This is not a dive bar or restaurant. I would classify it as a destination bar. A supper club type atmosphere. Great food and service. Come in for a surprise. I was.

Four of us stopped by for dinner on Thursday night. Dinner was ok. Salad bar was small but tasty, my shrimp was not hand breaded, but the twice baked potato made the meal. My friend had the lasagna special and it was good, but the marinara was a tad sweet for me. Other friend had the sirloin steak and she said it was good and she loved the fries! The road in front of the place is getting redone so gravel road driving was necessary, not bad though. Staff was super friendly! We sat outside and the patio area is a place I would go back to. Cash only, but atm onsite.

Wow, what an absolutely beautiful location and restaurant!!! We often hike at Indian Lake down the road and have passed by this place many times wanting to stop in to check it out. Well, today was the PERFECT day to grab a bite to eat and have a few cocktails!!! The service is wonderful as it is under new ownership. They are looking to hire more staff so it may be a tab slow but the cocktails are AMAZING so get enjoy the atmosphere on the outdoor patio - you won't regret it! Mushroom Burger was delicious. Wings were crispy. We also checked out the building next door available for party rentals and were blown away! We'll definitely be having an event here in the future.

Food is decent, but the beer is $7 for spotted cow. Spent too much money there. Probably won't go back.

Great fish fry with cod, walley, shrimp. The food is decent with a typical salad bar selection. Expect a long wait but with it.

Went there for the first time. Everything was fabulous. The sirloin steak was the best I ever had. Very reasonable too.

The service was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely taken care of without being rushed. And the food... absolutely delicious. What really stood out was how well everything came together--great service, great food, and a comfortable, inviting vibe. It's the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit. Highly recommend checking it out if you haven't already!

This being a building trying to do all the things (bar, concert venue, restaurant) I was apprehensive about sourcing and quality. When I asked where the hanger steak came from, my server checked and reported it came from Jenifer's Market in Madison--always nice to know where quality ingredients come from. So I ordered the hanger steak. I felt better knowing there was competence at the executive chef level and whomever in the kitchen gave this answer this day. The hanger steak was cooked perfectly to my requested temperature. My only complaint is the lack of dinner rolls. When none came with my entree I asked about it and was told they only come out after 5pm. When I asked at 5pm, I received two - and they are two bite size rolls. But the four bites were worth the wait though I'm suggesting to the place that dinner rolls be made to order with dinner. I didn't love the feel of having to ask for what is listed on the menu (rolls with dinner entrees - no mention of only available after a certain time). Overall, great steak and attentive service, but the bread situation makes me reduce this one star.

Everyone in the place was nice, down right friendly.... and I'm guessing there is a regular flow of recreational bikers coming and going. The bartender knew just about everyone there except for us. But we'll be back. The fresh burgers and bacon comes from the Lodi, one town over, and you can tell it's fresh and local. Prices are extremely reasonable. Of course there's a full bar with about five beers on tap and an ample supply of bottled beers including local favorites. But it's the burgers I'll be back for. So take the field trip and check out Tootsies. Seek out the out of the way local joints during your summer travels.

Menu is very limited, but that didn't matter to us. We were going to check out the burgers. Hamburger with a slice of raw onion, two bacon cheese burgers (their specialty) with a slice of raw onion and a side of fries, and a veggie wrap rounded out our order. Burgers were a good size and cooked well. Meat was coarse grind which we like. Fries were nothing special but came hot to the table. The wrap was underwhelming. Service was friendly. Food was better than average but place needed a good cleaning, especially the cooking grill and back room which was visible. 4 stars is generous. Likely not return until cleanliness is addressed.

I saw ductwork in the rafters; maybe the AC was not working? We went for Mother's Day brunch. It was probably not their best culinary showing, buffets usually aren't. I was not a fan of the Cheesy Hash Brown and Egg Casserole. It was the texture, not so much the taste. The French toast was a good mixture of cinnamon and sugar, but only if you could find the pieces that weren't dried out. I liked the bacon: salty, well cooked and crunchy. The flank steak was tender and tasty. Prepared to a perfect medium and marinaded in a nice meaty broth. The chicken in the Lemon Chicken Piccata was overcooked, dry, resulting in a tough chew. I did enjoy the Mushroom Strudel. A moist dish with a tasty gravy drizzle. I would've liked to try the bread pudding with caramel sauce, but they apparently ran out. The other desserts were ok. They looked like they were hastily cut into slices and served on the thinnest of paper plates. I could tell those running the place were also a bit frustrated; they made their feelings rather vocal, easy for all seated to hear (that's like a major rule of restauranting: the issues in the back should never be exposed in the front, where the customers can hear.) All in all, not a good first impression. But, I am willing to return and have a normal sit-down meal. Then I can see how they do. I have been told that their service and food is usually pretty solid. We shall see.....
