Came here for the first time to get a foot bath and foot massage. The front desk staff was very friendly and the ambience was immediately calming. This was my first experience with either a foot bath or a foot massage. Both were amazing! There are so many options for the foot bath, and I got one to help calm and relax muscles. The water was regularly warmed up and it felt amazing to sit in the soft lit, quiet and peaceful room (couches are super comfy too!). After the foot bath came the foot massage. I am normally very squeamish with foot massages as my feet are very ticklish, but she was such a professional and so good that I even did what I never thought would be possible - fall asleep! The Dragontree Spa was great! My girlfriends and I were visiting Boulder for a reunion weekend and we picked the Dragontree for massages and facials. My masseuse was great - I talked her ear off and didn't notice the 60 minute time flying! The massage tables were heated which was very nice to have on that rainy day. They provide lockers, bathrobes, nice showers with all the needed amenities, cucumber water, etc... They even have a steam room which felt so relaxing in between the massage and shower. They are also located in downtown Boulder, walking distance to many other attractions and priced well. I recommend this place for sure! read more

Dragontree Spa isn't bad, it's just underwhelming and unrefined. I suppose when you are located on Pearl, you don't need to keep your standards too high given all the tourist foot traffic. The treatments themselves were fine. The foot bath is pretty underwhelming, and the water gets cold very quickly. The massage I had was great, but the scalp massage was underwhelming as well. Not much massage, just some patting of my head with an oily wash cloth. There is also a lot of noise from the front when you are in the room where you get a foot bath/scalp massage, so bring ear plugs if you'd like peace and quiet at this time. The front desk staff sets the tone for the experience, and they set a very chaotic, unprofessional and incompetent tone. When I was making an appointment, they couldn't figure out how to do it, so it took close to 15 minutes. I guess it was also in between shifts, because another associate was more concerned with figuring out why her drawer was $1 short instead of helping the two people who were waiting behind me for several minutes. Then when I arrived the next day for my appointment, the front staff was also not very accommodating or helpful. It seems like it could be a really great spa, but they really need some refinement in their execution. read more

I have been coming here for about 4 years. Every service I have had here has been wonderful! The atmosphere is so peaceful and calming. The decor is beautiful and there are books and magazines that are centered around mindful living to read while you wait for your appointment, as well as tea and trail mix. The locker room was clean and full of amenities as well as a sauna to relax in before or after your service. I love that they give you a bathrobe and a locker during your visit. It is nice to be able to fully indulge in the spa experience when I may only have an hour or two to spend there. The staff is so warm and welcoming. Amy is an amazing massage therapist! She listened and understood my injuries and was able to release years of knotted muscles. I will definitely be booking with her again! Liz was also so great and helped me with my check out and giving me advice and tips about the products that they sell. Now on to the products. I love love love their dreambook and planner. I bought it earlier this year when I was searching for something to help me with mindfulness and self care. I have always had a problem finding work/life balance. This book has not only helped me immensely with that it also helped me narrow down my values and goals in life and has helped me actively pursue those. The Dragontree is a space that feels like going deeper in to tranquility as you walk back towards the massage rooms. Decor is pleasantly dark, feeling almost entirely lit be candles. I LOVE a spa that doesn't kick you out after your treatment but invites you to tea and a wonderful robe, and gives you a steam and luscious rain shower. And products so you can be totally ready to go back to your day. This could become my new out of the office "lunch break". And I had the most relaxing massage ever. It felt like taking a great but refreshing nap. This is a place that has really thought about the whole experience you are going to have. They want you to feel good about taking care of yourself. This was the worst spa experience I have ever had. In short, go elsewhere (st julien's or elements massage). I had a reservation for myself and my friend for two massages. Specifically I had requested female massage therapists for both of us. We show up, get changed in the tiny ladies room area (where. I had to climb up on a stool to use the locker; i am 5' 5" (read ahead about the terrible seating area), and my friend is called in by a male therapist. When I complained about this mess up of my friend not getting a female therapist I was told they switched up on the therapist person last minute. Shouldn't they have checked if it was okay with us, either earlier in the day or at check in? You would think they would at the least try to make it up by making sure the other one of us (me) would get better treatment. Oh no, my appointment was supposed to be at 3, and I got there by 2.45 and waited till 3.10 but no therapist showed up. Often in spas I love hanging out in the lounge. But here the lounge has no magazines (they have one picture book on Morocco on the coffee table). There were no tea cups to drink the tea they have. There is only so long a sane person can stare at the dark wall without having anything to read or sip on! On top of that it was loud inside when the people working there move the large cleaning vessels through the corridors. Overall, leaving aside the disaster that my friend's and my appointments were, nothing about the ambience felt spa like. Loud sounds, folks working there walking around constantly, tiny women's locker room with 2 showers (one of which was not too clean) do not scream pleasure or serenity to me. Interestingly the sign at the front said closed when it was supposed to be open (apparently the women working there forgot to flip the sign)! Clearly the folks managing this have to rethink how they run this place. I will not come back. St julien's or elements massage are the slightly more expensive and less expensive alternate options, where the treatment is up to expectation. read more

Wow! What an experience. I visited Dragontree Spa for the Elements Infusion package this past weekend and was blown away by the quality of service uniqueness of the environment. The interior decor is gorgeous, filled with rich colors and thoughtful details. The staff takes care that your every need is attended to. The foot bath (love the "menu" options!), the rosemary hot oil scalp massage, and the deep tissue massage were all absolutely divine. I also loved the rustic yet refined atmosphere in the Sangha room. I felt truly transported from start to finish. This is my new go-to spa! read more

My sister and I got a couples massage here, I had Marisol and she had Hazel. They were both amazing! I'm not at all exaggerating when I say it was the best massage I've ever had. As soon as you head back to change the whole environment is so relaxing. As for the massage, I could feel the knots being worked out of neck and back. Went here on a whim when I had a free day passing through Boulder after a camping trip--wow am I glad I did! Megan was an amazing masseuse (I got a deep tissue CBD massage), she truly worked magic on my back (and whole body, really). The CBD was a small upcharge (like 15 or 20 extra bucks) but totally worth it, as I felt straight up *glorious* after. Their spa amenities (steam room, shower, lotions/hair care) are top notch and I so enjoyed using them after my massage. Megan also recommended a few products for me after the massage and I bought them all (heated neck pillow, CBD lotion). After deciding I need some well deserved pampering, a friend recommended I try the Dragontree Spa. Why not I thought, it's only a few blocks away and Saint Julian's is full. I requested the Dragontree Massage hoping to be wowed. The place is HUGE and I absolutely loved my foot bath. My attendant was amazing and she really made my experience divine. However, being so close to the front of the business, it was unusually loud and you could hear everyone's conversation- not fun. Also, I have to say my massage was nothing to write home about. Although the massage therapist was very friendly, the massage was not relaxing and actually kind of hurt. :( The "sauna session" is really just a do-it-yourself orange spray in the sauna. I have to say overall, I would not go back. To the owners of Dragontree, please provide better training to your massage therapists and consider investing in sound proofing! read more

I would like to be able to give a better rating, as our spa services were excellent, however I was very disappointed in the customer service. A friend and I were visiting my sister for the weekend and we booked massages and a facial for the 3 of us. We were the last appointments of the day (I'll never do this again) and didn't get a chance to discuss our treatments until we got home. My sister mentioned her facial seemed a bit short, and I told her it should have been an hour. Turned out she received a 30 min facial instead, though I paid for an hour. My friend's massage was fine, except her massage therapist had a coughing fit for about 10 minutes (I could hear it in my room next door) and she was worried that she may have been sick. So I called first thing the next morning to complain and Kat, the receptionist answered. I told her about the facial and she said she would call the aesthetician to confirm it was only 30 min. I asked her why, as my sister had looked at her phone and was done at 6:35 and she had said she would still call to ensure I was correct. This does not seem to be a very smart way of handling customer service, by questioning the client. She should have said I'm sorry and tried to make it right. When I told her about the coughing, she said I'll transfer you to the mgr on duty, which then went to voicemail. I called Kat back and told her it went to voicemail and asked for the mgr to call me back. 20 minutes later, Kat called me back and offered to give my sister a free 30 min facial (to make up what we had paid for) and my friend and I foot baths. I told her that since we are from out of town we didn't need the footbaths and asked to combine so my sister could experience the 60 min facial originally paid for. After several times on hold (must have been talking to mgr), she said they couldn't do that and we agreed on me receiving credit for the 30 min not provided. RECOMMENDATION TO THE SPA - please work on your customer service. I would have appreciated a phone call from the mgr to apologize for the inconvenience, instead of an amateur response via the receptionist. It would have behooved you to have said I'm sorry and honored the original appointment of a 60 min facial and asked my sister to come back in for a free 60 min facial (technically 30 since it was already half paid). But instead, you have lost 3 clients. read more

This place is a joke. This was the worst spa (if you can call it that ) experience I've ever had when I came there for a facial today. I canceled my time as soon as I had first 5 minutes of conversation with their esthetician. I was so surprised to the clear rudeness of the esthetician with a bi....ing attitude. I have never been to a spa that treats their customers with disrecpect, every other spa is usually friendly, and professional. I don't understand the people who say its the "best" spa, its like a ver,y dark, unfriendly place. The mirrors were also really disgusting looking, unclean The only thing that was nice was the front desk lady, however that is not enough to make me come back there again. Clearly they do not want my business and I'll be sure to tell all my friends. Very dissapointed and angree, actually. this almost ruined my mood today completely. regret going there. The woman on the phone signs me up for a $165 -for 90 minutes- which I never said I wanted, some facial which I never agreed to. Plus all this other "stuff" with the facial woman- bossing me around andn telling me that "we ARE doing that facial that you're signed up for and how dare you be so late... attitude (um... I came 10 minutes early and I didn't even have to, but that's beside the point, you do not talk with customers in that tone)", are you freaking kidding me, is there like a mental illness or something?! serious? Such a waste of my friday evening. First of all, you have no right ot tell me what facial to choose, its none of your business! Second, you DO NOT talk to people liek that especially to customers! My partner and I had a couples massage here and enjoyed the experience. They are located at the end of the mall and have a surprisingly large space given this location. The environment is clean, tranquil, and smells quite yummy. The changing rooms are well equipped and while waiting, some small snacks/drinks are offered. It was my first couples massage, so I didn't really know what to expect...the gals we worked with were friendly but it was clear that it was a bit awkward for them too.
