Ty (at least that's what our receipt said his name was) greeted us and was super nice and personable to us. He even went out of his way to ask if my son wanted sprinkles on his ice cream. The food is excellent. The items I tried are: The Peanut Butter Burger (pretty dang good but not as amazing as the one at Chubby's Cafe though), fries (decent but nothing to write home about), onion rings (excellent), grilled cheese sandwich (better than I thought it would be, probably because it had actual cheddar instead of nasty American cheese), and chicken strips (pretty good), fry sauce (good), and Dr Pepper & Cream Soda (pretty good flavor). As the only vegetarian in the group, I walked in wondering if there'd be anything on the menu I'd be willing to pay for. Sick of salads, I went with a cheeseburger without the burger. Best cheese sandwich I've ever had. Rest of the group said their burgers were the best! And to think we only stopped here after the cashier at a local pizza place yelled as we walked into their establishment, "It's gonna take thirty minutes for a pizza!" LOL! Nice little road side burger restaurant and butcher shop. Right outside of Delta Ut on hwy 6. My son and I both had the "Ultimate double burger" with sides. I had onion rings. I have to say I was pretty disappointed in the onion rings. They only gave me 6 medium sized rings and they were over cooked. My Son had the French fries which were homemade and tasted great. He received half a basket full of fries. The Ultimate burger was great. To Patties with grilled onion, tomato, lettuce, fry sauce ( a Utah thing) grilled mushrooms, cheese and jalapeños. The best burger in Delta... and the best burger in at least an hour! All sides besides fries were unavailable which is sad because the onion rings looked amazing!!! But the fries were great and the fry sauce was tasty! I got the ranch burger which had a bunch of toppings ... I recommend the bacon burger too! We did try the shakes but there was something weird with them... very weird chemical or cinnamon taste to the vanilla in the shake... both shakes!!! I don't know how early they closed today, but it was well before 9 when we arrived and it looked like they had been closed for hours. This is a hometown burger joint. They claimed decades of experience providing quality meat and food. I arrived and it was busy but didn't appear (from parking) like it could be overwhelmed. I ordered within 5 minutes of entering the restaurant and standing in line. They did not indicate how long the wait was estimated at. I did notice people lining the walls waiting for food (as all seating was taken). It didn't seem too out of the ordinary. But then I waited. And waited. And waited. My number was 98, and they called 65 or so after I ordered. I waited for 1 hour, standing in various places, because wherever you stood, you were in the way, either of the condiment and utensils bar, or of the drink machine, or the one entrance/exit from the restaurant portion to the store portion (both had seating). There was no good place to wait, unless you grabbed a table. I had ordered to go, so with so little seating available, it seemed selfish to sit down. Any burger joint that respects itself would know how to get food to customers in less than an hour. It was pathetic. No employee ever addressed the customers after their order, either en masse or one by one, trying to keep people happy. I saw people trying to keep hungry kids happy, not knowing that their food was still 45 minutes away. I did hear a cashier tell one couple that the food was about an hour wait, but it sounded to me like the couple asked. They should've asked before paying... I started wondering if I should warn people who walked in. If I ever come back here, it'll be to try the peanut butter burger, because my curiosity is piqued. But I've had a good one elsewhere, so I'm not sure I'll try my luck here, now that I've experienced the dismal operational mismanagement. Fries were ok, ranch burger was ok. The overall experience would have been ok to good in the restaurant/store if the wait hadn't been so ludicrous. read more

Such a fantastic place, the burger barn is located in the same building as the custom meat shop, right off the main road through Delta. We ordered the Western Burger, the Hometown Burger and the Mushroom and Swiss burger. Shared an order of onion rings and cheese curds. Also got shakes for dessert. The shakes came out first and all were very good, lots of flavoring. We got a strawberry cheese cake, a grasshopper (mint & Oreo) and a brownie. The burgers were delicious. Juicy patties, fresh toppings & melty cheese. The onion rings and cheese curds were also perfectly cooked and very hot. Such a great place. The young woman who took our order was polite and got everything perfect. She also brought out our milkshakes. The building looks exactly like it walked out of a new 'western' tv show. When we arrived at Ashton's burger barn there were only a few people seated, but shortly after there was a line of about 30 people which is saying a lot for the small town of Delta. I ordered the ranch burger which is one of their specialty burgers (bigger burger, nicer bun) and it was amazing! Fresh cut fries topped it off. Be prepared to wait, as it's all cooked fresh to order, and there aren't any descriptions of the different types of burgers, so it's hard to determine what to order, but I doubt you could go wrong. My ranch burger had two types of cheese, ham and jalapeños. So good!!! They also have a meat counter, so you know your hamburger is local and fresh. read more

My disappointment was that they super cooked their patties. For a burger joint attached to a butcher shop I would've hoped the burgers wouldn't be over cooked by default. Honestly Red Rabbit Grill had a better basic burger. The other burger options looked good here so it's worth trying out. My GF and I found the fries way too salty for our taste, but our friend enjoyed them and likes saltier fries. Went in on a Monday excited to try their burger food challenge. The posted hours are that they close at 9pm. I arrived at 7:20, and was informed that they were closing early at 8pm. I tried to order the meat head burger for the food challenge 40 minutes before their early closing at 8pm, and they said it would take too long. I left to eat somewhere else. Really good burgers, very juicy beef and crispy bacon. The ice cream was creamy, but there was a limited selection. It was one of those restraints that has a challenge to see if you can eat something that they make, but huge, like a 2 foot ice cream cone. Their challenge food (that's what I call it) is a HUGE 8 patty burger with a pound of fries that you have to finish in 30 mins (no sharing). We were staying in town for a baseball tournament and was recommended this place by some family members and local residents. Ordered the ranch burger salad. I was a little hesitant on ordering a salad because of what I've been served in the past at our local restaurants. It was by far the best thing I've eaten in a very long time. Lots of meat, cheese, lettuce, jalapeños, onions. It was so delicious I wanted to savor every bite that went into my mouth and have it NEVER end. I was enjoying my salad way too much to get a picture My husband ordered the Tri Tip sandwich and fries and he is 200% ready to open one of these in our local area. I couldn't imagine how the peanut butter burger could be a good combination but given the reviews I had to try it. It turned out about as I expected unfortunately. The burger itself was very high quality and well cooked, but peanut butter and beef just don't mix. While everyone was polite, no one seems concerned about protecting anyone else from Covid which wasn't great. I didn't like having to wait indoors where no one was wearing a mask or maintaining social distance. I get that it is a small town but with plenty of interstate traffic it can spread easily. read more
