Once we heard The Dock was going by a different name, we decided to give it another try after bad experiences when it was Ehrhardt's. We were wrong! Our main complaint wasn't that the service was completely disorganized, which it was, but rather the rude attitude of the hostesses and staff. They ignored their guests and were completely ignorant and unprofessional when approached with usual questions, such as asking about wait time, when they should have told their guests that without any prompting. We left and went to another restaurant where we actually ran into another party that had been waiting at The Dock but had also left disappointed in The Dock's attitude as well. Great food. Staff was friendly and the view is honestly amazing. Stopped by a couple of times because it was so great.

Contrary to other reviews, we found the staff to all be very friendly. My wife's meal, chicken parm, was very good. I had steak frites, and it tasted very good. However, only 3 stars because the thicker piece of steak was rare/medium rare and I ordered medium. It was also getting cold by the time it got to the table. I could have had the waitress take it back for a bit more cooking, but elected not to. read more

I wanted to give more stars because I loved this place when it was Erhardts but whoever took over doesn't train the staff. Im a waitress I know it doesn't take a brain surgeon to wait on people. Our waitress was horrendous from the beginning, just had a bad attitude and we were a table of 8 you'd think "I'm gonna make a lot of money off this table better smile and give good service" nope she could care less. If she had given us better service it would be a different story because the food ended up being awful. I got lobster ravioli as did my sister and my dad and cousin got pasta dishes and every single one of our pasta dishes was fully undercooked. It was tough cutting into my raviolis and chewy and gross I ate maybe one full ravioli. None of us wanted boxes and none of us finishes our meals and the waitress finally asked me if everything was okay and I try to have some sympathy for waitresses because I know they don't make the food they just serve it but I told her it was undercooked and not pleasant to eat. She didn't take off any of our meals off at least mine because I said something but to pay $30 for awful food? My advice go elsewhere. Overall terrible experience, we all went out for pizza afterwords which is what we should have done in the first place. read more

The troubles began when we called the restaurant in the morning to see if we needed to make a reservation for our group of 17 people for lunch. We were told that they don't accept reservations and that we didn't need to worry we'd have no problem being seated. When we arrived they told us 45 minutes to an hour wait! AND there were several empty tables with "reserved" signs on them! Front desk woman was rude and unapologetic. We decided to split our large group into four smaller tables. One group was seated but the others were told there would be an additional 15-20 minute wait because the kitchen was backed up and they had placed a hold on any more tables being seated. Seriously? Any decent restaurant would know to seat the folks and take their drink orders rather than have them stewing in the waiting area...The food was not worth the wait. Mac and cheese was tasteless mushy and all around inedible, salad greens were wilted, black bean burger tasteless. The hamburger was passable. Homemade iced tea tasted like colored water. The only positive was our waitress, Amber, who was pleasant, competent and sympathetic to our delay. Strangely, despite the backup in the kitchen, our food came quickly. Needless to say between the nasty reception and poor food quality we won't be back. read more

Prior to writing this I read the last 5 or 6 reviews and majority of them were sub-par and I am in complete agreement. This is a place I visit with my family annually when we stay at Silver Birches and last year when they first opened as The Dock the food was better than times in the past. However, this year during our visit to The Dock we walked in at 7:00 pm with 8 people and was told that it would be a hour and half wait. I would have been fine with that if they had a full house but there was many open tables both outside and plenty inside. On top of the numerous open tables they had four employees standing around at the front desk, how many people does it take to seat patrons. They really should invest in less counter staff and focus on the kitchen and wait staff as they clearly do not have enough. They wouldn't even allow us to order take out when we are staying at the their property. This is very disappointing from a family that runs 3 different restaurants and cannot figure out how to keep people from walking out. Between my family of 8 and another couple they lost 10 patrons in less than 5 minutes. To say the least this is very disappointing. Focus more on service and kitchen staff at all of your restaurants. We have been to all of them. read more

The manager "Craig" was very rude to my friends and I. They were confrontational and told us they were unwilling to accommodate us. I have worked in the service industry and never received such horrible service. I would NEVER recommend this place!!!! read more

I don't know what was worse the food or the service? When we got there we were sitting at the table for 10+ minutes till we finally went up to the bar and asked for service. The waitress came over with the biggest attitude. All night this woman was walking around the dinning room/bar area with a pissed off look on her face! When ever we asked for a drink or food she acted like it was too much for her, like we were asking her to juggle flaming torches while taming 2 hungry lions in the middle of the dinning room! The drinks were pathetic, they were either too diluted or way to potent. I got a simple rum and coke, I felt like I was drinking motor oil. And the food was completely uninspiring. The calamari was chewy and dry while the crab cakes were bland and tasteless. If you're looking for a good dinner and drinks I recommend looking elsewhere. read more

I came here twice during my weeklong trip to lake wallenpaupack. The first time was just for drinks and we were seated outside, the drinks didn't taste very strong but the view of the sunset was so beautiful we decided to come back for dinner with the rest of the family. I made reservations for the next night for 11 people. After my family drives a half hour to get to the restaurant the staff acted completely confused and said we had never made a reservation! When they asked who I spoke to on the phone and I told them they said it was this specific person's night off so there was nothing they could do to help us since there was no proof of the conversation. They didn't offer to do anything for us as far as accommodating my entire family for dinner. We would have waited or been willing to sit at separate tables but the staff was very unhelpful so we had to eat elsewhere. Very disappointing. This restaurant seems to be run by college kids who have little to no idea what they're doing. read more

I had dinner at The Dock this past weekend for the first time since the new owners took over. They did a minor facelift inside (nothing special) and expanded the outside deck which was very nice. While our food was very good, I was disappointed in the menu because it had a lot fewer choices than Ehrhardt's used to. They also eliminated my favorite dis-the meatloaf stuffed with cheese and honey baked ham. The biggest disappointment was when I broke a piece of my dinner roll off and found a long hair baked in to the roll-gross!!! What if I had taken a bite instead of breaking it with my hands... I showed the waitress, and she did apologize saying that is wasn't the fault of the restaurant, but the bakery. They both have the same owner! I was expecting the manager or hostess to come over and say something and maybe offer me a free dessert or something. Nothing, no dessert, nothing taken off the bill, no visit from anyone. Crappy service after something so gross. read more
