It was a vibe!!! I'm not usually a bar goer but we found ourselves wanting to go out for a bit and I've always heard the best things about the ditty so I recommended we should try it out. The mocktail options were good, if only there was maybe 1 or 2 more options. But for those who do drink, the options were plentiful. The menu was the perfect size for food options and could make anyone happy. The bartender was so nice and attentive. Loved our experience here.

I love this place! I've been here a handful of times pretty late. The kitchen is open late! I had a burger before and I enjoyed it. I had the fried chicken sandwich another time. It wasn't my favorite it was too salty and hard. Not a light crisp. Can you tell we love the espresso martinis. One of the few bartenders that don't make a face when you order an espresso martini. Their signature one is so good! Not too sweet and perfect. The bartenders have all been really nice and attentive. They got that Trader Joe's training.

They say that every neighborhood should have a bar/pub to unwind. The Ditty is that bar... As soon as you walk in there is that old school bar vibe. My friend and I stopped by for a cocktail and a beer. The Ditty has some great drinks created by some awesome mixologist. I so enjoyed the music too! The DJ was rockin' some old school disco - I couldn't help but start grooving in my booth !!! We tried the Old Bay Fries and they were cooked to perfection. We devoured the whole basket. Push the door to leave, push it real good! Long Live The Ditty - You need a sign "I am Ditmars Boulevard" !!! (Entourage)

The biggest thing about The Ditty is, this is one of 2 places in Astoria whose kitchen stays open until 4am. (Every day. No delivery however) So if you find yourself in the situation where you missed kitchen last call from all other Astoria restaurants, this is the place for you. And their food is actually pretty good. Red Neck Korean is one of my favorites and I definitely recommend it. It does have kumchee in it instead of the regular lettuce or cabbage but it's not spicy at all so if that's your concern, you have nothing to worry about. You should get that with fries, make sure to use the white sauce though since you might find those too salty without it Service is good. On weekend nights, this place pretty much turns into a nightclub (food still available) with DJ and all. So you'd get pretty much what you need no matter when you go, depending on day and time. Jazz night every Wednesday.

Great spot to hang with friends or a small crew. Lots of board games available or you can bring your own. Great music to vibe to. Pretty decent drink list. Waiters are very attentive. Beautiful interior with the string lights. Also has a back patio for events or just to hang around.

Came here with some friends on a Saturday night and absolutely loved the drinks and the vibe! Sat at the bar and loved the board game options - they have all the classics and some other newer games as well, which were a blast. The drinks were good - even the "mocktails" my friend who's doing dry January had. The beer menu is a bit small, so if beer is your thing, this might not be the place for you. The music was the perfect playlist of 80s/90s/00s hits that you couldn't help but sing along to. The food was serviceable - we had the Buffalo cauliflower and old bay fries - nothing to write home about but got the job done. The bartenders were friendly and helpful with recommendations. A new go-to bar in Astoria

I was looking for a practically last minute venue for my best friend's bridal shower and came across The Ditty. From the initial email to the end of the party, they were so sweet and accommodating. Katie, the woman I emailed back and forth with, was great the day of the event and made sure we all had everything we wanted and that the event ran smoothly. The drinks and food were so yummy. Such a fan of the yogurt, Smashburger sliders and shrimp and polenta. While I loved the sangria, I wasn't a fan of the rosé but others liked it. Space wise, it was very large and held our party of almost 30 people comfortably. We had space for a dessert table, a diy'd photobooth corner, a bouquet bar, and a gifts table. The space could have held a little more guests I think. The space was very bright and the high ceilings were impressive. I was told by multiple people that it was "the best shower" they've EVER been to. I'm so glad I came across The Ditty and will recommend it to everyone I know :)

This is such a great local bar! It has everything. During week nights, the bar has a casual atmosphere where you can bring a date or grab a drink with friends. It's dimly lit and the string lights hanging up above offer an intimate and cozy glow. During certain time of year the host events, such as a weekly movie nights throughout the winter. On weekends, typically after 10 you'll find a dj and a packed bar area. If loud bars with lots of people is your late night going out jam, the ditty is a great one to add to your list. If you're like me and that's not your scene, opt for a week night or before 10/11 on a weekend. My one area of improvement for the ditty is their cocktail list. They don't offer a huge variety and it feels like the kind of bar that should. If they added 3-5 more craft cocktails to their menu I think it would be a huge improvement.

What kind of music do they play on the weekends?

I would say a mix of popular music. There is no one specific genre.

The second time, we had to deal with stupid bouncers or security guards before being let into their bar/pub. That's a huge turnoff for me, and it's only worth it for strip clubs and concerts. Sweet Afton is a hip Irish-style pub known for its craft cocktails, extensive beer selection, and upscale pub fare. It has a cozy interior with exposed brick and a sought-after outdoor garden area that is enclosed in the winter.  A few of their menu items include "Astoria's best burger" (using Pat LaFrieda beef), the Dirty Pickle Martini (featuring McClure's pickle juice), and beer-battered fried pickles. I learned that they have a sister pub called the Bonnie in Ditmars, which I have been to and had a great time. Last Saturday I came back for a third time. I was surprised at how things had changed; much more laid-back, with good customer service, good vibes, and one of the most delicious bar burgers I have ever eaten, with a side salad, in any pub or establishment in Queens. Furthermore, Sweet Afron had some nice alternatives to bear and larger, and I selected a cider instead. First, I was offered a sip, and then, upon my approval, a full glass of cider. In conclusion, I do plan to return!
