The food came out quickly, the burger was prepared medium rare perfectly, the toppings and sauce finished off the great taste and the Truffle Fries were hot and tasty. All in all we were very happy with our experience and plan on trying the Wednesday Latin Inspired Night in the near future. I would highly recommend you give Rare and Rye a try and decide for yourself. Just remember the Wagyu Burger Special is only available on Monday evenings. Yes, the menu is on the pricey side, but don't you deserve to treat yourself once in a while!

Our filet mignon came with oven-roasted garlic. The garlic was delicious and cooked perfectly. The filet was also very delicious, very flavorful. We asked for rare and we got medium rare. Still pretty juicy but we like rare better. Steak was 9/10. If cooked rare, it definitely would be a 10/10. :) Peyton suggested the Chocolate Hazelnut Temptation for dessert as we were unsure. It was absolutely delicious. Creamy and crunchy with chocolate and hazelnut with the perfect amount of sweetness. Ordered an espresso with it and it's also good. While I can sympathize that perhaps they put out the sign from a previous event not realizing the price had raised until they were slammed with the crowds, this really should have been fixed with more priority. Our food was ready very fast, within a couple of minutes -- great system in place. The pickle fries were some of the best I've had. The batter was well seasoned with a blend of spices in the batter. The fries themselves were very crisp and crunchy, fried in very hot oil so they crisped up instantly and were not greasy at all. The pickles weren't mushy and had a nice tang. The dish was drizzled in some kind of spicy crema. These were amazing and I would 100% get them again.

We were 4 people and I swear there had to be at least 40 tables empty. My friend who was with us owns a restaurant and was shocked they didn't seat us. The did tell us we could order our food at the bar and carry it outside and eat on a couch but that was walking up stairs carrying our food and eating steak on our laps? What?!?! Look I get people make reservations but people also cancel them or don't show. How do you turn people away when your restaurant is empty?? We are in our late 60's I'm not carrying My food up a flight of stairs and holding my plate on my lap. This reservation thing also happened a few months back at their sister restaurant Settlers inn. We walked in the restaurant it was completely empty and they wouldn't take us because we didn't have a reservation. Wow just wow! And don't even say you didn't have a reservation because I waited 45minutes when I did have one.

The server was friendly and we placed our order for appetizers and mains. They brought us bread and waters and this is where it all stalled. No food was coming out of the kitchen to anybody in our dining room section. I would say this went on for over 40 minutes. We enjoyed each other's company and we're patient. Finally the appetizers arrived. Nothing to write hme about. We had stuffed clams that were average at best. They were super dry and lacking of flavor. We had a bone marrow dish that was burnt and oily with a thrown about presentation for the dish. For our mains we each ordered 16 Oz aged ribeyes . They were cooked perfectly. We ordered Brussel sprouts which were also cooked perfectly, and rice pilaf which did not make it to the table as they served us some kind of potatoe augratin dish instead. We were at this point getting tired and we boxed up most of our meal. I had booked this experience as a birthday celebration. In addition, had a complete detailed conversation as to why we were there with our server. During the very long time in this restaurant I had heard many happy birthday songs sung by the staff to the customers. I assumed that as this was booked as a birthday celebration and we had this conversation in detail with our waitress that when deserts came out the entire happy birthday thing would follow... but it did not... it landed very dissappointingly for me. No special ending after being there for two and a half hours. We spent just over 300$ for the experience and it felt dissapointing. With all of the other restaurants in the area to choose from and the less than moving experience we had here. I would say try somewhere else first.
