3-Meat Rancheros

Milliken is in between where my boyfriend and I work. We decided to give the Cracked Egg a fry and we were not disappointed. I loved absolutely everything we got from here. I truly believe you can't go wrong on this menu, everything had great flavor. We can't wait to go back and try some of the other food our waitress suggested. Which was the burger (the one with green chili) and the patty melt. Our waitress was so very nice and made sure we were happy during our meal. They make homemade green chili that is SO good, btw you can get a container of it to go!! Overall, this was such a cute small town vibe restaurant. Such a good find!!

Cute place and the cracked egg Benedict is awesome! Visiting from Maryland and loving this home town restaurant

This small eatery is in Milliken and invites folks to "scramble on in". It is just a few doors down from the Hair Trigger barbershop. I think, perhaps, people in Milliken have a sense of humor! If you are in west Greeley? This is only a fifteen minute drive. That is especially worthwhile for those who enjoy properly crisp hash browns.

Good food, and fast service. Had the biscuits and gravy with a side of two eggs, and sausage. Definitely recommend this place.

Urban Egg -Johnstown is my go to place for breakfast and brunch (and even lunch) in the area. I…read morewent a few times in short order and enjoyed it so much I kept returning. The food is very fresh and the choices are vast. Something for everyone here so young and old will enjoy their meals here. It does get busy on weekends and holidays but is steady at other times as well. Only open till two, I suggest you go earlier. Good to consider is the 3 Egg breakfast with the bacon and fruit, the pancake flight with the Cinnamon Roll pancake as well as the regular pancake flight, The Cure drink, The ABCLT with salad. Plus the omelets are good as well. The only thing we found that wasn't great on the menu were the hash browns on multiple visits so sub them out if you can. They also don't seat parties together always even when tables open up near the first party so be aware of that. Other than that a great place! You can be seated inside or out. Service is generally very good. Parking is easy right outside. There are restrooms that are clean. There is a bar in the back. So many great things to be eaten here so come hungry!

My daughter and I headed to Urban Egg STARVING. PSA if…read moreusing Maps for directions - it took us through an alley but actually the restaurant faces College Ave. We were warmly greeted by Sam who ended up being our server. We immediately had drink orders taken and recommendations offered. The menu has something for everyone- pancakes, French toast, chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy, bennys, omelets, and the there is a healthy choice menu as well as gf items; Non alcoholic as well as alcoholic cocktails, juices, and coffees available. I ordered a cappuccino to start with and it had a TON of froth on top- perfection! My daughter had a juice drink called the Cure- it was a bit heavy in the coconut water for her taste but it was delicious and came with a fresh slice of pineapple. We selected The breakfast sandwich and the blue corn huevos rancheros and we split a side cinnamon roll pancake. Let's talk perfection in a pancake-- this topped anything I've ever tasted- the fluffiest, softest, flavorful pancake. Perfect drizzles of cinnamon sugar covered with frosting. So so good. Lemon ricotta pancakes will be the choice next time. Didn't need syrup but it came warm and, heck yeah! Both our dishes came with hash browns which for our preference could have used a bit more crisp and salt( salt easily remedied). The breakfast sandwich had scrumptious, thick sourdough and generous portions of bacon, with pesto aioli and eggs of choice. Every bite was eaten, even the crusts -(adulting)! The huevos rancheros were tasty- perfect base of crunch but the main attraction was the soft and flavorful scrambled eggs and chorizo topped with Avacado crema. Taste buds satisfied as well as our hunger. Although we came in starving we had food to spare. Sam was attentive and friendly and we lingered in a comfortable setting. Ladies- check out the wishing wall in the restrooms- cute customer forward touch! Prices reasonable for all the food- you won't be sorry checking this place out.

Late post - I wrote this right after eating here on November 22, 2025, but never hit "submit."…read more This place is a true hole-in-the-wall -- literally a converted house on a residential street. GPS gets you close, but it's easy to drive right past. Parking is only two driveway spots plus street parking (there might be a small lot across the street) so plan accordingly if it's busy. Service was genuinely warm and welcoming the moment I walked in, which immediately put me in a good mood. I ordered red chilaquiles with asada, a bowl of menudo, two tacos al pastor, a Mexican Coke, and a Sprite. * Red chilaquiles (Two eggs, fried tortilla chips lathered in red chili, asada(additional cost) side of beans, side of salad; lettuce, tomatoe, avocado): They forgot the asada at first, but fixed it fast and brought the steak on the side--no attitude. The bigger issue was texture--the chips were soggy instead of the usual toasty/crunchy. The sauce started off tasty but got surprisingly bland halfway through; it just didn't have enough depth to keep every bite interesting. * Menudo: Under-seasoned and missing that rich, comforting flavor I love. The bolillo came toasted with butter, which felt totally out of place with the menudo (personal taste, but it didn't work for me). * Tacos al pastor: Hands-down the highlight. Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and everything I want in a street-style taco. Overall, not a bad experience, just inconsistent. The tacos alone are worth coming back for, and the friendly vibe is a big plus. I'd skip the chilaquiles and menudo next time, but I'll definitely return to try more of the "finger food" side of the menu. Solid neighborhood spot with real potential--hope they tighten up the classics!

This time I ordered the Butters Bennys, poached eggs on a croissant with hollandaise sauce and home fries. I remembered when they brought my plate that I didn't like the home fries last time because they just don't taste good at all. They look and taste like they were made the night before and reheated during the day. That wasn't the worst thing out of this meal, though. The hollandaise sauce was spicy! Hollandaise sauce is only supposed to have a pinch of cayenne pretty much for color. You should not taste the cayenne in hollandaise sauce! Now they did offer to change my meal, but I declined. However, I was not able to eat it. I tried to, but it was just too spicy. You would think that they would remove it from the bill since I only had a few bites, but they did not. My boyfriend did enjoy his French toast and scrambled eggs. So between the good service and my boyfriend enjoying his meal, I give them 2 stars.

I love the old building, has charm and is staffed by friendly people. I am always greeted by someone right away when I walk in, and they always patiently wait and never make me feel rushed as I peruse the fairly well stocked menu with fun names for different coffees and crepes. I love supporting our new (to us) town, and will say, this is the only shop I've seen with town specific merchandise. (Well, besides Buc-ee's) and have purchased a couple Johnstown mugs and magnets. I'm more of a sweet crepe lover, with Baby One More Time and Breakfast at Tiffany's being my favorite as well a variety of coffees, but the breakfast sandwiches are always a hit, and when my parents visit, my Dad likes trying different savory ones. They recently did a little remodel inside with cozy couches, lamps and books! I love it and am so happy our town has such a cool coffee shop!

Not only is it cheaper than Urban Egg (which we still love and go to, but just facts here) but it is also delicious. My second visit I think I had some kind of Mexican omelet and it was delicious as well. The wait staff is always top notch. On my most recent visit, we once again had excellent service. I don't remember her name by she has tattoos on her ears and is not Hispanic. She's awesome. Now for the two star review. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. I can't believe l didn't send it back. The "steak" wouldn't even qualify as meat, let alone steak. It was mushy like pablum and was made to be eaten with a spoon. It was disgusting. It had some type of flavor, but it wasn't meat. I can't believe they had the nerve to call it "steak". I tried scraping off the 'fried' part but the whole thing had no body to it whatsoever and just fell apart. To be fair, my husband had a traditional bacon and eggs meal and he said it was good. What the heck happened? I know the prices of meat have gone up but again- it was not meat. Don't restaurants usually go to a cheaper cut of real meat? I was so disappointed and grossed out at the same time. I don't know if I can ever go back.
