Ambiance was great and service above and beyond. Inside is very classy. Our service was impeccable, everyone was nice and recommendations for our palette was excellent. We loved our drinks. They also gave us complimentary drinks. The Barrel-Aged Manhattan was so smooth and tasted amazing. The On A Yacht also had a great flavor and I could taste the yuzu which is my favorite. Definitely recommend the place, the vibes and the drinks!

This seems like a really nice place, and I enjoyed the atmosphere. Unfortunately, the service made the experience disappointing. I ordered a tasting, and it took over 30 minutes to arrive. It had already turned midnight, and we had the birthday boy sitting there waiting while it seemed like our server had forgotten about us. We eventually asked for the check while we were still waiting. What made it more frustrating was seeing a group of six who arrived after us receive their drinks before we did. We spent a good portion of our time just sitting and waiting, and this was supposed to be one of the highlights of our night, so that was disappointing. This was my first time here, and I'm hoping it was just an off night. Because it's Steph Curry, I'm still willing to give it another try, I just wish our first experience had been better.

3.5 STARS Date: Friday, April 10th, 2026 Time: 10pm Party of: 2 Meal: After Dinner Drinks Reservation Made Thru: SevenRooms about 3 weeks prior *Test Kitchen NA ($16) *The Professor ($24) *Alcohol Tax ($3.45) We were having dinner at Bourbon Steak and decided to have an after dinner drink at Eighth Rule. I didn't realize until I was in the space, but this used to be a wine bar. I thought it was gonna be more like an underground speakeasy, but it is street level with lots of glass looking out. They do keep it dark for more of that vibe tho. We were running a lil late, but luckily our waitress at dinner notified them that we needed an extra 15 mins. The Professor has mitcher's rye, griffard mure, maraschino, lemon, herbsaint. It sounded like a twist on a manhattan which is one of my fav cocktails. i did find this a little light and sweeter than I prefer. But otherwise a fine drink. Fine for an after dinner beverage. They don't have a huge list of cocktail creations. Next time, I'd probably just order something basic since I like my drinks more spirit forward. REVIEW #4047

Stephen's Chicken Tendies & a Trolley

The Eighth Rule is a very cute and cozy bar with a moody, intimate atmosphere--just know it's very dark inside. The drinks were excellent, and the bites are definitely worth ordering. We tried the truffle Parmesan fries (my favorite!), Stephen's Chicken Tendies, and the Duck Fat Fry Trio. Everything paired perfectly with our drinks. I only stopped by for cocktails and appetizers before my dinner reservation, but I'm glad I got to check this place out. If you're planning to visit, I'd recommend making a reservation since it can get pretty busy on certain days.

Drop in for a drink. They make me Ana amazing cocktail and it look too pretty to drink. Bartenders was so friendly and made such fast drinks. The deco is perfect setting for relax time. It is a must to stop in.

Walked in and immediately knew this was a whole ass vibe. Steph Curry, you did good! Dim lighting, masculine energy, sultry and swanky, I loved every bit of it. Our server, Amelia, was the best! I ordered a Moscow Mule and it was perfect! For nibbles, my friends and I ordered the truffle bread, the chicken nuggets, the duck fat fries and the Parmesan fries. Definitely not a meal that would fill us up, but delicious in flavor and in presentation. Vibe is a 10 out of 10!!

I booked this for my wife's birthday. The staff and service were amazing. The modern Speak Easy ambiance was pretty damn great. The food and drinks were killer. My only qualm was that my swordfish was fishy. "WTH ITS FISH!" Is probably what you're yelling into your phone right now, BUT, swordfish is not a fishy, fish. It's sweet and lean. So, my guess is, it wasn't the freshest but the flavor profile if you get past the fish taste, it was seasoned perfectly. It was a bit too dim for us mid-fourties' folks, but it did set a beautiful tone. So no judgement here . Louis our server, the manager and the hosts were all very present, sweet and had the best personalities ever. Our table never sat cluttered with dirty's, our drinks were always full and we had the best night! Remember, it's about the experience the expense .

Tucked away in the Westin St Francis hotel, you honestly wouldn't know where it is until staff tells you. It's very non assuming and to be honest oddly placed. Seemed like it was an old conference room in the hotel that they remodeled into this bar. Nevertheless, the actual bar itself was cute. The service was nice and the drinks were good. I went with the Mosaic bc I'm a mezcal girl and it was delicious. Most of the drinks seemed on the sweet side which I like but may not be everyone's jam. Hoping to see Curry...but didn't. Maybe next time.

The Eighth Rule, conspicuously tucked away inside of the Westin St. Francis hotel, is definitely a must do if you are in San Francisco. It's a Steph Curry collab with impeccable service and a superb ambiance. Luis and Emminsky are tremendous servers / wait staff and will cater to your needs. I highly recommend this spot and will surely return on my next visit. 10/10

Amazing time! Very cool speakeasy vibe. The cocktails and service are on point and a great place for a shared dining experience before a night out! We started with the trio of duck fat fries- OMG! Plain, garlic, and BBQ. I have to say plain was my fav cause you could really taste the duck fat! Perfection. The chicken nuggies were crunchy, meaty, and dusted in spice. We enjoyed the table side tasting menu with three courses. We started with the sashimi- huge hunks of fresh perfect fish. Next the seasonal agnolotti stuffed with spring peas- yum!! And finally the short rib with horseradish mashed. Potatoes and onion ring. A great way to try many dishes. We left full and happy! And we had a few celebrity sightings too

If you're looking for a fun night out, the Eighth Rule is definitely worth a visit! The vibe is super chill with dim lighting, perfect for a speakeasy feel. We started with the Duck Fat Fry Trio--plain fries were the standout for me. The highlight, though, was Stephen's Chicken Tendies. Huge pieces of chicken that are crunchy on the outside and juicy inside--yum! For our group of six, we didn't go overboard and followed Rule #3 with a Trio of Sashimi (great fish portions) and the Truffle Agnolotti and Braised Wagyu Short Rib served with horseradish whipped potatoes and topped with an onion ring. Overall, everyone left full and happy, the service was great and there may have been a celebrity sighting or so ;)

Perfect old-fashioned !!

Love a great bourbon! Tried the Steph Curry Gentleman's Cut old fashioned and I was happy to say it was smooth and tasty!! Had my birthday dinner upstairs at bourbon steak (see that review!) and then stopped in downstairs thru an unmarked door! Very quaint and pleasant- it's tight seating so you'll be forced to mingle ! It's not very loud so you can still converse and the music is mid-loud so there is still an ambiance. Everyone was dressed up and intimately sharing their thoughts in low conversation. The drinks were made with a heavy pour just like I like !! It is reservation only bc it's limited seating- we (only 2 of us) got a space by the bar but the back area is also cute for "bigger" groups. Just fyi : Expect to drop $60 on 2 drinks!

Steph doesn't miss and neither does his bourbon. We came for just a single cocktail ( you def wanna get a reservation) to start the night and we loved it. Loads of specialty cocktails based on his bourbon. The bar is moody and masculine. A great way to start a night out or a chill place to hang.

What a flop. Cold and bleak with no ambience. Stick with westins lobby bar. Much more fun and lively.

The escape room is Alice In Wonderland themed and includes three drinks as part of the experience. Arrived on time for our reservation but were held in a waiting room for about 30 min before we could start. Didn't seem like anyone else was doing the escape room but it was also the week of their biz anniversary so maybe they were just super busy. Phoenix led our escape room and was such a delight. Friendly, great banter, helpful throughout the escape. The escape game is split across multiple rooms with a good diversity of puzzles. Don't want to spoil too much here but they were good challenges. Drinks we incorporated throughout and presented like test tubes that were drinkable in a gulp, kind of like a cocktail shot. Personally, I found the first two drinks to be a bit too sweet, but I liked the third, which was coconut forward. The price is definitely a bit more costly. It was $100/person for a party of five. I understand that it was an escape room + the staff + the cocktails. If you max out the party size, it's about $85-ish per person which I think is pretty solid. Still very unique and fun and glad I got to try it

This place has so much going on. It makes it ideal for so many different things. Hot day? Want to bring your doggie?? They have an airy patio and a bunch of cute tables out front. The patio is covered so when it rains, it's also ideal. Feeling bougie? Order some oysters and a glass of one of their fancy cocktails. Handicapp or have kiddos? They got you covered. Need a cool place for a dinner date? There's tables inside. Have a group? Also not a problem. Feeling peckish and just need to get out of the house? Go sit at the bar, order a beer, and watch the game. Make sure to order the thrasher fries with malt vinegar salt and pepper and Dijon and black pepper aïoli. It is truly as delectable as it sounds, and by far my favorite thing there! That being said, I am a french fry aficionado. We also tried the coconut chicken sandwich which I found to be a bit different than a lot of standard fried chicken sandwiches. I did ask for the chili sauce on the side because I don't like it to be too sweet. Boyfriend loved it with the chili sauce. I liked it without. I did order a side of aïoli. Another thing I found really nice was that they use the chicken thigh rather than the breast. Most of the fried chicken sandwiches I've had use the breast and this was a very nice change. The chicken was juicy and the sandwich was super tasty. They offer all sorts of tasty delights, like fish tacos, mochicko chicken bites, mac & cheese with or without bacon and crab! Yum. If I was to make one recommendation, it would be to add another salad to the menu. Your menu offers a wonderful variety of delicious treats that are on the richer and heavier side so having another option for something on the lighter side would be fantastic. The service here was outstanding. We came early on a Tuesday, and the bartender was great. She was very helpful and excellent at her craft. The other staff members were equally friendly and so welcoming. We don't get out as much as we'd like to anymore because we have a little one so it was awesome to go out and be treated with such kindness and great hospitality.
