Avocado Brownie with scoop Of vanilla cream.

We enjoyed our visit at The Dish. The farm to table concept is executed perfectly. We started with fresh made pork rinds. They came out literally still cracklin. We had the pleasure of tasting the Steak and Eggs. My companion had the Eggs Benedict. We finished with the Avocado Brownie and a scoop of ice cream. Every thing was delicious. I would make an effort to eat here if ever in the area again.

Service was great! Comfortable captain chairs! The burger was delicious! The Dish claims to be a local restaurant with the people favorites! They won a few local awards in past years and have a very tasty Hey Jack Burger. I was very disappointed they ran out of sweet potatoes fries and the family's recipe of Reese's peanut butter pie. Very sad. Overall, we did leave excited about the local found restaurant and we will be back!!!

On a roadtrip to VA from OH, you don't expect to find a fabulous cafe with clean eats and tons of vegetarian options, but that's exactly what we stumbled into in WV recently! We actually loved the Dish Cafe so much that we returned to eat there again on our way back up to Ohio. The food was tasty, fresh and wholesome - no potential bathroom issues to derail our roadtrip. The first visit, I had the falafel and bestie had the veggie burger. Both were great but I would have loved more veggies and more sauce on the falafel. We both had the sweet potato fries which were SUPERB - like best ever. On our return trip, we both had the veggie burger and sweet potato fries, plus another companion had a delicious salad. Then, we tried the sticky toffee bread pudding which was out of this world good. Bottom line, this place is open 7 days a week and is an absolute treasure. I'd love to come back again someday if we're ever traveling through WV again!

I was excited to stop here on my way through town. Atmosphere is cute, menu had a nice variety. We were seated quickly & drinks came right out but I think they were short staffed so service was good when she was able to come over. Food was good and I wasn't sorry we chose this spot but it was definitely on the expensive side and service and timing could have been so much better. We were done eating & waited 10 minutes (yes I looked) before I got up to find our waitress to pay.

Food was very low quality. Service was good. Pretzels were warmed up from Sam's club. Overpriced as well. Feel bad to leave this review.

When you think of good Mexican food, usually Beaver, WV does not come to mind. However, I was…read morepleasantly surprised at the quality and taste of the food! I grew up in Tucson, AZ and I have travelled to Mexico many times. When it comes to authentic Mexican food, most (but not all) restaurants that are not close to our Southern border cater to American tastes. Pro Tip #1: If you want authentic Mexican tacos, they should be using soft shell corn tortillas and be topped with cilantro and onions with lime wedges on the side to squeeze on top. Look for the terms "street tacos" or "authentic tacos" and make sure they are topped with cilantro and onions. Pro Tip #2: If you like hot salsa, most Mexican restaurants will have it, but you have to ask if they have any hot salsa in the back. I ordered the Tacos Al Pastor (which is pork with spices and pineapple). They come on soft shell corn tortillas and are topped with cilantro and onions and have lime wedges on the side. Yay! I also ordered a lime margarita on the rocks with salt. The tacos were very good! I would order them again! My waiter was friendly and called me "corazón," which was sweet. Unfortunately, I accidentally found myself in Beaver, WV after having to avoid the last toll on the WV Turnpike, so I likely won't be able to come back to this restaurant. However, if I ever find myself back in this small town again, I will absolutely come back to El Mariachi!

The service was exceptional; I was able to speak comfortably in Spanish with the friendly waiter, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I was pleasantly surprised to discover such a vibrant and inviting place, so far from my home. My quesadilla was vegetarian, stuffed with a generous mix of fresh, crunchy vegetables like bell peppers, mushrooms, and onions, and it was absolutely delicious. Finding options with truly fresh veggies is usually challenging, so this was a delightful discovery. I would love to visit again if I ever return to the area.

If you can, I'd recommend checking in and joining the waitlist beforehand so you can get seated as quickly as possible. Like most Texas Roadhouse locations, the atmosphere was buzzing and lively with all the college football games playing, the staff were super nice and attentive, and the food was excellent. My usual order is the rare Prime Rib with a Caesar Salad and Steak Fries -- with a side of creamy horseradish, of course! The salads at TR are always solid, the steak fries were especially crispy that day, and the prime rib was perfect: super tender, perfectly cooked, and not overly fatty. My sister also tried their Full Slab Ribs for the first time, which are supposedly award-winning, but I personally wouldn't give them that much credit. While the ribs were tender and well-cooked, they lacked seasoning. The BBQ sauce was there, but it didn't add much flavor. Maybe it was just an off day, but I'd call them mediocre at best. All in all, this Texas Roadhouse lives up to its reputation for great service and solid steaks -- but maybe skip the ribs and stick with the classics.

The menu is replete with traditional offerings that are universally well received (i.e., steaks, spaghetti, burgers, pasta, and sandwiches). There is also a salad bar, which is fun in a kitschy sort of way. The prices are surprising low. We started with jalapeño cheese fries. Fries, cheese, bacon, jalapeños, and solid ranch dressing- I mean what else does a fellow need? I had the highly stacked club sandwich. My tablemates had steaks- the sirloin and the ribeye. Both were cooked perfectly. My friends paired their steaks with the twice baked potatoes. My extra indulgent wife added the mac and cheese. The three of us shared the bread pudding. Everything we had was enjoyable. When it comes to comfort food, this place really hits the mark. The server was attentive, friendly , and well versed regarding the menu. From the looks of the parking lot and the people waiting inside the entrance, I expected a wait of about an hour. No, they put us on a waiting list and had us seated within under 10 minutes. I am very pleasantly surprised with how great the service is here, considering how standards of customer service in the food industry have all but evaporated since the pandemic. You just can't find the the type of service that they offered us at this Outback Steakhouse anymore in a post-pandemic world - so treasure it where you can find it. They took too long getting our side order of chicken wings out. So they gave us the wings anyway, removed the wings from our bill, then the manager came over and personally apologized (after our server had already done the same thing), and gave us a voucher to compensate us for our troubles even further. Mind you, this is on a night when they are absolutely swamped with customers, and such a mistake could reasonably be overlooked anyway. I turned to my 10-year-old daughter and I told her, "THAT is how you make a mistake all right." Mistakes happen, but too few places these days are willing to make it right. If only all those other places would just learn from the staff at this Outback Steakhouse. Outstanding.

Not wanting to venture too far from the hotel we opted for this place to dine. This place was busy at the dinner hour, but not too busy for us to grab a seat. However, I think they could have sat us anywhere else than a table meant for six. It felt weird to have to scoot in and have that much space to yourself. I could have laid down to take a nap if I wanted to. Service was fantastic here. Our server was on top of her game, knew just about everything when it came to the menu. Never missed an opportunity to check in on us. For my food I went with the Ribeye and Grilled Shrimp. It comes with your choice of two sides. I opted for the Dressed Baked Potato and they included my Baked Potato Soup as my other side. My colleague kept assuring me that the food was going to be good. I had my reservations on that. First, the soup. I was expecting a heartly soup, but all I got in taste was salt. It was highly salty, the broth was a bit watery and did not really remind me of a baked potato. As for the main course, the theme of saltiness carried over. Everything was overly salty. The baked potato was caked in salt, but it did taste like a baked potato. The steak was cooked to my liking and the shrimp were alright. However, I found it funny that they completely crushed the bread and had it as about as flat as a piece of paper under the shrimp. This was a lot of food. I took half of it to go. However, with the amount of salt on it, I had no interest to partake in it any further. The highlight of my meal, the sangria. I would have had more of those knowing the salinity of my meal beforehand.

They have peanuts to eat while you wait for your food, and I assume that you are welcome to leave the shells on the floor due to the scraps and shards of peanuts past still littered on the floor. Despite this, the floor was extremely clean, which is why I am (to this day) unsure if they really encouraged people to discard their shells on the floor. Regardless, the service was decent. The atmosphere is fairly rustic and simplistic, with concrete floors and dim lighting. Neon signs and Jimmy Buffet posters were placed here and there along the wall. Just your typical roadhouse. The yeast rolls were delicious, and they came out warm. We ordered our food quickly. While we were waiting on our food, the waitress came back to tell one member of our 6 person party that their salmon would have to be served a different way than the way she ordered it, but it appeared to be a very minor change (maybe the seasoning? it was unclear). The food came out after about 10 minutes and it was good, but not spectacular. It would have been better if it were warmer; it seemed like some of the faster fare (burgers and steaks) were cooked before some of the baked items (mac and cheese) so the former was pretty much lukewarm. I ordered the 3 Original Roadies, which is just 3 slider cheeseburgers. All of them were dry and the cheese was much smaller than the already small patty, but the pickle gave it a bit more moisture and I could never get tired of those yeast rolls. Other items that were ordered and their reviews: salmon was good, sweet potato had to be re-ordered because the butter and sugar did not come on the side; the chopped steak was ordered medium rare and came out a bit on the rare side (make sure you err on the side of caution there!) and mac and cheese was hot but very greasy. Overall, this place was decent but not spectacular in both food, service, and atmosphere.

I ordered breadsticks, not realizing that they provide bread for the table (I made the assumption they didn't based on the menu having bread and breadsticks listed). The breadsticks were a very odd texture - seemed doughy but they were not undercooked, lots of butter & garlic. I had the stuffed shells for my entree. My salad consisted of lettuce and cut up tomatoes (which I hate), nothing more. Therefore I had lettuce with my French dressing. The entree came out quickly and looked great. However, the ricotta on the inside of the stuffed shells was super creamy and not very tasty. The sauce was ok, not sweet enough for my liking, but not bad either. The shells themselves were al dente, but seemed chewy. My husband had the shrimp cocktail, which he enjoyed. He ordered the chicken parm with spaghetti as his side. The chicken parm looked great, but seemed to be a frozen chicken patty that was deep fried and drenched in sauce/mozzarella. The spaghetti was pretty good. Overall, meh.
