Stopped by tonight for food and drinks. Ordered beers and asked for food suggestions - what's good, what are they known for, etc. and server gave us some suggestions. After dropping off our beers, our server disappeared. We drank our beers, and continued to wait. Tried to flag our server down several times as he wandered around the restaurant, emptied trash and checked on the outside patio. I guess we were invisible??? 30 minutes, no service. Finally, we got out our phones and ordered Chipotle. I've never done that before, but we were hungry. Finally a different server stopped by the bar tables so we took that opportunity to pay our bill and left to get our Chipotle. Disappointing. We won't stop in again. read more

First time visitor, but definitely going to be a repeat customer. Trivia night was an absolute blast! The service was incredible! There were multiple servers walking around and assisting - bringing new drinks, taking away glasses. Our main server had great intuition. I had already ordered a drink and was talking to the table about ordering food. Not even a minute later, she appeared at the table saying she overheard us talking about ordering food too. Loved that! I ordered the pretzels and queso. It was so delicious! The pretzels were hot and the perfect combination of soft on the inside and a little crispy on the outside. I ended up ordering a couple more drinks, including a Moscow Mule. Again, service was great. The drinks came out so fast everyone at the table said "whoa that was quick!" at the same time. The game host for trivia was great. He had a clear voice and spoke slowly. Our team won and we got $25 off our tab! So much fun! Highly recommend! read more

Updated 9/23/19 Woo hoo! The E has received an extreme makeover! The new owners have totally saved this old place. Great new bathrooms, much better layout, TV's that work, a new patio with great furniture, and yummy food as well. This place is no longer a dive, it's family friendly and 100% cleaned up. If you ever hung out there before, you won't believe your eyes, you must go see it! Thank you for saving our neighborhood hangout, we'll be back! read more

Not prepared for Wing Week. The point is to hop from place to place indicated on the passport. This was our first stop. Wings and our last! One staffer tonight for the entire bar. Also states they only have one fryer. Why the heck would you participate in Cincy Wing Week! Wings were bland and forgettable. The lone staffer tonight was also unfamiliar with the deals for wing week. Checked our bill and she had rang our $5 Makers wrong! When we arrived and asked about specials she did not mention the beer deal that includes fries or tots. We later put an order in that took forever. We'd finished our wings bourbon and beer and decided not to have them. Then she stated we would have to pay extra for it beers. We decided "F-it" we will take those babies to go. Fries are the frozen coated kind and tots seemed over cooked. Ironic cause they were not ready in efficient time. Had some pretty bad service at this place recently - this is somewhat to be expected, as we went during a game and everywhere is short-staffed. However, I don't think they clean their tap lines well here, as me and another person both got sick after two beers (we were both drinking the same one). I'm giving two stars, as this place used to be really good. Hopefully, they manage things a bit better here and improve the cleanliness. read more

A regular spot for us, all the food we have had on the menu has been great. Good beer and bourbon selection. Mix of bar style seating and regular seating as well as two large patios. Plenty of TVs. Can be a bit loud but I think you would expect that from a place like this. Service is usually pretty good but sometimes it can be slow to get the check. I joined some friends for drinks and food on the outdoor patio. Even on a hot day, the patio was lovely and cool, with lots of seating options. Unfortunately, service left something to be desired-- we had to head inside to order and pay. It was a bit tricky to track down a server when we wanted a water refill or needed silverware. I was left underwhelmed by the pretzel app. My husband enjoyed the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and his watermelon lemonade. We may be back, but only to have a drink on the patio. Have been coming here for years, and never reviewed, but the service today was insanely good to the point I wanted to leave this. Several servers helped us and they were all amazing. These days service is down hill overall at most of our favorite places (seems like since post pandemic), but here it's been unusually good. read more

The E is such a fun place with both inside and outside options. The atmosphere and food are great. If you're a trivia fanatic, they have trivia on Tuesday's or Wednesday' (I forget). The food here is also so good, you just have to wait for a while to get it. However, if you want to come for drinks and fun, highly recommend :) read more

Dropped in The Establishment during their happy hour. Got quick service & tried their draft lager. Not bad - was only $4 a pint, was cold & a decent beer. Got a $5 nacho w/ chicken... very good & plenty for the money paid. Only recommendation is maybe give a few extra tortilla chips. Bartender was nice & attentive. Place had good crowd. I came into the establishment on a Sunday afternoon and was greeted warmly by two stunning women. They went by the names of Kennedy & Rebecca. They have the best customer service I have ever witnessed in my 33 years of life. I had a delicious bowl of chili and a signature cocktail that was divine. After my meal I warmed up by the fire pit with a gentleman named Datillo. I will return to be in the presence of all 3 individuals and to consume many of the cocktails. read more

As of September of 2019, the E has been completely remodeled. The remodel was very well done. The space is new and clean. All reviews prior to this time should be ignored. Check it out! The E? More like The F! We waited 20 minutes to get contacted by our waitress then she brought out the wrong drinks. Then we waited an hour and a half for food and only saw our waitress twice the whole time plus they forgot a whole meal. It was a Monday night and not busy whatsoever. The waitress was rude and rolled her eyes multiple times while we were talking to her. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It was not a good experience. read more

This has been my go to spot since the bars/restaurants were slowly reopening last summer. I have lived in Oakley for awhile and never used to go there. It was very rare but before it used to be so dark and outdated. Now it definitely looks fresh and clean inside and out. Love the new patio space outside. Starting with the service- Kennedy and Rebecca were the most friendly bartenders we've had in awhile they even introduced us to the cook trinko and they all made us feel like family. Took two hours for a cold chicken sandwich and cold fries. Watched people who were seated an hour after us get their food. Other people I was with waited three hours and gave up and left to get skyline. After 45 mins of waiting our orders should have been prioritized but they weren't. My friend almost fainted from hunger. Ran to a friends house to get snacks to tide us over. Very disappointed. read more

We saw our waitress twice in two hours: the first time was 15 minutes after we arrived and the second was when we called her over from another table. We didn't receive food without complaining and asking for the manager. When the manager came he said the kitchen is slow and there's nothing he can do about it. Needed some food late at night and pretty much all the establishments and that's not a pun were shut down in the surrounding area so I ordered some wings to go and the people on the phone and in person were extremely nice. The atmosphere is casual it does appear that there's many locals there late at night but it also had a very relaxing feel. I arrived early and my wings were ready shortly there after and I took them back to the hotel and everything was on par and the wings were delicious. I would give it a try not only late at night but any other time as well. read more
