Her very first words were, "Why are you here?" -- no greeting, no courtesy, just instant hostility. We were only there to take a quick photo of the outside and look at the grounds, as we were considering renting the venue for a wedding. We're from out of town and were in the area just for the weekend, but she immediately accused us of trespassing instead of simply asking what we needed. To make things worse, she blocked the driveway so we couldn't turn around properly, forcing us to back through the grass rather than letting us move forward a couple of feet to the wider part of the drive. I'm also quite sure her behavior was influenced by my alternative haircut and color, which made the experience feel even more judgmental and discriminatory. We will never come back here or recommend this place to anyone.

This campground was a perfect thanksgiving getaway with the family. As a family we rented two…read morecabins and a large camper. The large camper was so spacious, very comfortable, and all the kiddos had a blast having a sleepover with Grandma in it. Everyone had a nice spot to sleep and we even had a craft game day inside with the family and it fit all of us nicely. The two cabins we rented were so cute and so comfy, very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We spent our days chatting by the camp fire, exploring the creek side, fishing and taking walks over the bridge, it was a peaceful fun adventure with the little ones, something I hope the older ones will always remember and cherish. The hosts were so great at responding to anything we asked for. We had forgotten all our markers and crayons and they brought us a big box with scissors and everything. So grateful it was so close to my sister's house and it was so quiet too, like we had the whole place to ourselves. We would definitely love to come visit Hideaway River Farm during the summer, go tubing and attend a live music event. Thank you so much for your kindness and being so helpful.

Room-4/5 the Bali Hai room was comfortable and pretty quiet. The only thing we noticed was a musty mildew smell in the room. Maybe from the air conditioner? Property- 5/5- views are amazing. They have a heated pool, hot tub, sauna, and fire pit as well. Overall we had a lovely time and would return again. It's an easy one hour drive from KC. The owner and staff are super friendly and accommodating... I just love them all to pieces. 319 itself is a large open room fitted with a projector screen, a dance floor, huge windows, and loads of way to modify the set up. There is also an outdoor patio with a bar that can be opened. They also have two other smaller buildings facing S. Campbell, both of which would be perfect for a smaller catered dinner or small reception. (The room with a fireplace is super adorable) Speaking of the food... we were lucky enough to have had them cater the fundraiser we held for the serious and OH MY GOODNESS THE SPINACH DIP! Everything I tried was fantastic from the Onion Souffle to the Mango Salsa. But seriously, that spin dip. (drool) If you are in the market for a wedding, event, good time venue - go here.
