smoothie was creamy, sweet, and gave me that final "I've been used" feeling at the end. I was so stuffed I had to sit there for ten minutes questioning every life choice that led me to this moment. Service The staff moved fast and didn't flinch when I ordered enough food to emotionally support a divorce. They handed me the bag like they knew exactly what they were doing to me. Professional. Slightly judgmental. I respect it. Ambiance Clean enough. Bright enough. The kind of lighting that makes you realize you're really out here deep-throating a burger in public at 8pm on a Wednesday. The booths are comfortable if you need to unbutton your pants and have a moment of silence for your dignity afterward. Final Verdict: It was so good it almost felt wrong. I left full, slightly ashamed, and weirdly satisfied -- basically the fast food version of a one-night stand. Would do it again. Might need to bring protection next time though (Tums). 4 stars because it was incredible... but now my stomach and I are no longer on speaking terms.
