House made Pastrami was delicious-go with the 1 lb (buy the pound) Pastrami sandwich -at least 2 if not 3 sandwiches in one. Corned Beef was also tasty and some of the best we've had. Latkas and Dill potato salad hit the spot but the Garlic Dill fries stole the show-one of a kind and not to be missed. For dessert, we saw they had Hamantaschen and got one of each-both very good with rich fruit spread topping. Service was engaged and patient (given our questions and recommendation requests) as our order was being placed. An extensive menu with everything from Beef tongue sandwich (Jewbano) to Chicken Liver as well Hot Dogs and Smoked Salmon and Whitefish. We wanted it all! Liked the atmosphere and decor with booth and bar stool seating. A must stop when visiting Richmond!

My daughter's friend, who is Jewish, had recommended it. We were told there was a 25 minute wait, and we were told we could hang out at the store next door. Just as we were done wandering, our table was called. I had the corned beef sandwich, toasted, and a side of potato salad. My wife had the chopped chicken liver appetizer and the potato latke appetizer. The food was very good and the service was friendly and efficient. I would definitely go again. They close at 3 pm and are NOT open for dinner.

Walked in on a Saturday morning that was also a holiday. We were told that the wait time was ~40…read moreminutes but it was ~25-30 minutes. We waited in the indoor area that is connected to a cute store. The walls had graffiti. The waiting area had billiard table, playing cards, other merchandise like t-shirts and some other vintage items. The Moore Street Big Breakfast lives up to its name. It was indeed big: 3 eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns and grits. It comes with your choice of 2 pancakes, toast, biscuit, or English muffin. The veggie omelet was also very nice. Great diner food and service.

The wait staff were nice and checked in with us throughout service. They were busy, and we did have to ask again for a couple things we asked for when we ordered. Seeing as they were busy, it was understandable. The parking can be difficult to find, but it's not too bad on most days. I ordered a swiss mushroom burger with onion rings on the side, a coke and a mexican mule. I liked the burger, especially the onion rings! I would probably ask for the mushrooms to be a little bit more caramelized though. Serving size was filling and the drink was perfectly strong. They have an extensive menu, and I would love to come back to try more dishes! The cafe decor is retro, and it makes the restaurant feel nostalgic. I think it's great for a group hang if you have a large group, too. There was a big group there when I was there and a few smaller groups of people.

As my brother put it, "this place is an upscale diner". While there is the standard fare you…read moreexpect, like brunch items and burgers, there are also a lot of unexpected items to delight the palate. As an example, they currently have several seasonal lobster dishes. I chose the Organic Bison Huevos Rancheros. Everyone wanted a bite, and everyone agreed it was delicious. It was tender ground bison, topped with a soft fried egg, feta, guacamole, black beans and more. It was so good. I would go back just for that, but there were more good things on the menu to try as well. All the staff were friendly, and our server did an excellent job. It was also clean, pleasant and busy but not uncomfortably so. We'll definitely be back when we're in town again.

A party of two ate well and was satisfied with the amount and quality of our meals. The first meal was steak and eggs. Without prompting I heard how well seasoned the flatiron steak was. The other meal was calf's liver with mushrooms and onions. Two large pieces of bacon was across the dish. It was very good served with a full orders of corn, potatoes and gravy, and veggies. I switched the mixed vegetables for spinach and garlic. Good choice. The spinach was fresh and sauteed with onions. Didn't care for the gravy on potatoes. Can't tell whether the off flavor was the gravy or the potatoes. My surprise was the appetizer. I chose turkey chilli that was so good. It was full body flavor with cooked beans and chopped veggies, which didn't take away from the chilli flavor. It was very good. I could have this for my main meal. So good. The server was adequate, but nothing exceptional.

Our entrees were equally as tasty. I ordered the salmon and it was done well! My only personal preference would be to swap the green beans for the collards next time--the green beans just weren't cooked quite the way I prefer. That said, everything else was really enjoyable. Overall, a great meal at an equally great price. We were pleasantly surprised to walk out for under $65 without ordering drinks. Definitely felt like a great value, and we'd happily come back!

There is a huge empty booth right in the front across from the hostess stand, no one was sitting there, we asked if we could sit there for just a moment to cool off in the AC- we were rudely told no we had to wait outside. The next family in line included 2 elderly women and a baby all dressed gorgeous, they also were told they had to wait outside in 105 weather. After about 20 minutes of waiting, (I was just going to tell them to forget it) they said our table was ready. Well, instead of inside with AC as we requested we were seated in a gazebo porch area that they claimed had AC. By this time we were so desperate for cool, we didn't argue that we had requested INSIDE not whatever this room was. It ended up being like sitting in a tuna can. So uncomfortable, my husband and bro in law just went and sat in the car with the AC blasting. Waitress was sporadic to put it nicely. Meanwhile, back inside the booth across from the hostess stand was still empty. Food was fine. But I don't think this place will be around much longer.
