Texas Roadhouse is one of those places where you pretty much know what you're going to get, and they delivered exactly that. We got a ton of ribs and some beef tips, and everything was very good. I'm actually from Texas, so it makes sense that I'm a huge fan of Texas Roadhouse. This location is definitely one of the more popular spots in town, especially since it was Homecoming night at a local high school when we went. If you can, I'd recommend checking in and joining the waitlist beforehand so you can get seated as quickly as possible. Like most Texas Roadhouse locations, the atmosphere was buzzing and lively with all the college football games playing, the staff were super nice and attentive, and the food was excellent. My usual order is the rare Prime Rib with a Caesar Salad and Steak Fries -- with a side of creamy horseradish, of course! The salads at TR are always solid, the steak fries were especially crispy that day, and the prime rib was perfect: super tender, perfectly cooked, and not overly fatty. My sister also tried their Full Slab Ribs for the first time, which are supposedly award-winning, but I personally wouldn't give them that much credit. While the ribs were tender and well-cooked, they lacked seasoning. The BBQ sauce was there, but it didn't add much flavor. Maybe it was just an off day, but I'd call them mediocre at best. All in all, this Texas Roadhouse lives up to its reputation for great service and solid steaks -- but maybe skip the ribs and stick with the classics. read more

I think it's pretty standard now at Texas Roadhouse that the service and food is just going to be meh. I actually remember a time in Tuscon really enjoying this chain but now that I've tried it in four other states, it feels like the Tuscon location may have been the exception. This spot was average. The side salad was average. The ribeye was tasty but super thin and more on the well side than medium. And those rolls that I remember being addictive? Not so much. Just average. We sat for well over an hour for our food. (They weren't busy). When we asked the waitress about it, she said that our food had "just come up in the window and I'm just waiting for someone to put it in a tray, so it's hot". No one in our party said anything besides "okay". She then sent her manager over. The female manager asked if there was a problem. One in our party stayed "we've just been waiting over an hour for our food". The manager stated "An hour? You're lucky it's only been an hour baby". She had the audacity to speak to the matriarch of our family in that manner. Our food arrived shortly thereafter. It, indeed, was not hot. The manager came back and told us that she had taken the coat of the baked potatoes off of our bill, even though we hadn't asked. Terribly rude experience for our family. We won't be back. I will start off by saying my review is a 3.5, but rounding up. Plenty good enough about my experience to do so. Let's get the good stuff out of the way first. The waiter was solid! He had a trainer badge on. He was energetic, knowledgeable and efficient. Bread was put on the table by the hostess. It's the best part of Texas Roadhouse right? Food delivery was appropriate at approximately 20 minutes. My 14 oz ribeye was super, no A1 sauce required and cooked as ordered. Cesar salad was fresh & sweet potato yum! Challenges were cleanliness under the tables and walk ways. The bus boys did a marvelous job on top and as we saw never touched debris on the floor. We saw this a few time on nearby tables. The waiter did not offer refills, but happily got them when asked. The waiter never cleared dishes pushed to the edge. That's a pet peeve of mine. First of all, we're a loud family and a large one. So, we're already a handful. We say completely out of order and in a way that unintentionally made separating the tickets hard. We had to send two meals back, and everyone was such a good sport about it. Aaron, our waiter, is an absolute SUPERSTAR. He was great. He handled everything like a champ and was super attentive. Literally, pay raise behavior right there. He joked with us and laughed. We gave birthday cake to the back of the house staff. My server and the food were great. Unfortunately, I was initially served burnt rolls and my togo box and cup were thrown away. I got the thick cut 8oz. New York strip. Taste was good altho a whole side of it was fat. Still, it was tasty. It was close to raw for a few bites (not that much) but I ordered medium rare and since it's a thick cut that's totally on me. I would get at least medium if you get a thick cut. Mashed potatoes were pretty good altho they seemed on the cooler side considering potatoes usually maintain heat pretty well. The house salad with French dressing and the second set of rolls were good. The restaurant had a short wait and this was around 2:00 on a Friday. Food was delivered quickly, and the country music they play was set low and wasn't a nuisance. My server, Hailey, was great and was nice enough to get me a to-go cup for my drink. I get there early and don't have a wait. I've stopped at the Beckley location a few times and all times have been great experiences. I love this chain's food. It's dependable across the board. The onions and steaks are spot on. Servers are fantastic. I try to be smart when I plan on going to restaurants because I've heard about long waits from others. We were in town for a college visit, driving around seeing what the city had to offer. This location is near lots of shopping and restaurants and is minutes from major highways. This is a very nice Texas Roadhouse with amazing customer service. Our waiter was amazing. The service was quick and fast and always with a smile. We took my Mother-In-Law to her favorite eatery, Texas Roadhouse, for her birthday. Our server confidently told us, "Hi, my name is Kat and I'm going to make this an awesome experience" and she proceeded to do exactly that. She brought out our teas, along with an extra giant glass of ice, since the tea was fresh brewed. She offered whipped butter AND the cinnamon butter with those fantastic rolls and told us she'd bring as many as we wanted. My MIL is a little hard of hearing and was apologetic but Kat was so patient, repeated what she was saying and even took the blame by saying she knows she talks too fast. She got all of our requests correct and let me have the white gravy as my "dipping sauce" for the 4 Chicken Critter/Rib combo. The critters were fat, juicy and crunchy and I ate 2 before taking the pic. After the rolls, salad in a freezing cold bowl (perfectly fresh) and critters, I was stuffed so I took the ribs and mashed home. Kat was so sweet and asked my MIL if she wanted the birthday song or just the complimentary hot fudge brownie with ice cream. She declined the song and said she appreciated the dessert but she was too full. Kat packed it all separately in a to go box. Kat was so accommodating that we stopped a manager and gave her high praise. As a side note, my MIL said she was eating her leftover steak tonight for dinner. We went to the Texas Roadhouse after a long day of driving. The facility and ambiance were as expected - not high-end, but comfortable. We were served by Porsche and were impressed. Porsche was attentive and helpful without being overly so. She was very considerate and proved to be very conscientious in assuring that our steaks were cooked to our liking. The dinners were well-presented and the food itself was tasty. If in the area we would definitely give Texas Roadhouse a visit and hope to have Porsche serve us again. read more

Good food, great service, and a fantastic, vibrant atmosphere. The New York strip was cooked perfectly, very little gristle/fat on the ends, though the seasoning was a bit peppery. I'll get a filet next time. Salad and blooming onion was great, was a little disappointed that they never gave us rolls, but hey, I guess that was the universe telling me to cut back on bread. Their drinks were amazing, I 100% recommend the Armadillo cocktail. They were ridiculously busy, parking lot was full and people had to park in the larger lot for the shopping businesses across the road. It was so packed you could barely enter through the door, had to squeeze and smoosh your way through to get anywhere, but we didn't mind. We only had to wait maybe ten minutes, if that, and the estimated wait time they gave us was fOur waitress Hannah was fabulous, and so many people stopped to check on us and make sure everything was perfect even though I'm sure each one had a million other things to do. *UPDATE* We went again and this time I got the sirloin, which was much better than the NYS! My fiancé got a rack of ribs, and they were nice as well, very smokey. We actually got bread this time too! Yum! Also got the Kenny's Cooler, and that was great! The only downside is we had to wait almost two hours to get a table. That was awful. I guess we got lucky the first cisit.
