I have been one time so far and I would go back! Liked the atmosphere, pretty small, they remodeled after the previous restaurant in that space, and lost some of the dining area that used to be there. I will say that we have eaten here before and been very happy. However, I will never be ordering from here ever again. As part of my carryout order tonight I ordered a potato skins appetizer. The cost of this appetizer is $7.50. Unfortunately, and this is not indicated on the menu. There are only 3 potato skins included with this order. I have never in my life seen a potato skins appetizer, or an appetizer of any type for that matter only include 3 items. Appetizers are meant to be shared by a table. 3 potato skins for that price is absolutely insane. If this is what you plan to include for $7.50 then you need to include the amount on your menu. People will probably say I am poor in response to this review. Not true, by far. I just simply don't enjoy being ripped off. Ridiculous and shameful. read more

Covered outdoor dining. Service was good and seating was comfortable not to warm since it is fully covered.

First visit and really enjoyed it. Fun, casual atmosphere with very friendly staff. Great drinks and wings were fantastic; best of all local ownership and not a franchise! So glad to see this restaurant take the place of the old Paddy's. If you're a Dayton native and like Doubledays and/or Golden Nugget, this is a must try. First time we went here was on a Saturday evening. Service was bad but the food was good. So we just went today, on A Sunday at 2pm. It wasn't busy at all. We ordered our food quickly. Couldn't get refills. The waiter kept telling us food would be up in a minute. Finally after an hour we asked the hostess how much longer. She came back and said the cook said they were starting out food soon. We left and won't come back. No manager even bothered to come talk to us. Have eaten there twice. Atmosphere, bar seating and service are a draw. The disappointment has been the menu items we've chosen. The pot roast selections are fine, nothing special - and a focus on the menu. However the fish part of the fish and chips was a huge let down. The breading was too thick and its texture was on the soggy side. My wife had fish tocos and generally was pleased with the taste, but both our meals were not as warm as we like. So overall, we will prefer Doubleday's, which always excels. read more

A variety of great meals to chose from. Definitely recommend trying this restaurant if you haven't. Easy to get in and out at lunch time.

I went for a weekday lunch and the place wasn't busy. Being the new place in town, decided to stop in before it got too popular. It was open less than a week when we went, and there were some bugs that needed to be worked out. Our waitress was very helpful explaining the menu. The wife ordered a chicken quesadilla and a salad with blue cheese dressing. It was very tasty, but we disagreed on the dressing. There were large chunks of cheese in it, but it was too tangy for my taste (wife liked it however, and since it was her salad...) I had the Famous Fish & Chips, and it was huge and also tasted pretty good. However, it was 35 minutes from the time I ordered to the time our food arrived. If the place was packed, I'd be more understanding, but again, it wasn't, or I probably wouldn't have come here to start with. Somebody other than our waitress brought the food to the table, and there wasn't an explanation. There also wasn't the lettuce and tomato that was supposed to come with the Fish & Chips (it states this on the menu). I flagged our original waitress down who took care of this, and then she explained that our food took so long to come out because they had run out of fish and had to get more. At lunch? I know it's frozen, not fresh, so maybe I don't understand the concept of deep-frying fish. Anyway, I wish she would have told us this earlier because I would have ordered something else. 35 minutes is much too long to wait, particularly at lunch. She was nice though and comped us our iced teas. I'll give this place another try, as the food deserved 4 stars. read more

The restaurant used to have so much potential but it is quickly losing its allure. The last two visits have not gone as well and it appears management has gone awol. Apparently the restaurant does not have enough utensils or glassware and the hostesses seem to have very random rules about seating. After two chaotic visits, we will not be returning. read more

We thought we would try this restaurant given its connection to Doubledays and Golden Nugget, which we love. On the plus side, the server was attentive and the food came out quickly. The disco fries were delicious! My husband got the spicy garlic boneless nuggets - and the taste was just buffalo sauce. Very unimpressed. The biggest waste of money was the salad - iceberg lettuce with a few craisins and some feta. With the many other delicious options in the area, we were unimpressed for the money. My review isn't a good one. This restaurant is affiliated with Doubleday's in Centerville OH, but a far cry from that one. Two customers at a table were the only ones in the restaurant at 4:30 PM on a weekday. After being seated, not being given time to look at the selection of cocktails, I ordered a glass of wine and was asked if I was ready to order. What? Uh, no. I want to enjoy my glass of wine, I told my waitress. Within 15 minutes of my arrival, my waitress asked me five times if I was ready to order. OK, fine. I did order then and my food arrived shortly. However, my meal was interrupted seven more times by the waitress and I paid my check and left, not really enjoying my food, the meal or the visit....which lasted less than an hour. What I hoped would be a nice, leisurely supper turned out to be an expensive bad experience. When will management realize that their employees who hound customers, rushing them in and out, are turning customers away? Well, they turned me away for the last time. First visit to this relatively new restaurant. We had a late afternoon lunch (approximately 3PM), so the place was not busy. We were seated immediately and placed our order relatively quick. We received our food after a short wait. The salad and quesadillas was very good. My husband ordered a BLT sandwich and a side of onion rings. The onion rings were very good...but the BLT was just OK. I enjoyed the visit, and this has become another place to add to my list of places to visit again. I plan on returning very soon. Second time here. Food is solid with some unexpected but welcome options in a gastro pub/ sports bar. Boneless grilled wings are solid and sweet potatoes fries are money. The little things like crisp celery are not missed and the kids menu is ample. My Diet Coke and Bacardi was a generous pour and they offer local faves like yellow springs boat show. The speed of service was good considering our waitress was in the weeds but she handled it well. Managers walking around making sure the guests are happy. Coming back. read more

My wife and I stopped in for a late mid-afternoon lunch on a weekday to check it out. As would be expected, at that hour it was pretty dead. We stood at the unattended hostess stand for a while with no luck. The blond female bartender who wasn't busy since there no one at the bar could have helped us, as she walked past us and didn't say a word, much less offer to seat us or find someone who would. I finally found someone and we were seated. I tried a coney dog which tasted good, but its hard to mess up a coney dog. On the downside I ate it as an "open face" sandwich because the hotdog fell through of the bottom of the bun when I picked it up. My wife had a salad with chicken which was good, but like my hotdog pretty basic. This is the 4th restaurant over the years at this "sports bar" type location and we were hoping this one would last. Once the newness wears off with first time diners, I seriously doubt there will be many repeat customers. read more
