This boutique hotel is one of my favorite hotel stays. The location is about a 10-15 minute walk to the White House. It is located near all of the embassies, great restaurants, and coffee shops. It is a safe and walkable neighborhood. The staff at the desk, the doorman, and wait staff in the restaurant were so friendly and accommodating to requests. The hotel is secure with room keys being needed to access elevators. There is also a gym and coffee shop on sight. I had a king city view room. It had a great amount of space with comfortable chair and desk, refrigerator, and coffee maker. My view was over the front entrance looking out to the Hungary Embassy. The hotel smelled wonderful, my room was very clean, and the bathroom was well appointed. It had the best hotel shower I have had! The robes were very comfy. The restaurant on site was great at breakfast and dinner. The evening free happy hour cocktails in the lobby were delicious and varied nightly over the 3 nights I stayed. Valet parking was available for $60 per night. I definitely recommend this hotel! If I travel back to the area, I will definitely stay here again.

The Darcy is displaying legos of DC buildings decked out for the holidays. They had little cards and a ballot box. Located off the lobby on your way to the bar. It was a fun pit stop.

Honestly, one of my favorite hotels I've stayed at, not just saying that for the good price I got. The vibe is chill, and the rooms are pretty. The staff are also quite nice and accommodating. It also feels very safe considering you need a key card to work the elevators inside. They have a little cocktail hour between 5-5:30 where you receive a complimentary espresso drink if you head down into the lobby. The drink itself tastes great, very coffee forward, but nothing that packs too much of a punch alcohol or flavor wise. It is smooth and quite refreshing. While there isn't really much of a view, I didn't mind considering I was only staying for a few days and wanting to explore the streets more than hang around in the room. The room I stayed in was nice, it was a comfy bed with soft linens and had a lot of charging ports on the side tables. They are environmentally friendly, making sure to make the beds but not change them every day unless you place one of their notes on the sheets. Their robes were also comfy to lounge in after a shower, they are more like towel robes, and while big on me, they almost didn't fit my boyfriend. If you take them home with you they'll charge you $80 per robe though! The shower supplies they provide you with are argan oil based, and they leave you feeling smooth, which is nice. They also have a little bathroom care kit with a cotton swab and balls as well as a nail file. My bathroom didn't have a fan, but I don't know if other rooms wouldn't either. The bathroom itself felt a little cramped, fitting two people in the shower and space in general was claustrophobic, I wonder how the accessible bathrooms compare. The lighting in the bathroom wasn't the best either, I'm used to mirrors with lights built in around the perimeter in hotels, or blinding LEDs installed so this was more casual lighting. Isn't the best if you are doing makeup. There is a big tall mirror in the room as well though. They have an iron in the closet, and a cute little cocktail setting for drinks on the desk. The cocktail setting included a shaker, a bottle opener, wine and water glasses, and, of course, an ice bucket. Their tv was limited to certain apps, which was a little disappointing, but I don't mind cable. The apps included Netflix, Pandora, YouTube, and a bluetooth option for if you want your own music. They do have room service, but I found it a little pricey, and a 20% gratuity will automatically be charged as well. Cheapest thing was a croissant for $4 or $6 I think. The carpet itself is a cool design and looks new and clean, which was refreshing to notice. Parking itself is a separate charge, $60 for overnight, and $25 during the day. I parked at a One Parking lot right up the street for cheaper since I wasn't going to be using my car much while in town. Their prices were $30 for 24 hours, but of course you can't go in and out without paying each time. I meant to visit their gym before I left, but I had to leave abruptly due to unforeseen circumstances. I got there at around 3:30 pm and next day checked out at about 7 pm, which I asked if there was any way I could get a refund for the night in any shape or form, since I was supposed to stay there that night as well. They were very nice and told me they would be able to refund me for that night and I would only be charged for the one night I slept there. I was able to grab my things and leave right after, and sure enough, a day later my funds were cut from the final cost of staying there, and I got my return. Walking wise it was very walkable, there's a Johnny Rocket's right next door, cafes and restaurants for cheap 20-30 minutes away, as well as a Safeway nearby. If you like dogs, there are tons walking around as well. They also have a pet-friendly policy allowing dogs of certain weight with no upcharge, which is great if I ever need a place to stay with my dog. I'd come here again next time for sure if I ever need to be in this area!

I spent two nights at this hotel during a client event. After staying at a big box hotel in Las Vegas, the previous week, it was so wonderful to come to a boutique location that had a terrific fitness center, attentive, staff, good food, comfortable rooms, and an upscale feel. I will come back to this hotel on my next DC visit.

I'm really surprised the ratings aren't higher! This was a fantastic hotel and I am so pleased with my stay. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, the staff was so amazing, friendly, and helpful. The housekeepers, front desk, restaurant/bar, and door people were all incredible. I stayed here with coworkers for a work event and one of them recommended this hotel. I'm very happy with the suggestion. It's a cute boutique hotel and I loved how moody and eclectic it felt. The rooms were nice m-sized with king-sized beds, a desk, flat screen TV, mini fridge, glassware and wine opener, illy coffee machine, and a safe. The bathrooms are definitely small, so don't plan on getting ready side-by-side with your partner. I didn't get a chance to see the gym but a coworker said it was pretty nice and had a couple of Pelotons. The restaurant doesn't serve lunch but had a nice menu with vegan options for breakfast -- I didn't get dinner, but they have happy hour from 4-6pm and had a good mix of beverages. The bartender made me a fantastic jalapeño margarita mocktail. The location is really great and you're within a reasonable walking distance of many bars and restaurants. Other sites, like the White House and Washington monument isn't too far if you like walking. My only complaint would be hearing some of my neighbors coughing and making a bit of noise during the night. Maybe keep the AC fan going if you need it.

Had a work event and conference here and it did not disappoint! The eclectic decoration gives you a vintage vibe but in a clean, modern setting! The rooms were spacious, clean and the beds were great! For the conference, the food was delicious (charcuterie boards, homemade hummus and pita, spring rolls, feta and watermelon and empanadas). The staff is absolutely the nicest and most accommodating people! 10:10 recommend!

Had a two night stay here in early October and it went smoothly - really friendly and responsive staff, clean rooms, centrally located, and reasonably priced. There's so much to see and do in DC that I didn't check out the gym or the restaurant, but it's good to know that the hotel has them, and other amenities, available. One thing to note is that your Uber/Lyft drivers may find getting exactly to the Darcy roundabout a bit difficult since Rhode Island Ave NW is a pretty busy street that leads to a roundabout. Also, the roundabout is small and can be full of cars for guests being dropped off/picked up. My friend stayed at this hotel, too, and we'd often either just walk or scooter to various places. If, however, we took Uber/Lyft, we'd walk across the street down Corregidor St NW and that was always a less stressful pick-up point.

The Darcy was clean and the staff were very nice. They all helped and never seemed too busy to get what we needed. Usually it takes a while to get something up to your room but they were surprisingly quick. The decor was beautiful and classy. The restaurant GSK wasn't my favorite but the coffee shop was great! Walkable to everything to see, monuments, museums, grocery and food!

Service at The Darcy was good, but for the price paid it was dirty. There were stains on each of the bed which made me so uncomfortable I didn't want to even lay my head down. The bathroom was extremely small for a room with two queens. I definitely would not recommend for multiple women especially if you would be getting dressed for an event, but the room was a good size. The hotel has complimentary gin tasting from 5-5:30 everyday and they also have free bikes which you can ride around the city.

Should I pay additional fee if I put my cokes into fridge?

I'm not certain if they charge for using the fridge, but if you are that concern, then just fill a bucket with ice and use that to keep your soda cool

What's the WiFi passcode in this thing?

It should be printed on your hotel room card holder that they give you when you first check in.

The room was spotless, the turndown service was a nice flex, and everything felt polished. The location is clutch--walkable to fun spots and everywhere we needed to be for work. The key-card elevators are sleek, high-tech, and super secure. The restaurant and bar had great energy, and the food hit, but $24 for a drink is unhinged. Overall, a stylish, safe, and seriously fun stay. More details from my review on Google: Rooms: The rooms were exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The turndown service was a lovely touch, and everything in the room was perfect throughout my stay. Safety: The hotel elevators felt extremely secure and high-tech. Guests must use a key card to access certain levels and floors, which added an extra layer of safety and peace of mind. It's a great security feature and made me feel very comfortable during our stay. Walkability: The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of plenty of things to do, as well as the locations I needed to access for work. The location made my stay easy and convenient. Food & drinks: The hotel restaurant and bar had a nice atmosphere, and the food was good, but everything felt extremely overpriced. Charging $24 for one drink is absurd. I enjoyed the experience overall, but the prices make it difficult to recommend. Noteworthy details: From the moment I arrived, I was treated like a regular. The staff made me feel genuinely welcome and at home-never like an outsider in an exclusive club. Their warm, down-to-earth hospitality made the experience truly special.

Too bad stored blankets were unavailable for sleepers wanting more warmth than their traveling companions. We had to make a second request for one. May I also suggest providing more than one bar of mini soap bars. It's such a minuscule cost item but would obviate having to repeatedly move the precious one bar from sink to shower. We found the valet staff particularly helpful especially when navigating awkward arrivals and parking needs of our personal guests. Sean was a prince. He supervised an otherwise complicated set of logistics with competence and gentlemanly grace. Another shout out to the manager ( sou?) of the breakfast dining. We watched him rigorously oversee staff and guests while occasionally stepping in when helpful. His leadership is likely responsible for the professionalism of said staff. This is in direct contrast to the staff of the Willard across the street where we took the first breakfast of our stay. We were dismayed to have to endure extremely loud staff socializing, boisterous laughter and downright flirting. This type of behavior would have been unacceptable at the JWMarriott. This experience alone confirms our future choice of Marriott over Willard for annual DC visits.
