Burgers are overpriced and probably consistent with BK. Great malts and shakes though!

This weekend we happened to be starving as we passed through. Man am I glad we took a chance on this unassuming gem. Inside is on the smaller side but not at all crowded. It looks exactly like you want a local Mexican restaurant to look. It was seat yourself but then a waiter brings you the menus and complimentary chips and salsa. The chips and salsa tasted fresh and not too spicy for us. My husband ordered the Taco Salad with shredded chicken and I ordered the Enchiladas Suizas (with shredded chicken and red sauce). We were both super pleased with our food. Mine came with rice and beans on the side. The rice was standard but the beans were delicious and flavorful and creamy. My husband thought the shredded chicken was wonderful. My opinion was that it was wonderful and when mixed with their guacamole- dynamite. I got some guac to go so I could enjoy it at home. My enchiladas were tasty and plenty of food - too much for me in one sitting. We ended our meal with some churros - I loved them - crispy and fresh and sweet. They came with whipped cream that made them just perfect. Will I be back next time I am hungry in Delta - absolutely!! Bonus: they are open on Sunday.

WHERE IN UTAH IS LEE TODAY?!…read more "My soul requires that I ride!" Time to get back in the wind! I'm mostly a solo rider, sometimes riding with a small group of friends, and occasionally joining a larger group. Today, I joined the 4th Annual Gut Check Ride, hosted by the Call of Liberty MC in support of the nonprofit United We March. 25 bikes participated! The ride followed the Delta Loop -- Gunnison, Nephi, Delta, Scipio, and back to Gunnison. For me, it was 210 miles of riding! The ride was well planned, well executed, and safe. From what I could tell, everyone had a great time! A big THANK YOU to Paul Harnett and Call of Liberty MC for allowing me to participate. I'm glad I got to be part of it! And, of course... let's not forget LUNCH! ASHTON BURGER BARN & BUTCHER SHOP -- DELTA Great burgers, fries, ice cream, AND a butcher shop! My choice: Cheeseburger -- lettuce, onion, tomato, pickle and cheese. Just the right amount of toppings! Fries -- homestyle, just the way I like them! LEE'S LOCAL VERDICT: Great food. A fun place to stop for lunch. And they easily handled the sudden rush of 25+ hungry bikers! Worth the ride? ABSOLUTELY! If you're in Delta, stop by Ashton Burger Barn & Butcher Shop. You'll be glad you did! And if you stop in, tell them the "Where in Utah is Lee?!" guy sent you! NOW I NEED YOUR HELP! When you're out riding... Are you a SOLO rider... or do you prefer RIDING WITH A GROUP? Ride safe... and I'll see you somewhere in Utah! #WhereInUtahIsLee #CallOfLibertyMC #UnitedWeMarch #GutCheckRide #AshtonBurgerBarn #SupportLocalUtah #WorthTheRide #LiveToRide #RideToLive

I really expected this to be our top meal in Delta, even without a wine license. It turned out to…read morebe our worst meal, and the lack of beer or wine was just the final indignity. I don't think we had what the restaurant would consider a bad experience. They just do not have food that is even close to the same league they present it to be. They have a diner downstairs and I have no doubt we would have done better there. We had 7:30 reservations. We discovered that in Delta that is late night dining. That's not their fault. If they had prime rib, it was long gone. We got the filet because it's hard to screw that up. We started with the salad bar. There was nothing wrong with that. The meal came with the standard preparation of protein, starch, and veg at 10:00, 2:00 and 5:00 o'clock on the plate just like mom made me in the 60's. The veg was a few carrot pieces steamed. The mashed potatoes need a LOT of butter and cream. A little flavor in the veg and starch would have been nice. The steak came covered with nearly cooked onions and mushrooms also without any real flavor. Once uncovered, the steak wasn't as overcooked as expected. That was the one bright point. A little salt and pepper would have been nice. Apparently once you place a little flower, that doesn't look edible, on the plate it becomes fine dining. We ate about half the food and left. This place is only open for dinner Saturday night.

We pass through Delta often and have always wanted to try this place. We stopped in after a long…read moreroad trip and needed a good hot meal and were so happy we did. It was Saturday night and the special was the prime rib which all three of us ordered along with the salad bar (which comes with the special). The salad bar was clean and fresh with the basic varieties of veggies. Very good salad bar. After a short wait our meals came out and we all agreed this is one of the best prime ribs we have ever had. I have eaten at almost every major steakhouse across the nation and was surprised at the amazing flavor and tenderness to the meat. Carrots and mashed potatoes were excellent. Service was top notch. Drinks were always full and waitress came by often to check on us and make sure we were good. Can't give this place enough praise and I am so happy to have something to look forward to next time I pass through Delta. Lucky locals!!
