Stopped on our way to Bryce Canyon and placed our order. Not sure why because it was not very busy but it took like 20 min to get food. They have some outside tables which is nice. I ordered a hamburger and a cheeseburger. The size of the patties were about 1/8" thick the overall flavor was good. The best part was the fries. They are my favorite greasy kind. read more

Stopped by on the way to Capitol Reef and it was cool to visit an old-school drive thru. Everything was made fresh to order. Not a fan, from the beginning it was disappointing, we ordered ahead and when we went to pick up it was very ineffective, got several different things and was told they have no bags to carry. Food was below average, fries super soft and soggy, chicken tenders was ok, the only reason for giving an extra star was the philly steak wrap was quite tasty, we will not go back. read more

Staff is friendly and helpful. Food was great and the hand cut fires and made to order shakes were very good. Small place that is take out only with a few picnic tables. It was a busy popular place for locals so there can be a bit of a wait. But the staff was working hard to get orders prepared in a timely manner. Burgers looked so good. Didn't love the soft shell taco which was sort of a burger in a tortilla shell but still good flavor. This is the place to go in Salina. read more

Such a nice stop on our way to Colorado. We stopped for their yummy shacks and rootbeer floats. The burgers were delicious and I love their burger/ fry sauce. Even at 91 degrees it was so nice to sit in the shade to eat and they keep it really clean. The service was fast and quick. We stopped here on our Summer road trip heading to some national parks! Definitely a highlight after a long day of driving! Very good prices, and you can get a bit of everything! Service last night (Friday) was virtually non-existent. I was behind one car and waited an hour before I got out and placed my order at the window. The car in front of me left 20 min later and then we waited another 30 min before we asked for a refund. We even had to ask for that twice. I'm not sure what the issue was, but I am not kidding you when I mention the time we waited. We ordered a chicken taco and a hot dog. Nothing special. Look, it's not gourmet food. It's not really handcrafted artisanal anything. But what it is, is a perfect road trip food stop. A giant slice of Americana. A small town treasure. And quite the hot spot. I have passed by on a couple of occasions, but never been in the right time or place to really make it happen. But this time, we were headed back from down south and decided to go a couple of extra miles into Salina for food, as the road west back to I-15 is somewhat of a food desert. We pulled up right at lunch time and there was a small line. They got through it fast and even though we had to wait about 15 mins for food, it wasn't too bad. We ordered, and then when they gave us the food, we paid. A little odd as I expected to pay sooner, and though I like the charm of a handwritten ticket, you've got to get these kids some kind of computer system to type in orders and print tickets. A ham and cheese sandwich, a bacon cheeseburger, a rocky road shake, and some onion rings. That's as fine of an order as you're going to get from a drive-in like this, and it was all as expected. The burger was a little anemic, to be honest, and that's maybe one area that didn't quite meet expectations. But I had just eaten an incredible burger two days before, so this was maybe not a good move. I'd branch out and order something besides the burger. The ham and cheese was loaded with lots of extras and I liked it that way. You can stick around and eat at the tables in the shade, or take off. We went to the local park and darn near had the place to ourselves on a holiday. Pretty reasonably priced, and exactly what you'd hope for from a burger drive-in with signage from a bygone era, in a small town in central Utah. read more

Apparently I can't seem to get enough bacon cheeseburgers as that's been my last thee reviews at different locations. Everything was really good here, the burger was juicy and messy, the homemade fries were just right and they even did the specialty sodas at the regular soda price, so the kids enjoyed it as well. First time here in 25 years. Been here for ever, think my first time here was in mid 70's. Place is clean and modernized. Typical small town drive up/drive in. Huge menu with all the favorites. Huge selection of shakes and drinks. I had the double bacon cheese burger. Wife had the fish basket. Awesome hand cut fries! Great fry sauce. Burger was really fresh and good. Fish was pretty big. This was a great little find on our way down south. The people that worked there were very friendly and helped me make some great choices. I ended up getting the Philly cheese steak and it was really good! They used fresh peppers, onions and mushrooms. I really didn't expect the fresh ingredients from this little diner. So good! I also got the munchies which were basically tater tots filled with cheddar cheese. I soaked those bad boys in ranch and they were great! I also got one of their flavored drinks. They are hip on the current soda frenzy going on in Utah with the crazy mixed flavored drinks and they had some great options. The others that I went with got the stand by burger and a chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and they loved their choices too!
