I recently visited this place for the first time and tried their Ultimate Cookie Monster Waffle Cone. It was incredibly delicious, and I'll definitely be coming back whenever I'm in the area.
This is one of my go to ice cream places in the area because I can't get over how amazing their bubble waffle/ice cream combo is! Especially when the ice cream melts on top of the waffle. I also love the portion size they give you for the price. The only reason one star is knocked off is because the ice cream is pretty basic tasting, nothing special. However, with all the toppings and waffle I think it's worth it. The interior is cute with a llama wall display and games to play while waiting. Most times I have come it hasn't been too busy and the service is quick. I have encountered the friendliest staff members here who always have a smile on their face :)
i ordered the horchata and cookie monster ice cream with a bubble waffle. honestly, the bubble waffle carried this dish; it was so delicious in comparison to the ice cream. the portion size is HUGE even amongst 2 people and if i would go here again, i'd only get 1 scoop of ice cream. when we came in, there was only 1 person working, so we had to wait a while to even get seen. that being said, she was still very friendly and helped us out a ton. interior is a standard ice cream store.
The Dolly Llama is a wonderful little gem here in Yucaipa! If you're craving ice cream, this is the place to go. They have an awesome selection of flavors, and the option to pair them with bubble waffles makes the combinations endless. The lady working there greeted us warmly and was so kind--she offered us samples and was incredibly patient with my four-year-old son, giving us her full attention the whole time. We also loved the calm, welcoming ambiance and had fun playing the games they have available. All in all, it was a sweet experience in every sense of the word. We'll definitely be back! P.s. Save the cool llama spoons!

The Dolly llama is a creamery that offers many different ice cream choices to choose from. They also have dairy free options, they had a total of three on the day I visited. I opted for the vanilla ice cream in a cup. It was creamy and delicious! I have visited another location that was closer to home, but no longer there, so the brand is not new to me. The restroom was clean and the service was good. I happened to be passing through and I would definitely recommend.

The ice cream is great but those bubble waffle cones are not worth it! They are so messy! They have no structure like a normal cone so the ice cream (that melts instantly because the cones are hot when served) was just constantly dripping out of the bottom. By the end, I just had a puddle of ice cream on the table that I could not avoid! On the other hand, I would totally go back for a cup of ice cream with a waffle on the side. Both were good but I wouldn't put them together again.
Yelp reviews brought us here! The freshly made waffles are GREAT! The prices are pretty comparable to places like Cold Stone and Baskin Robbins, so no complaints there. The inside is super clean, which always makes a big difference in the overall experience. Customer service was great, she was very kind! The only con I noticed is that the ice cream flavors are a bit unique compared to the standard ones you might find elsewhere. I loved the cookies and cream, but the bubblegum flavor wasn't quite what we expected. Still, I appreciated the different take! Overall, I'll definitely be back to try more flavors. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area!

Ice cream with a waffle twist! Great new addition to our local Yucaipa dining options! Worth a try if you're in the area, just be aware that there's parking in the back since the front parking isn't generous with very minimal spots and 30 minute limitations. PROS. Ice cream is delicious! Haven't tried their smoothies yet, but if their ice cream is this good then I'm betting their smoothies are incredible as well. If you like crepes with ice cream, chances are you'll love what they have to offer! Plenty of selections with many varieties to choose from. They have ube ice cream! Place is kept very clean with classy ambience and its modern style makes this a fantastic spot to enjoy some time with friends while fulfilling your sweet cravings. Bathroom is clean but can start to see the wear and tear. Service was wonderful and the staff is very helpful if you have questions. Plenty of tables inside and even some games to enjoy with your cozy company. CONS. As mentioned previously, parking in front is very limited. I didn't check the back, but hoping there's a decent amount of parking spots there to compensate. They have a rear entrance as well for rear parking convenience. If waffles or crepes isn't your cup of tea (they don't have crepes but it's a similar comparison), then stick to simply ice cream scoops or their smoothies. Waffles and ice cream isn't my thing, but my wife loves the waffle/crepe-ice cream mix and enjoyed what we ordered. Personally, I'd probably be back to try their smoothies, but other than that it didn't stick out enough for me to overrule Dairy Queen's banana split blizzards nearby. Having a "unique" product, I must say their prices are a bit high for some ice cream and a waffle. Rather go to DQ for their affordability and satisfying blizzards. Overall, we're not disappointed to have given this spot a try, but I wouldn't consider it a hidden gem. Having another local option for desserts in Yucaipa is great with their wonderful ice cream selections and service, but probably not worth a long drive. Got the build your own bubble waffle and split it between 3 people... and it was VERY filling still! Overall thought this place had great prices and a large selection of ice cream flavors. The bubble waffle was soft inside and crispy on the outside. The service was very efficient and they allow free samples of the ice cream flavors. The horchata flavor was a favorite (they said it's made with real horchata). The shop itself is quite small but has enough seating for about 15 people. There are board games available to play. Looking to go back sometime to try their coffee menu. read more
This place is cute and open till 9pm. We came here after dinner for a sweet treat. Service was good. Employee was exceptionally nice! Ice cream is good but not made in house. She did say it was locally sourced though. Ice cream was pricey. Things I'd recommend: Better spoons- 0/10 Very flimsy and makes the joy of eating almost impossible to enjoy with a crusty cheap spoon. Dolly llama shake 3/10 - too thick and unable to suck it from the straw. We got a build your own bubble waffle with cookies and cream, horchata ice cream, bananas, & almonds. 4/10. Okay now, can we say "oh my" It was a girls day so 5 of us set fourth, honestly we started out to try a newer spot in town. We walked in & right out, after seeing how basic their coffee menu was. So we drove a few blocks and landed here. It did not disappoint, from matcha, to lattes the 5 of us were pleasantly pleased with our choices.including mine, something kept me leaning in for the lavender matcha... it was so good, with simple hints of lavender it was truly yummy. Other drinks that were enjoyed were; Red velvet latte Dubai latte Strawberry matcha Smores latte and we went in to full on try the Cookie Monster waffle. As much as I loved their customer service, I'm sad to say their matcha was not good. I would have liked a little more matcha flavoring. My cup consisted of mostly milk and after stirring the matcha it turned into a beige color. read more

Just got some ice cream with my fiance and this is the best ice cream shop I've had in the surrounding areas. We were immediately greeted and offered samples. Waffles were made to order so they were all warm with the ice cream. I got the sugar n spice and it was 10/10! read more

The shakes here are so good and they have some very unique ice cream flavors! I added in horchata ice cream into my coffee shake which gave a nice iced horchata latte vibe to mine. My sister had a mint chip shake and my mom had a cookies and cream shake. All of which were thoroughly enjoyed and did not last long. The service was great. There was only one person there but they handled us really well and were very informative about what you can mix in into the shakes and what else they make here. It was very clean and nice in here but we didn't get to enjoy due to a fast schedule that day but if we had, I'm sure we would've enjoyed that too. read more

New treats in town! The girl working the counter was hit with three groups (including myself at once). She was polite and I watched as she took care to make each treat she created look pretty! She also allowed the customers before me to try the different ice cream flavors! The puffle waffles are made on site! I saw a comment below that said they used waffles in a bag? But the young lady made my puffle fresh and I also watched her make another regular waffle for another customer after me. I came here mostly for a puffle! They're one of my favorite treats and I usually actually prefer them plain with some sweetened condensed milk drizzled on top but I decided to get a little fancier with it. Their puffles are a little richer than others I've had, the one I got here isn't airy, it was a fuller dough and I really enjoyed it. The ice cream soaked into the bottom part of the puffle and that was my favorite part! Because of their richer bread it didn't get soggy like other puffles I've had. I was sad to see a few bad reviews regarding service, because it's a new place so staff is obviously still getting their feet under them but I think the girl working the counter did a great job! She was kind, sure to ask what I (and the other patrons) wanted with each detail of our individual treats. I'll definitely be returning again! read more

Tried Dolly Llama tonight and was not disappointed. The owner was super friendly and helpful. The treats were delicious! The place was clean and has a cute vibe. We tried the OG sugar and spice, soooo good! My daughter got the bubble dolly's dream and said it was also delish! We will be back for sure! read more

Very excited when there are new ice cream shops to be tried. Normally we make the 40 minute drive to downtown Riverside to go to 'Afters ice cream' because it is fantastic and after doing some research on The Dolly Llama brand, our hopes were high. Five of us went and we tried a very big assortment of the different options they have from cones to waffle to their "specialties". Although there was a lot of different ways to serve the ice cream, I was disappointed at the flavors-I even asked if they were exclusive to their brand - they looked like thrifty ice cream(which I love) but from what I remember, there were definitely not as many options. The ice cream was good not great and we spent about $50. We would've all been equally satisfied with spending $15 at Rite Aid. The Customer Service was decent not GREAT . We really wanted to love this place but we will continue to make the drive to Riverside when we want something special. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. read more

Really liked the atmosphere. Ice cream was good. The waffles are amazing! Portions are huge. Even a small scoop I couldn't finish. Took our teen group there and had a great time. Music was a little loud on top of a bunch of teenagers yelling at each other but we will be returning. read more
