I didn't expect much, but even with a bar lower than a subterranean crust, I found this food to be lacking. I ordered the taco salad and what I received can only be described as lettuce soup. It was lacking in any structural integrity and was filled with something that I cannot identify as human consumable food. My intestines begged me to just walk away, but like the foolish man I am, I ignored my body and went ahead with eating this monstrosity. It wasn't long after that my bowels made their objection clear and I needed to find a place to pull off the road and expel the demons. Right next to our hotel, we had checked in late. After our long drive, we were hungry. The hotel rep. told us it closed it 15min, but she called the restaurant and they would stay open for 30 more minutes. The place was still packed by 9pm. The carnitas tacos were delicious, very tasty, lot of meat and guacamole mole sauce on top. The quesadilla had white queso inside, alitte different than what we were accustomed to but it was ok. The food here was good, the portions were good and the server was good. I can not say it was 5 star good but it was worth the visit. This town is full of great people. I can see myself visiting again soon and coming here for food. I will say that the guacamole was oboe average as well. I ordered a chimichanga and it could have been cooked a little longer. Shockingly good for small town Utah. I would probably give this place 4 stars in southern CA. Salsa was very mild but other than that food was flavorful. They also offered a real hot sauce option if you ask. I had the Mi Rancherito special. The steak was average quality but seasoning was really good and the overall meal was way better than I was expecting. My boyfriend got the cheese and chicken enchiladas. He though the chicken was better than the cheese. We would both stop back here again. Service was friendly and relatively quick (in and out in about 30 minutes). There seemed to be some sort of bovine seminar going on in the back room so i would assume it was more crowded than usual; but hey we learned some things about cows! I don't know what happened. We used to go every year we visited but the last 2 times we went not only did the food taste old and stale but it made me and my family sick. The food used to be very good but maybe they got lazy? Money loss? Either way we won't be back. There is a small taco restaurant the family goes to now. It's a real shame. read more

Business says it closes at 9:30. We pull up at 8:45 and as we're walking up the lady locked the door in front of us with customers still eating inside. Worst establishment I've seen. I hope not all places in delta represent delta like this. Change your closed time to 8:45 so customers don't waste their time. read more

Food was cold, rice was hard and meat was super salty. The waitress was extremely rude asked everyone around us if they needed anything never once asked us. Our drinks were empty the whole time we ate. When she served us our second bowl of chips she threw them on the table and didn't say anything to us before just walking away. The single star is for good intentions. The waitress, new, young, and not waitress material couldn't answer any of our questions. We asked her to find out information about the food and she came back and said, "the lady really didn't answer my questions so I don't know". When ordering we had to keep our finger next to each item so she could see it to write it down. After eating we we able to talk to, "the lady" who clearly answered questions and could have changed the course of our meal. My wife and I had been out rockhounding all day (found some killer agates, small topazes, and apache tears!) and we were STARVED. Putting up with snow made us even hungrier. You have to love a place where the cook is singing in the kitchen and the staff barely speaks English. You KNOW you are going to get real Mexican food and not the p'tak that most "Mexican" places serve. My wife had a chilli relano, i had some shredded steak. Perfection! Food is Four Star... Service is horrible. Even the owners won't resolve issues when they arise. They certainly don't know how to run a restaurant. I keep forgiving their stupidity cause they're the only option for sit-down Mexican food in Delta. It's sad... I really wish they could get it right! Driving from Capitol Reef National Park to Great Basin National Park is a lonely drive. You see much beautiful country but little else. We stop in Delta, UT for a night and use Yelp to help find a place to eat. The two top rated places by far are both Mexican. Yes, in the middle-of-nowhere very, very, very gringo Utah, the two top rated restaurants are Mexican. That says something about the quality of the local food in Utah. We were apprehensive because, after all, how good can a Mexican restaurant in very rural Utah be? Would the people there consider Taco Bell "good Mexican"? Fortunately, our consternation was put to rest. This place is very good. The specialty dish we had - forgot the name but it was a stuff pepper - was excellent. The tongue dish was also great (the fact that they have a tongue dish in Utah gives you an indication of authenticity). Very pleasantly surprised. read more

My husband and his crew were working out in Delta and was rooming at the Days Inn, across the street from Mi-Rancherito. They ate there a couple of times with good success. But tonight, they went in, was seated and the waitress took their order, my husband ordered a glass of ice tea. About 45 minutes later the waitress came by, my husband asked where his drink was and she stated, " We're out of ice tea" then walked away. That is ridiculous to leave a table that long especially with out a drink. She didn't notify him that they were out of ice tea or offer him anything else to drink. They all walked out. Too bad their servers are their downfall. My advice, get better servers who actually take care of your customers. read more

So extremely delicious! There was an abundance of moist tasty shredded beef in my #15 combo. My wife is extremely picky and she cleaned her #40 cheese enchilada plate, even used the chips to eat all the enchilada sauce. Service was amazing as well. Clean restrooms were also a nice surprise. We ate here because of other reviewers suggestion and mention of authentic Mexican. Seemed more like regular Americanized Mexican to me. It was average-chili relleno soaked up a bit too much oil and whole dish was covered in a bit too much cheese. Service was fast and courteous. read more

We stopped here on our way thru. The place was popular, and the menu reasonable. My lass had the enchilada, and pronounced it tasty. I had the carnitas taco plate.
