Went on a late Friday night with my family. We arrived around 10PM. Parking was abundant and the restaurant was empty. I really like the location, the space, and the decor. You placed your order at the counter and then select your seating. They'll bring food to you. All the food we ordered tasted great. Affordable and large. portion sizes. Glad that I found this gem that opens late because our family runs on a late night schedule due to busy activities.
We walked in not knowing what to expect - one look at the menu will leave you questioning - pasta, salad, ramen, croffles? We were intrigued. The service was fine, nothing too extraordinary to note. It's a fast food style sit down restaurant. The interior was decorated very well albeit the space inside isn't too large. I went with my girlfriend and we both decided to order one of their pastas. I ordered the schezwan flavor with fried tofu and she opted for the vongole with chicken katsu. Food was fine, but was it worth $15 each? Absolutely not. There is also no real choice of pasta, you're getting linguine. The tofu, while fried well and lightly seasoned with salt and tofu, just came on the side. So it was up to me to mix it in with the food so that it absorbed some of the flavor. Needless to say that altogether, we left pretty underwhelmed. Would we come back for the food? Probably not. However, we may give their desserts a shot in the future - but that will warrant its own review.
This is a cute cafe in Downtown Duluth! I came here with a friend on a weekday evening, and it wasn't too busy but still had a few people around. You order at the counter, and they will buzz a buzzer when your food is done. I got the croissant sandwich, which was pretty good. I also tried the ube latte, and it was really delicious as well. I wish I got it in a mug instead of a to-go cup. I would come here again to try some of the other drinks and desserts.
I've been looking at this spot for SO long! It's just a bit far to go on a whim. Today's Mother'sDay and this was my request. Delicious! Everything! Easy to order, friendly staff and super cute inside. Free parking deck! Go hungry and try everything! This is my new favorite place!
Nice little Vibe! I don't know what took us so long to get out to this place, this is really a great spot, We ordered the egg rice bowls and the did not disappoint. I'm look forward to my next visit so I can try all of the little desserts. The restaurant was very clean, while they do not offer table service, the counter service was absolutely friendly, the cashier made all types of suggestions based on our diet. There is a parking deck located in the back of the restaurant , if you're looking for a Korean inspired food you should definitely check them out.
This place is a must. Great decor all around with a nice settling atmosphere. I got the carbonara pasta which was perfectly al dente, solid rich flavor, with a nice topping of protein. I would get the salmon over the chicken as the glaze on it is mouth watering. Would recommend checking it out as it's worth it!
Came here the other day for the first time. You order at the counter and pay then sit wherever you want. I got the alfredo w/chicken katsu & straberry melona drink for about $23. My friend got the carbonara w/k fried chicken. Everything was good but not great. Prices for food are decent. Drinks are kinda expensive. Wouldn't go out of my way to come here.
Great location with a parking deck to the back entrance of the place. Plenty of seating area and staff were very friendly. For all the hype, what I got was NOT a hit. The k-fried chicken was not good, you can tell it was store bought. The pastas were very under seasoned and I would not recommend, but the grilled salmon was delicious by itself. I would say the affogato and the berry croffle that I got was the best thing there. If you want great coffee/espresso and dessert, I would say give this place a try. But the pasta, no, go to a better place for the price. Also the poker face drink tasted like water.
Really a fun place! My daughter is obsessed with this place, so much that she wanted her birthday dinner here to celebrate her big day. They have a really cute atmosphere and they are open late on Saturdays till 11. Basically you look at the menu and then order at the front. They give you a beeper and when your food's ready, you'll be alerted and you go to the front and pick it up. Every time I go I get the teriyaki salmon over omelette rice. It might sound strange but it's actually very good! Lots of protein and they give you a super big portion. My daughter always gets the tempura shrimp and pasta. She's had the red sauce and the fettuccine. She loves both. My boyfriend gets the carbonara pasta with grilled chicken. All of us give this restaurant a thumbs up. They have many speciality drinks and fun desserts too. Such a variety of foods from beef bulgogi fries to spicy ramen to macaroon ice cream. The prices are really fair considering how much food you get. It's definitely one of our go tos for a casual night out. If you're in the area, don't miss out!
I've gone here twice. It's a nice spot. The coffee has been good. First time trying a croffle it was good. It's basically a waffle shaped as a croissant. The ramen was good. Healthier tasting I would say than the ramen I usually eat. I believed it had bok choy and other veggies and also a hard boiled egg.
The food, drinks, and space here all just passed the vibe check. Bonus! There's plenty of seating and outlets so feel free to come and work. My food partner and I decided to of course get multiple items and share. We got the Bulgogi Fries, Chicken Katsu Sandwich, and a Coffee Espirtini (since we were told it was large). All the food? Certified buss down. The drink? Craft-fully made. Both of us were as full as a tick. We also spent a couple hours here just hanging out working on different projects. I will say, it's not the quietest place as it does get a bit noisy when full but definitely serves as a great change in scenery.
This place looked like a fun place with lotsa options, so decided to check it out. Luckily, its parking garage was nearly connected to the restaurant...so very easy access! The place itself was chic and somewhat lofty (high ceilings, that is)...with plenty of seatings. I came during off-hours, so had the pickings. Here's the thing that I didn't like right away. You had to order at the counter, then go back to the table with a buzzer, then go back up to the counter to fetch the foods (and also drop off at the end). If the counter was conveniently placed, I wouldn't have minded as much, but here, you had to walk up the stairs (mini stairs?), then walk quite a ways to your table (especially if seated far back, as was in my case) and back. All in all, it was awkward and just took a lot of work to get your food! Bit of a pain, if you ask me. The counter service was very good (friendly and helpful)...but again, I would have loved it if they at least delivered the foods? Basically not much service at all here. Now I loved their unique menu...with an array of fusion foods, desserts and fancy drinks. I ordered their Katsu Chicken with Carbonara Pasta. Also, this snazzy looking specialty drink, "Poker Face". Sadly, I didn't love the Katsu (a bit too thick, for one), and the pasta was way too creamy and thick. I just loved that they had the Katsu and pasta combo here. The only other place that I know that does this was at this place, Poetree Cafe in Suwanee, GA...and sadly, this version didn't live up to theirs. I was actually a bit more impressed with their refreshing, colorific drink! Am definitely open to trying other things on their menu, so hopefully I can bump up my ratings in the future?
A friend visited recently and raved about The Cream, i remembered seeing ig posts and had to visit myself. It's a cute little place. I had the Kchicken (with sauce on the side initially). The sauce is what makes it really so the 2nd order I got the sweet hot sauce as they are typically prepared. I also had the beef bulgogi taco and later the salted Carmel donut . My faves- the chicken .. the sauce is amazing. When i tried it without the sauce it really very much gave chicken nuggets. Good chicken nuggets though. I placed a second order after i finished the first. The beef bulgogi taco was yum. Reminded me of a cheesesteak a bit . Would definetly order again Not quite a fan of the donut. The salted caramel gelato inside however was so good. The donut seemed less like a donut but more like a sweet roll. I think my expectation was a warm donut with the filling. So i wouldn't order that again. Quaint little spot. I will return

really cool atmosphere. the seating and decor is so cool i loved just being in there. matcha latte was pretty good and the bingsu was good too but kinda felt like it was just random crap being added to it. atmosphere is rly what makes this place great read more
Free parking in the garage which is super convenient. I can only speak for the one dish I had, I know they offer dessert and cafe drinks so I'll have to come back for those & update the review! I had the marinara pasta with chicken katsu ($14.99). The marinara sauce personally for me was on the sweeter side which I didn't prefer but the chicken katsu was nicely good. I tried my friend's carbonara pasta and it was much better - would opt for their creamy pastas next time! The interior is super cute and there are plenty of seats available. You order at the counter & you get your food once your buzzer goes off. read more
I would say food is mid at best. It's cute for kids for sure. Korean style food or possibly Japanese. I ordered the Chicken Katsu Omelette Rice with a Fried Shrimp Taco on the side. The taco was not great. It was a little flour tortilla w the tail still on the shrimp. There was more raw onion and tomato than meat. Flavor was literally just that. The rice and egg was cool. The katsu ski was coming off so it got soggy fast. I may have enjoyed it better if it was salmon or fried harder or something but it was just okay. The best things here are the desserts. I got the Mango Shaved Ice. And the waffles looked good as well. So idk if I'll be back for food just maybe dessert. The ambience was clean inside and cute. The service was great, nice kids working the customer service. I know they tried their best. read more

THE CREAM in Duluth brings together Asian and Italian flavors in a unique fusion you don't want to miss! I ordered the Carbonara with chicken--creamy and flavorful with a fantastic crisp on the chicken. The beef bulgogi fries came as a huge portion, perfect for sharing with friends or family. The interior is comfortable, with a cool, inviting setup. There's also plenty of parking in the deck behind the entrance off Duluth Hwy, so no stress there! Im impressed of this place as it has a clean environment and there's a bunch of food options and drinks selections. Its self service and the staff are pleasant and attentive. Wanted to try hot ube latte,good thing he suggested the cold version as it is a hot day! It became now their secret menu drink as many customers requests it as a cold drink which works. As for the food they're tasty and came out good. Would love to go back and try other food from the menu. read more
Finally checked out The Cream near the downtown Duluth area. Free parking attached to the building was a plus! I opted for the omelet rice with sweet and spicy k-fried chicken as my dinner. Huge portion and very flavorful. I also tried the croffle with strawberries and Nutella. Beautiful presentation and had two bites before I took it home because I was so full. The space was very open and airy and it was hopping with activity. You order at the counter and go pick up your food when the buzzer you are given goes off. They also picked up my used plates at the table. I definitely want to go back and try the ramen and their drinks. read more

I've been to The Cream a couple times and I remain impressed. The food is delicious and the drinks are fantastic. I love Korean food and my wife loves brunch, so it's a perfect compromise for our tastes. It's mostly self serve, in that you order at the counter and then got grab the food when the notify you. But the staff is always incredibly helpful of you order too much food and drinks... As we tend to do. There is plenty of seating but when it's busy it may feel a bit tight. There's a free deck right behind it for easy parking. read more
The interior is lovely, with ample, comfortable seating. Seemingly chic, though I overheard someone else say that it reminded them of a cafe in college. It was also clean and tidy and had K-pop music playing. Park in the parking garage behind the building. There's a backdoor to the restaurant from there, or you can walk around to the front entrance. I ordered pasta carbonara with K-fried teriyaki chicken. Was very grateful that the cashier asked if I wanted teriyaki or spicy chicken. I also ordered a mango smoothie. They gave me a pager, and I picked up my food when it was ready. It was very tasty and stayed nice and hot for a long while, which was perfect since it was a chilly day when I went. This is a really cute asian american infusion restaurant. It is more like a deli ordering style. No wait staff. But the people working are very helpful and friendly. I will be coming here regularly! The ambiance is cute, music isn't too loud, the place stays clean even with busy. The staff are nice. I think everyone comes here expecting just a regular cafe but guys - the food here is BOMB. They have a pretty good sized menu and their portions are perfect - no leftovers around here but you'll also get full. The Vongole pasta is super garlicky and just enough clam/seafood flavor, absolutely delicious. The salmon I got the first time was a touch on the fishy side, especially in comparison to the very subtle pasta but it was cooked well. The fried shrimp taco is PHENOMENAL. I'm not one for pico 100% of the time but I make an exception for theirs. It's refreshing and balances out the fried shrimp. I get at least one with my meal every time. Their drinks are creative and yummy! I'll be trying all of them out. Would definitely recommend! I was very impressed. read more
Cute cozy cafe near Downtown Duluth (below The District apartments). Came here on a Sunday night, super packed and almost all tables were filled..maybe because it's sort of new and recently opened. I heard they're known for the pasta which I ordered the carbonara with katsu. Their katsu is super crispy and tender! My group got the vongole pasta - has clam meat and they de-shelled the meat so that made it convenient to eat - and the alfredo pasta which was really cheesy! I also ordered their Monterosa cake - super creamy. I can't wait to come back and try their croffles! read more

Came here after dinner to get a dessert and very impressed! The staff was very helpful and friendly in navigating the menu. The manager, Phillip, was so sweet and accommodating, providing many suggestions for my preference. We ordered a Iced matcha latte, pineapple ade, and had the pleasure of trying out one of their newer flavor crouffles, pistachio. The drinks were phenomenal and flavors were just right, not overwhelming and not too sweet. Unlike some other cafes, they did not fill the entire cup with ice, which I really appreciated. The crouffle was better than other places that i have tried it. The texture was perfect and what i would expect a crouffle to be like. The whip cream and ice cream adding just the right amount of sweetness was phenomenal. The interior is beautiful with modern designs and pretty lights. I love the high ceiling. It can get a little loud when there are a lot of people but expected at a cafe. The music was at a good volume for me to have conversation with my girlfriend with ease. Another shoutout to the staff members who were helping customers clear tables of empty plates when they weren't too busy behind the counter, and to the manager who was helping his staff while engaging with customers. You don't see that type of managers anywhere these days. read more

We visited The Cream with a couple of friends who wanted carbs for dinner. Husband ordered the carbonara with chicken katsu ($14.99) and I had the chicken ramen with sweet and spicy fried chicken ($12.99). Husband reported that his carbonara with chicken katsu was pretty good. He said the chicken katsu was pretty standard, nothing amazing. I'm pretty sure the chicken ramen is Jin ramen with some cilantro and a few pieces of shredded chicken. I didn't want a pasta dish and knew it was going to be some kind of instant ramen, but I was hoping for it to be at least shin ramen. Upside, the fried chicken was pretty good. You order at the front of the restaurant and receive a buzzer to pick up your food. Everything is mostly self service except someone may come around and collect your dishes. If you have a party larger than two then I suggest going earlier as it's first come first serve. All tables are for 2, so you'd have to find a space to combine tables to accommodate a larger party. There's a free parking garage with plenty of parking. read more

This places is great for when you can't choose what you want for dinner! Do you want Japanese and Korean? Fusion is here!! Clearly we got a mix of a bunch of flavors, but in conclusion, they were all good. The price is a little more than what I would expect, but it's nothing too crazy. It's basically self serve here, but the employees were somewhat helpful in choosing what to eat. It's clean and aesthetically pleasing inside, which is great for photos! Dessert menu has all the things a cafe would, so it's 2 for 1 here :D read more
The chocolate cake was to die for! Free parking as well which is always a plus, love the ambiance and plenty of space. The chicken katsu and Alfredo pasta were also great which I would give 8/10. I made sure that my pasta was vegetarian but still ended up finding a piece of bacon which was disappointing. I will be back for desserts! read more

Recently opened in the downtown Duluth area. Our group decided to try some of the pasta and the passion fruit specialty drink. Overall, I thought the chicken Katsu was great; however the pastas and drink were a bit underwhelming. I'm sure since the restaurant is new they are still working on improvements, so I am looking forward to trying them again the future. The interior was well lit and felt like a nice place to get together with friends. You order at the front and then choose where you'd like to sit. Service was friendly! read more

The restaurant is located under an apartment complex. There are plenty of parking spaces in the parking deck. You can't miss the sign for parking. We dined in on a Friday evening around 5:30 PM. There was plenty of seating. They recommend you to sit down to review the menu before ordering to not clog up the line. There wasn't anyone there anyway. I ordered the carbonara pasta with spicy K-fried chicken and a Mocha frappe. Both were delicious. The pasta was flavorful, and the k-chicken was not dry, which is a major plus. My mocha frappe was so good and I recommend it. Looking back, I wouldn't have tipped 15%, because I thought they served you. Instead they give you a buzzer and you pick up your food. This place does get busy! The seating is a little weird, so if you're planning to bring a big party, I wouldn't recommend bringing a party over 6 guests (especially on a busy evening). They do not have big party tables. You just have to be lucky enough to find tables together to combine the seating for larger parties. read more
I really like this place. Beautiful ambience and a fancy feel, with affordable food and beverage options (not saying it's cheap especially with inflation nowadays, but it's not terrible). Great place to hang out with friends, get work done (there are ample outlets), or go for a date. It really does have a classy feel. Parking is located inside the parking garage in the middle of the building, it is right next to the 101 Bagel Cafe. On a weekday it is pretty easy to find parking, but on weekends it might be difficult. I usually come here on a weekday when it is not too busy in order to get some studying/work done. I would not recommend this place to do work on weekends. I have read reviews where it is difficult to find seating during the weekends (and the parking garage is packed too). Their menu is pretty big. They have coffee, smoothies, floats, mocktails and specialty/dessert beverages, croffles, ramen, pastas, breakfast, salads, sandwiches, snacks, Hong Kong Waffles, gelato and all kinds of other desserts. One thing I saw that was interesting was the "Melona Dunk" which I have yet to try. So far I have tried an iced matcha latte, The Grinch (one of their specialty drinks which is basically an iced matcha latte with some kind of cheese foam on top), bulgogi fries, and aglio e olio pasta with shrimp. Everything I have tried was delicious. I love their iced matcha latte, I was not a matcha girl until I recently decided to try their matcha latte on a whim. The Grinch was creamy and delicious, it's a good beverage if you are feeling indulgent and want something kind of sweet. Their bulgogi fries were very tasty, great texture for fries. LOVED their pasta! It's my first time trying any form of Korean pasta so I can't say how it compared to other places, but I personally thought it was tasty. It was kind of creamy and cheesy so I wonder if they gave me the alfredo by accident, but regardless I really enjoyed it. It might look small in pictures but it was a decent, filling portion of food. Loved the taste of the shimp - it was crunchy, savory, and mildly sweet. My friend tried their chicken katsu alfredo pasta (which looked kind of like my aglio e olio pasta hence my confusion) and also really liked it. She also loved her Eclat de passion bleu drink. The workers are nice. If you ask them questions about their menu they will explain it to you. Will definitely be back! read more

Something that I really liked about The Cream is the ambiance. I love the natural lighting that comes in from the windows and the layout of the dining area. I can definitely see myself sitting here and catching up with friends or even working on stuff and enjoying a nice refreshing drink. The staff was super friendly and helpful when describing their menu items. I am not a big fan of lavender, but I had a sip of lavender London fog and it was refreshing. The tiramisu was just okay in my opinion. The croffle part seemed a little underdone and there was a little too much powder, but the cream or mousse was good. Lastly, I tried the chicken katsu omelet rice and I felt like the chicken was frozen and warmed up. The omelet and rice were okay and the salad was light and tasteful. Overall pleasant experience, presentation of the food was good, but taste was just okay. Would come back to try the different drinks though! read more
Let me tell you! Whew, from the moment we walked in to the moment we left, the customer service is top tier! So, so good and personable. We stopped in for a quick snack which was the K fried chicken with sweet and spicy sauce and the bulgogi fries. Neither item disappointed, both-hands down 10/10. The chicken was juicy and flavorful and the bulgogi fries left me speechless. Trust me, you need to try these. This establishment has a very relaxed atmosphere when you walk it, casual yet a touch of elegance. Parking is super easy and there is access to the restaurant from inside the parking garage. The items we tried was amazing ! The ambiance was very nice, coffee shop vibes, a great place to go study or even get some on line work done. The drinks all looked amazing. Service was prompt and fast. The Bulgogi fries was amazing The ramen was amazing, great taste and had lots of seafood item inside it. I saw a lot of customer get their pasta. Who doesn't love a new cafe visit? I met up with one of my friends to hang out and see what this place had to offer. I love how there is a designated parking lot right behind the cafe and there were signs that led you right to the door. When you enter it's a little confusing because the entrance from the parking garage leads to the "back" of the cafe but there was a ramp and stairs that led up to the counter where you order. While waiting for my friend to arrive I looked at their menu and they have a lot to offer. I ended up ordering the fried chicken katsu croissant and the poker face drink specialty drink and my friend got the spinach & egg croissant with a coffee. While waiting for our order, which took around 10 minutes, we sat on the patio. I appreciated the effort they put in to make even the outside seating aesthetically pleasing. After receiving our order and tasting both croissants, the chicken katsu was my favorite. The specialty drink was light and refreshing with just the right amount of fruity sweetness. My friend and I stayed for about an hour just chatting since the ambience was relaxing. I'll definitely be returning to try their other food options. read more

This is a cute place located in Duluth. A fun spot to go to if you are out running errands and need to grab a quick seat and bite to eat. They have ample free parking in the garage located behind the restaurant. When you walk in your greeted with a hearty HELLO!!! There are menus at the door and also at the register. They have a glass class of the desserts and a chalkboard menu of their specialty drinks. We order the bulgogi cheese fries and poker face. The fries were loaded with tons of meat and cheese. The yummy sauce on top was a nice addition. The poker face is a carbonated soda flavored with strawberry and kiwi syrup's garnished with a fresh strawberry. Nice flavor, not too sweet and it's aesthetically cute. I would suggest giving this place a try if you're in the area. read more

The food was great! I didn't get any pictures of the carbonara or marinara pasta but I did post a video on TikTok featuring the food we did order! The food came out pretty quick (disclaimer: it was on a Monday for brunch so it definitely wasn't rush hour) and the service was over all very polite and a good experience! This is an upscale ramen bowl, dessert and coffee shop. Korean style spicy and sweet chicken on a stick. Conveniently located in downtown Duluth, parking is under the parking garage. Easy access for local residents nearby. What I like: The wide menu options. There are so many things to choose. You can get a slice of cake with coffee or get a fancy drink. They also have flavored shaved ice. I recommend the bowl size if you are sharing among friends or family. We ordered the omelet ramen, it comes with a hot dog. Good for breakfast. What I don't like: -There is no server, they give you a pager to tell you when it's ready. It beeps and makes an awful sound. Not calming or relaxing. The beeping sound is throughout the whole restaurant, you pretty much have to exercise and get up to get your food. - I still tipped 15% but that is optional. -They have a water dispenser but the water flow is so slow. There is also a takeout box area nearby so you can pack it up yourself. -The price is pretty high but the food is bold and spicy, so be prepared. Overall it's a nice place to meet friends and grab a snack. read more
