I love walking here on the weekends. The service is fast and everyone is friendly - including the customers waiting in line. They always have fresh coffee. I wish they had unsweetened ice tea but the sweetened version is still good. Bagels are made fresh every morning and I've yet to get a burnt one. Heard nothing but good things about The Crazy Bagel, so we gave it a shot and 2 weeks in a row they got my order wrong, I mean how difficult is it to put salt, pepper and ketchup on an egg sandwich. Seriously! Now you may say no big deal but we were traveling, and there were 5 of us all with the same issue, so it's frustrating listening to kids complain and again 2 weeks in a row. Ridiculous this places website clearly says you get a free iced tea with lunch specials. I ordered and asked for the iced tea and they said oh the website isn't right anymore. I mean they just lost a customer that comes 3 times a week over not honering the stupid iced tea for false advertising. I'm telling my friends and family to stop. I never thought I would find myself leaving a review for a bagel place but here we are. Just happened to be in the area and searched yelp for a good bagel place and this came up. Went there and the place didn't really didn't stand out. Seemed like your typical Long Island bagel deli place. At this point I'm thinking this was bs. Ordered a turkey egg and cheese on a bagel, a plain bagel & everything bagel with cream cheese. I took a bite and the first thing I thought was "this is a damn good bagel." Second bite and I'm now comparing it to other places where I've had bagels so good. Just fresh out the oven, soft and flavorful. Listen I've lived in NY my whole life and I've eaten more bagels than a few, but honestly may be one of the best bagels I ever had. Very strange thing to say in a state known for its bagels but here we are. 5 star eating. Definitely worth a return. read more

I should have taken a picture. It was perfect. I had a sesame bagel with cream cheese. It tasted fresh, still soft even after being toasted, and just the right amount of cream cheese. Staff was courteous, polite, and quick. Coffee was delicious too. It was so nice coming here after being treated like dirt at Broadway Gourmet around the corner since we moved into the naybahood. Growing up in Forest Hills the choices of bagels were pretty plentiful and delicious. This local spot in Massapequa is the closest if not better than a few of those Queens bagels! I had a bunch of family and friends over this past weekend and decided to order a 4 foot hero to augment my grilling with rain in the forecast. I then called the next day to make it a 5 foot hero, with pickup on Saturday. Everything was done perfectly. I also got many complements from my guests saying the hero was great! Two weeks in a row they have gotten my sandwich wrong. Called to try and remedy situation and they said I could come in and they would remake it. Went back and asked to speak with manager. The employee at counter said he was the manager. Said he would remake sandwich. I responded that is the best you can offer for my inconvenience. I visit New York a lot and especially this area in Massapequa as my brother lives there. I have never been to crazy bagel, but want to take some bagels back home to Portland, OR with me, so stopped in here after reading good reviews. I got some salt, onion, egg, and everything bagels. The price was excellent on a dozen bagels and you even got 2 more for free. I was told and would have to agree that these are the best bagels I've had in NY!
