I stopped in on a road trip because it was close to my hotel--how lucky for me. The sandwiches were excellent, as were the ice cream treats--the service was wonderful too. This is a quality establishment. read more

We stopped here while driving through this past Thursday, and I'm so glad we did! It's a great little spot for the family. The food was delicious, the service was incredibly fast, and everyone was so friendly. We were helped by a big guy with a mustache who was incredibly helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Great customer service really stood out, and we'll definitely stop by again the next time we're in the area!! read more

The sandwiches were all good the ice cream was great we're going back soon choice of bread makes it interesting

I stopped by this evening about 5:30 p.m. to get one of their famous fresh strawberry shakes, large. When she handed it to me, it just looked like vanilla ice cream. I asked if there were really any strawberries in it. She said yes, that it was all mixed in. I have eaten about 2/3 of it. All I saw was a few tiny specks of red but all I tasted was vanilla ice cream. I don't know if they put in a certain amount of strawberries, but I didn't taste any strawberries in it and I only saw tiny specks. I was disappointed and will no longer crave to eat their fresh strawberry shakes. read more

Ordered a panini sandwich but it turns out to be a bagel sandwich. . . Squishy and messy. Lots of sauce and bagel, little meat!

You walk in and this place is spacious for a group setting. We were only here to try some ice cream. However, they do serve food. They had a lot of variety of flavors for ice cream including sugar free. They did offer free samples and I went with the chocolate with some vanilla with it? I can't remember the name now unfortunately, but ice cream itself was so flavorful! They also offer waffle cones which you can get up to three flavors. The size of this ice cream was huge. I'm still thinking about it... the lady who helped us out was very kind. The place was clean, I've got no complaints. They do sell their own ice cream in buckets and wish I could take them home with me! read more

Steve was great. Super helpful in helping us make our choices. The service here was unmatched. Would craft here any day.

Stopped through here on our cross-country trip and this was an adorable, delicious find!! We tried the barbecue chicken panini with the cheddar broccoli soup, and it was SO delicious! To top it off, the staff is super friendly and makes you feel right at home. Mix that with a little comfort food and you have a home away from home! They have so many options for food, don't forget to try the ice cream and pie they have to offer! I even spotted a pinto bean pie that has me wondering what kind of delicious danger lies inside the crust. This place is a must stop! Would absolutely come back through here again! read more

This place is awesome. I was looking for quick drive through food that wasn't true fast food and this place fit the bill. I got the chicken Monterrey sandwich. While traveling from Buffalo to Las Vegas I stopped in the small town of Richfield to catch up on my sleep. Across the street from the hotel I was staying at was this cool little local spot known as Ideal Dairy. This place was not what I expected, but in a good way. This little shop offers fresh made sandwiches and ice cream all at a great price. I settled on ordering a Monterey jack chicken on a bagel with bacon, onion, and peppers and it was absolutely delicious. For dessert? (I had to get some dessert) I ordered some vanilla ice cream which came in a cup and it really topped the sandwich off, creamy and delicious. On top of the food and ice cream I ordered a "Juice bag" which is exactly what it sounds like, juice in a bag. This was the first time in my life I've seen small bags of juice so curiosity got the best of me and I ordered an orange one. This small bagged juice was tasty, and honestly pretty cool to drink. Overall, I had a great experience visiting Ideal Dairy. The staff was great, the place itself reminded me of old school little burger shops, and the food was pretty darn good as well. read more

My family and I stopped here on our road trip-- my parents have been several times on prior road trips and raved about it, especially the milkshakes so I was super excited to check in out. What a cute place with fun decor and delicious food! We all had breakfast sandwiches or bagels, with milkshakes, because vacation :) They had lots of gluten-free options, which we appreciated. We also stopped on the leg back home and utilized the drive through since the inside was closed at the time. Totally a must-stop! We'll be back! read more

Ideal Dairy is riding on the reputation, but is not keeping up with the original owners. When it started their ice cream could go cone to cone with BYU Creamery. Now all you get is Farr ice cream, they stopped making real ice cream. It is good, but not the same. Someone needs to tell them that a panini is not made with a bagel. I have had better salads at McDonalds and Wendy's. And can believe it, they don't have a hamburger. I hope the new owners take note and redefine the place and build on the legend, not bury it. No need to go back until the locals tell me they pulled it together. read more

This place was so cute. Had so many options to choose from. The ice cream was super yummy. My girls got a slushy float and they loved it. I tried a panini and it was super messy, but so worth it. I loved they had so many options to take home, I would've loved to take a big bucket of ice cream home if I had somewhere to keep it until then. Their service was super friendly and cute. Very helpful. The wait was super short. Cute little mom and pop place for sure. read more

First-time customer experience was good. The restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly. LOTS of menu items. I opted for the small salad bar and soup (Cream of Broccoli). Turned out being a Value Meal #7, which cost $6.99 for endless pop and salad bar. The salad bar was loaded with fresh ingredients and sides. Nothing massive but it hit the spot perfectly. The Cream of Broccoli soup, not so much. Flavor of my soup was not for me, keeping in mind I'm a fan of most Cream of Broccoli soup. More flavorless than anything for me. But like most anything in life, it's personal preference. If you eat at the restaurant, plates are cardboard'ish with plastic utensils. I'd imagine this saves overhead but for those keep the world green folk, they might not be a fan of this. I will return as I really want to try their sandwiches and ice cream! My only not so positive experience was two women that had about six kids between then that were allowed to run-a-muck around the restaurant. Each time someone enters through the main entrance, the loud doorbell rings. On a busy day, folks could find this a bit annoying. They do have a drive-thru window which kept pretty busy, too. There is free Wi-fi for those looking to surf while eating. Log-in and password were located within the restaurant. Interior had a nice vibe and tables had plenty of local advertisements on them. Family friendly restaurant that's easy to find on the main drag. read more

We had high hopes, as this place came recommended by our campground hosts. However, it was a huge disappointment. This has to be the most disorganized ice cream shop I've been to. First, we ordered 2 brownie sundaes and learned you only get to choose one flavor of ice cream for their sundaes. Second, our sundaes never came. They completely forgot about us and served everyone else who came in after us. Is it small-town favoritism? We're not sure, so we asked for our money back after waiting about 15 minutes. The person in charge-- if there was one, as it seems this place was run by teenagers-- did not even have the guts to come and address our issue. The girl who gave us our money back didn't know how to process a refund on a credit card so I had to give us back cash. Don't bother stopping here! read more

Scrumptious home made bagels made our breakfast sandwiches amazing. The cinnamon cream cheese elevated even plain bagels to almost dessert status. "Heifer" breakfast sandwich was prepared sans bagel for a keto member of our party no problem. We would return next time we are in town for sure. Definitely recommend! read more

Great value for the price! Their "paninis" are served on bagels; which I wouldn't consider a panini but it was delicious. I also got a small soft serve sundae with hot fudge and black raspberry, their soft serve rocks, they also have a large variety of hard ice cream flavors. read more

You don't have a real Richfield experience if you don't stop at the Ideal Dairy. World famous punch bags (just trust me) and delicious ice cream. I honestly don't know much about the food. So many childhood memories: punch bags, squeaky cheese (although not very squeaky these days), ice cream, shakes! This is definitely the "go to" spot in the little town of Richfield. They offer great sandwich specials: half or whole sandwich with soup or salad for about $6 or $7. Their grilled cheese on sourdough is a great comfort sandwich. They have a drive-thru too. But go in, walk around, stretch your legs. Bathrooms are clean. There is no WiFi (they should probably look into that in this day and age, but perhaps there isn't a need in this town). Looking forward to my next visit! read more

We stopped at this dairy for lunch on a Saturday. We were a little confused about if we were supposed to sit down and order or order and sit down but we figured it out and enjoyed our lunch. The pricing was reasonable. If you order ice cream the serving sizes are huge! Cons: aside from paninis and ice cream there weren't a lot of options. read more

We doubted at first to eat here, because we are not a fan of dairy. The team of smiling young girls behind the counter made such a lovely impression that we quickly felt glad we came.
