The Creperie is a very cute place to have some breakfast! They have a small little corner for kids to color and draw, and even a chalk wall! This keeps them busy and in a specific area while you eat. The food was really good, I especially liked the French Toast that I got. My wife thought the crepe was ok, maybe could use more stuff in it (stuffing? lol. It was steak). Service was very friendly and food came out at a reasonable time. There is an upstairs which has some fun seating and there is a ton to look at while you eat which was entertaining. read more

We were visiting family and decided to try this place. OMG!! First, the place is so cute, with beautiful artwork and gifts/decor. Who doesn't like to shop and eat!? They definitely have crepes mastered! They are so delicious and fresh. The crepes places we have in California don't get this gourmet. The pouched pear crepe has gold luster!!! Get the lavender lemonade and Ryan's Tiramisu Tea, you won't be disappointed. Lastly, the staff/service was superb. So sweet and attentive - the person making our drinks (Ryan) was giving us great recommendations of places to visit. I'm looking forward to coming back when I'm in town!!! My mom & I stumbled upon this place by accident. Such a cute & warm spot! The food was delicious too! This place sits nestled in the back of Gallery 15. Various wooden dining tables, a long stone table for community seating, & an upstairs with more seating options. All the staff we interacted with were super nice & friendly. We were in the mood for a mid morning snack so we ordered the Autumn Baked Brie Appetizer with a side of bacon. The Brie appetizer was incredible - savory & not overly sweet. The bacon was my idea of perfect bacon. Plus, the price point on both items was perfection too! I can't remember the last time I ordered 3 slices of bacon for $3.00! This is a cute little spot amongst a row of cute little spots to eat. Glad my friends and I tried this place this morning! The service was great, they were all very friendly and helpful. I ordered The August Crepe, with no mushrooms. He had good flavor, and the sauce was great on it. It was filling enough, too get me through the afternoon hiking, but a small side would have been a nice compliment to make it a meal. My friends all ordered something different, and seemed to enjoy their meals. The food was good, albeit a bit over priced. The menu I saw online was outdated, so prices were $4-5 more an item than initially expected. It's in the back of a gallery, so we definitely walked past it before realizing that's where we needed to enter. Again, cute spot, but we're looking forward to trying another cute place on the main strip next time we're in the area. read more

We found this dandy little half shop and half breakfast restaurant during our recent trip to Madison Indiana. Obviously based on their name they specialize in Crepe's of which they have many different kinds. I wanted to try one so I went with the Lady Godiva Crepe which was a super sweet version coming with dark cherry vanilla bean marsacpone cream, dark chocolate ganache, dark cherry reduction, brown sugar pretzel crumble, and powdered sugar. It was as I said very sweet but had a lot of exquisite flavours with the combination of all that chocolate and cherry flavours really worked for me. I also got some sausage links which I would say was slightly above average. As I said in addition to the restaurant they had a full shoppe with clothing, artwork, and lots of other knick knacks. We stopped in here on a trip to Madison, Indiana. It is a French creperie that does breakfast and brunch. They are open daily until 2pm and they are located at the back of an art gallery, Gallery 115. There is a farmhouse type feel to the place. They are closed on Monday and Tuesday. When you get to the back to the restaurant you walk up to the counter to place your order and then choose a table and they bring it out to you. I ordered a brûléed honey latte that was made with local honey, espresso, milk, sugar torched top, I liked the smoothness of this latte. My friend ordered an iced tea and it was not good, it appeared either old or over-steeped. I ordered the Oh Canada crepe, it had bacon, egg, cheese, maple butter, and green onions. I found this crepe very satisfying and would definitely order it again. I do not remember which crepe my friend ordered but I remember that she liked it as well. Give this place a try for breakfast and I do not think you will be disappointed. read more

Yelp found us another good one! This establishment is perfection in every way! The first thing you will enjoy is the Art Gallery that you walk through. When you get to the back you'll meet the friendliest ladies. They have a grand coffee house menu so enjoy a gourmet coffee of your choice. Then get ready for the best breakfast/brunch! Everything is chef prepared and they take pride in what they serve. Presentation is as good as the flavor! Forget five stars, this place deserves 7! My sister and I went here for the first time last week. The restaurant is nestled in the back of a cute gallery and has a cozy, bistro feel that fit right in with their unique menu. We were greeted by Ryan who was very personable and helpful in finding just the right thing to order. I got the Porc Braise and my sister got the Autumn Toastie. They were both fabulous. You could tell that each was made with care and with fresh ingredients. Two separate chefs came out to briefly talk about our selections which made the experience even better. What a terrific change from the typical lunch. It was relaxing, enjoyable, unique, and yummy. It was a great experience not only because of the great food, but because of the wonderful staff. My wife and I frequent this establishment when we're in the mood for a crepe and coffee. We tried the O Canada crepe and the Banoffee crepe today. The O Canada crepe is to die for imo. It has crispy bacon, egg, and maple butter. My wife tried the Banoffee crepe which was nice but also very sweet. I love their savory crepes here that have a slight touch of sweetness. Just go! This place is in a league of its own. My wife and I are full time RVers and travel all over the country and there's only one other place that had this level of breakfast/brunch foods. The crepes are absolutely amazing! I have no idea what magic is used in that French Toast breakfast but it definitely had me under a spell. And the coffee makes you feel like you're in a gourmet coffee shop. Did I mention the service was also amazing and the setting of being in the back of a little art shop is truly unique? In Madison for the weekend and stopped in Saturday morning for breakfast. The crepes and the coffee were delicious, so delicious we came back again the next morning. There were enough great options that we were able to vary our choices from the previous morning and again enjoyed our breakfast. All in all, we had the Monte Christo crepe, the August, the Spicy Veg, and the GDM. We also tried the baked Brie with crustini, blueberries, and almonds. We enjoyed every bite of everything and no, I'm not exaggerating. YUM! I've been twice now to The Creperie and both times have been amazing. I've had two of the sweet crepes, the citrus and honey and one with lots of cream and both were delicious. My mom got a sandwich special with Brie and ate the whole thing, which she never does. My husband got a savory breakfast crepe and thought it was wonderful. And my toddler managed to scarf down an entire fruit salad full of yummy berries. We've always loved the space at Gallery 115, and while we will miss our friends at the cafe, The Creperie was the perfect choice to replace it. Can't wait to return! read more

BEWARE of all the positive reviews on this page. As frequenters of Madison for 35 years we choose it as the site for our family reunion. 18 of us were among the first customers just after opening, placed our orders at the counter as 5 separate families, no different than if we were 5 unrelated customer tickets. We were given 5 table top order numbers for the server to identify where to bring the food. The first orders came out quickly, reports that the crepes were good. But orders ceased to arrive to our group and the inquiries began. The server would occasionally come to our tables asked who had ordered the Xx, but none of us had ordered it. Server wandered around the dining area until someone at some table claimed the offered food. More inquiries. Found out the kitchen does not use the same order number identification that the register/table number uses. So the server doesn't know who to take the food too and allows customers to grab an order that goes by, regardless of the order in which customers arrive. Time kept passing and at at 90 minutes some of our party had still not received their food, yet the kitchen reported that they had no outstanding orders for us. In other words, after 90 minutes some of our food hadn't even been started or even existed on a kitchen ticket. We tried to cancel and ask for refunds (our daughter had a ticket of $160 for 2 adults and 4 children - The Creperie is not a cheap place to eat). Some of our food came out quickly at the end and the crepes were horrible. Rubbery, thick. We have some amazing cooks in our group and what came out as a signature menu item was pitiful. As we left I asked about the owner/chef, and was told she was in the kitchen! This is perhaps the sorriest part of this review: owner/chef on property, disaster unfolds for a large party spending hundreds of dollars for breakfast, she never makes an appearance, no offer of apology or to comp anything, just avoidance and hiding from her customers. Madison has a nice variety of high end restaurant choices and we will make different ones as we continue to frequent a beloved get away location. The Creperie is not one we will recommend. read more
