What a GEM! Found this place while on road trip, we had a Showgirl salad and Turkey, bacon, Swiss on rye, with fries. Both of these were made to perfection. I know a salad and sandwich made tho perfection, YES they were outstanding. The perfect combination of items, seasoning and dressing. Anyway we will stop again next time in Utah. Thanks for the meal. The food was good. My kids didn't eat all the French Fries. I am a temporarily handicapped person in the restaurant when I noticed the prices. Or we would have left. Btw... the ramp into the grocery store side is very steep Use the street side entrance for handicap access. We have been here a few times brunch and lunch. The food has been excellent and the bloody Mary have been good to. Most recently we stopped before a round of golf and had the chicken fried steak breakfast. My husband wanted a mimosa and the bartender said they didn't have the stuff for that which seemed odd. We went with the bloody Mary's, but he was disappointed. He really wanted the mimosas so hopefully they can address that as they serve breakfast brunch. They were great allowing us to order breakfast even after the scheduled time had passed. read more

What a find! Wonderful, delicious straight forward great meals. The chicken fried steak was the best we've had in a long time. The French dip was excellent. The salad with chicken, strawberries, blueberries and feta was fresh, tasty and delicious. We loved the fries and even ordered an extra basket. We got cinnamon rolls to go because they looked delicious. Based on the food we'd already tasted we are confident they'll be delicious. Crystal, the owner and cook is very friendly. It's obvious she cares about the food quality and making sure the standards are keep high. The service we received was impeccable. Very attentive. Definitely a must stop for future trips. read more

We had a delightful breakfast at this unique eatery which has a Marilyn Monroe theme. The owner's name is Marilyn and her daughter sayings of the day. I needed a gluten free item and they made me a custom veggie omelet. My husband's pancake was delicious and huge. The best part was talking to the owner about life in Filmore and how people have so many fun things to do outside, there's no time to spend watching tv. The French dip and the shrimp are really, really good. The fries are great but the ketchup is inedible. The server was nice but not very good. Ordered a Juicy IPA but got a Hefeweizen. Asked for no mushrooms on the French dip but got big thick gross mushrooms. There's also a Universal Service Fee AND a Restaurant Tax. Go there for the food but not the service. read more

We were passing through town while traveling and came upon this cute place in downtown Fillmore. Decorated so cute with so much to look at ! Very fun decor! Wasn't in the mood for fast food on our road. So we stopped here and were not disappointed. We still had 6 hours to go and decided yo split "The Kennedy" a16 oz rib eye cooked to perfection by Allen. I rolled into town all hungry and tired, hoping to find local cuisine which would set me on fire. The decore was quaint and appeared to be clean, but the rest I will share trying not to be mean. While the waitress was nice and tried her sweet best, her knowledge of the menu appeared to a big guess. Items were shown on the menu that had a mean twist, when I attempted to order I found they did not exsist. I made my meal choice and the order was placed, so I waited in comfort to stuff my sallow face. I was taking in the ambiance when an employee laid bare, and sagged around the room showing his "stylish" underwear. Out came the order I got it toot sweet, but the concoction on top vaguely resembled meat. The food was strait Sysco and heated in haste, forsaking real quality with only a bland taste. I was hungry and ate but was not fulfilled, a disappointing experience just run-of- the-mill. Three stars is all I could find in my sad little heart, for the Cafe on main that now makes me fart. So trust me dear reader if you need a bite and libation, do yourself a favor and go nuke a burrito at the nearby gas station. read more

Worst experience ever. The waitress was sweet, could have used a helper. Brought salad the same time as the main meal, only brought on set up for 2 dinners. After driving for 7 hours and reading the reviews we were looking forward to a nice meal. My husband's steak was good. Fillmore is kind of country-like, out in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful mountains. If you pass through Fillmore Utah looking for food. I recommend this place!! The Eatery. This place the people here are so down to earth. There's a salad bar in here. The menu is simple. There's even ice cream! I mean I'm not trying to make a big deal of ice cream you just got to see for yourself. The restaurant is merged with a retail store which is awesome also. I've been eating at this spot for the past few days. Whenever my work assignment requires me to come to Utah I'll always request for Fillmore Utah and I will always be at the Eatery. I stopped in The Eatery last month to eat lunch as I was traveling through the area. As soon as I walked in the door It felt very eccentric, the decor seamed like an interesting choice. Theres a lot of Marilyn Monroe memorabilia scattered throughout the restaurant. The waitress seemed nice but not sure if it was a bad day for her or not but she forgot multiple things for our order. I ordered and asked for a soda, thinking she would bring it shorter after placing my order. Seven minutes later I asked her if I could get my soda and she forgot what kind I ordered. I ordered the "Running Wild Burger" because I felt in the mood for a burger and I also like wild game. I was slightly perplexed when my burger came out with this dark purplish black sauce on my burger. I assumed it was some sort of a bbq sauce and apparently missed on the description of the burger that there was a "huckleberry bbq sauce" on the burger. It was different at first and I was okay with the taste but after a handful of bites. The sweetness of the huckleberry was just to much and overpowered the burger. I would not recommend it unless you ask to maybe have a taste test of the sauce to see if you like it. I was excited to try the salad bar but it cost extra and did not purchase the upgrade. I definitely would not go back but I am proud that I supported a local business and that was my goal with eating local. read more

The waitress was new and sweet.... Now the food well.... We ordered the lime shrimp with mashed potatoes and green beans... 3 of us had potaotes and two of us had the beans. Ice cold all of it. The waitress took the plates back and microwaved it for us. My sister in-law had turkey sandwich with gravey, hardly any gravy and tasteless squars of turkey. The kitchen isn't set up for making 22.00 meals. Maybe a grilled burgers but not the rest. It's obvious they scooped the sides out of the side station that had no heat in it. I'd recommend eating somewhere else. The place has a really cute atmosphere, but unfortunately, the food and service was terrible. We waited a while for a table, even though the restaurant was empty. The server was on her phone. I tried the "all day" biscuits and gravy, but the scrambled eggs were brown as if they had been cooked in a dirty pan, and they were a bit too seasoned for my taste. I love a good local spot and will drive out of the way to support one. After hours on the road I happened upon The Eatery hiding a few miles off the interstate in Fillmore. This local spot sits on a corner lot and is connected to a small market. With a super cute vibe inside I knew walking in we'd love it. Seating is limited and we were lucky to get a table. You can order at the counter to go as well. Service was very friendly. The menu has so many good options including a good looking salad bar. I settled on the French dip and fries, my son chicken tenders and my husband the club sandwich. It was cold so I also ordered a coffee. Everything came out so quick. My French dip was phenomenal. The aus ju was hot and added more flavor. The sandwich itself was so full of flavor, meat tender and juicy. Fries were good, but wish they'd had more seasoning. My husband loved the sandwich. He said adding the pickles made it even better. Most clubs we order at home don't come with pickles. Service was great, we talked with the woman who was not only helping in the restaurant, but running the market as well . She let us know they were short handed. Cold, old greasy fries, a salad with cheap dressing, a salad that didn't come with anything mentioned on n the description, literally poured the salad out of the bad. A 17.00 French dip that literally had barely any meat and nothing else on the plate, where was the horseradish?, the generic ketchup and behind the cooks station was a complete disorganized disaster.
