The vibe here is fun and the service is great! It is a Fort Collins classic and has been operating since 1933. I got the eggs Benedict and cinnamon roll and both were delicious. I especially like the potato side, they're flavorful.

I am absolutely obsessed with this place. I was back visiting foco and made sure to stop here. The food is delicious, the prices are great, the service is awesome, and the environment is family friendly! It is a bit loud so if you're sensitive to sound bring ear plugs! It's busy too! We had to wait but were able to walk around while waiting too! I love love love this place!!

We pulled up near Old Town and strolled by the Silver Grill. There was a sizable crowd waiting outside. The smell of brunch wafted down the sidewalk. "Must be pretty good." A few hours later, we were in the mood for brunch and headed toward the car. No line. Yes. We were seated immediately. Our server came by quickly to welcome us and get drink orders. She was on point for our whole meal, checking just regularly enough. The menu offers choices galore for breakfast lunch, coffees, etc. On to the grub... Country breakfast: This is a big meal. The real heroes were the hash browns--seasoned and browned just right. Sausage patties were lackluster, evoking memories of free motel breakfasts--shoulda got bacon. The biscuit held up its end of the deal, The gravy had perfect thick texture, but little flavor. I'd get something else if we came back. Rueben: Very well made for a diner and big enough to take half home. The quality of beef used should be a selling point. Bit skimpy on the kraut. Kids pancakes disappeared quickly, along with a side of thick, tasty bacon. "World Famous" cinnamon rolls: We'd never heard of them but they looked and smelled good. Maybe they are revered around the world. If so, I'm not sure why. After 2-3 bites each, we agreed it was disappointing. Overall, we left stuffed and satisfied. Round up to four stars.

Silver Grill Cafe is a local favorite and a must visit if you're in the vicinity. The restaurant is rich in history and has a very homey feel. I always find myself admiring the old pictures of the space since its inception. They have plenty of seating with indoor and outdoor seating options. We arrived on a Saturday morning and were seated pretty quickly. Service was great! Our server was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious as always! We ordered the breakfast tacos which includes 3 soft corn tacos with scrambled eggs, tomato, peppers, onions and chedder jack cheese. Topped with avocado cream and cilantro. For the side, we ordered the hash browns. The meal was delicious and filling! We also ordered the country breakfast which includes 2 eggs, hash browns, choice of bacon, ham, sausage links or sausage patties with a biscuit and gravy and toast. I ordered the bacon and the cinnamon roll toast. The country breakfast was the ultimate comfort breakfast. The cinnamon rolls here are next level and a must have with your meal. The cinnamon roll toast is my favorite. It's a cinnamon roll, split and griddled with butter. It's perfectly toasted and has a light crunch. They also have traditional cinnamon rolls in mini and giant sizes as well as different flavors. They come in traditional/homestyle, pecan, and seasonal flavors. When we visited, they had the creme brûlée cinnamon roll as the seasonal roll. The only "downside" of this place is finding a place to park, but that's expected given the downtown location and the restaurant's popularity. Highly recommend visiting Silver Grill Cafe for a great meal!

We got the giant cinnamon roll, a mini pecan roll (that's all the had left size wise) and a giant roll of the month which was cherry almond! They were all SO good. I also got an iced latte. We got everything to go and had them as a picnic in a nearby park. Staff was so friendly and patient as we were deciding what we wanted. The place itself was very busy for sit down service, but we were able to walk in and get things to go with no issue.

This is half portion!

The portions are hearty and delicious! Service is fast and love the counter seating! The setting is diner like with friendly staff. Try the fresh squeezed orange juice!!! Yum

Always a pleasure, lovely ambience and food! Note to self: I prefer the matcha over coffee here. :)

This is straightforward a very good breakfast place. They are I guess famous for their Cinnamon Rolls and they are indeed very good but I'm not even a huge fan of Cinnamon Rolls anyway. The make a very good Benedict here, maybe one of the best and other items on the menu are really good too. The place can get pretty busy and there might be a wait. Service was excellent, for example, I wanted a small Cinnamon Roll, the server came back and said they were out of small ones but he would give me a large one without any extra charge. Those small things make a huge difference. The place is in a historic building and it's nice that they have some signage with the building history on premise. This is a very casual, busy place and it's also very clean and nice. It's going to be a breakfast favorite when I'm in Fort Collings.

Service was top-notch. Food was freaking phenomenal. Spicy blood mary and breakfast tacos were my choice - and they HIT THE SPOT! Big portions and great flavors. Share the giant cinnamon roll if you aren't looking to hurt yourself. So SOOO yummy though!

Cinnamon roll

Had breakfast and it did not disappoint. In fact, make sure you come HUNGRY!!! My daughter always gets a cinnamon roll but it was my first time. I got the Aggie breakfast and only ate half. It was wonderful though. Service was impeccable and we luckily came early on a Sunday because there was a wait as we were leaving

Denver omelette - they swapped in American cheese as requested. Delicious.

This is a fantastic breakfast place. Kind of a classic diner but nicer. You can get cocktails, lattes, and a great selection of food! They're known for the cinnamon rolls and for a reason. They're really great, not dry like so many! My omelette was great and I love the simple breakfast potatoes. Not a classic hash brown. I like these much better! Service was great, too! Our party of 5 were all super impressed!

I prefer Silver Grill to all of its competitors in town. The best service in any busy restaurant I've been to. Our waitresss is so cool and checked on us multiple times. The owner himself went around shaking hands and listening to customers. It's no wonder they are so loved in our community. And the meals are all very authentic recipes close to the owner's heart. The people who work feel comfortable and happy, I can tell they like their job! It's big enough you can fit half the town inside- and its farm house chic. I think it boosts my appetite! Well done !

Breakfast Burrito

Delicious brunch, fast and friendly service, and the best cinnamon rolls you'll ever eat! Friday morning brunch around 9:30 had a wait time of around 10 minutes. We were sat promptly when we returned to the restaurant. I started with a cup of coffee, which was standard. I split the corned beef Benedict - a little dry, not enough hollandaise sauce for my liking - and the breakfast burrito - deliciously smothered and flavorful. The breakfast potatoes were crispy and a great side, though lacking in salt. The star of the show was the cinnamon roll. We tried their weekly(?) special, the creme brûlée cinnamon roll. The custard was rich, smooth, and had excellent, high quality vanilla flavor. The doughy parts were not dry at all, and overall had a great balance of sweetness. Of course the burnt sugar was crispy and delicious. Their blueberry fritter caught my eye on the way out, so I'll have to come back for that!

Would this be able to accommodate 15 people for a wedding party brunch? If yes can reservations be made?

We're happy to work with you! Give us a call at 970-484-4656 or send a note via our website contact page (www.silvergrill.com) and we can figure out how to help you. Thank you!

I am gluten intolerant do you have breakfast menu for that?

We have everything marked as gluten free on the menu. Many things can be made with gluten free bread and corn beef hash is made with GF beer. Pretty good amount of options.

New ownership, great atmosphere and staff. This has become a restaurant instead of a deli. But I…read morethoroughly enjoyed our meal. The chicken drumlettes (wings) were outstanding. They trimmed the bone end and pushed all the meat to the top. This made them less fatty and stringy, more crispy and delicious. Their short rib croquettes were also amazing. I'd never had a short ribs prepared this way stuffed inside a tasty pastry with potato and cheese. They are my new favorites. I was so full on appetizers that I went straight to dessert next and I have to say that their cookie dough creme brûlée. It wasn't too sugary and the cookie dough flavoring was not overpowering. Simply fantastic way to end a meal. I even took home their brownie and ice cream for my housemate. They said it was the best brownie they've ever had.

On the first trip I discovered Choice City Butcher and the best damn hamburgers I have ever had, anywhere, bar none. I returned for a burger pilgrimage at least once on every trip since. The vibe was casual (order at the counter/bar) and the beer selection was outstanding. This last year I went back for my yearly trip and was excited to introduce one of my colleagues to this place. As soon as I walked in, it all seemed different. The beer taps were gone, a waiter (!!) greeted us and seated us in a foofy feeling booth. I inquired about the changes and found that the ownership had changed recently. The menu was much more upscale feeling (though prices were relatively reasonable) and lacked the signature burgers I was looking forward to. Our order started with the brussels sprouts appetizer. Solid app. Very tasty and nicely roasted with a yummy aioli. My old fashioned was fine, but nothing special (I make a better one at home with $20 bottle bourbon). My main was their Horsetooth Burger (Chili Relleno burger) which was pretty disappointing. The patty itself looked and felt like it was frozen, not hand formed like the old ones. The Poblano was nearly tasteless and way too big for the bun. Overall the burger was very average and not very flavorful. In the long run, I was pretty disappointed in the food. Service, was great. Very attentive and friendly. Despite that, this will probably be my last visit to Choice City. I will mourn the loss of those amazing burgers for the rest of my life...

We got the chicken pot pie, quarter rotisserie chicken, and salmon quinoa cakes. Rotisserie chicken is a must order! Very juicy and delicious. Eh. Over recent years, I've had very hit and miss experiences at the downtown Austin's. Yesterday…read morewas another disappointing miss. We stopped in for a late lunch, arriving around 2. We started with a beer for my husband and a mocktail for me. The mocktail (blueberry lemonade) was simply not worth the $7 price tag. Mostly ice - filled to the literal rim of the glass. So full when I took one of my first sips, ice fell to the floor. There was just a splash of ginger beer; it could've used more but, alas, no room with all that ice! When I mentioned it to the server, she explained that's how they make them. She offered to bring me another, but it seemed clear she meant I'd be paying for it. No thank you. Next, my food. I tried the salmon burger (new to the menu, I'm told) which is actually a salmon croquette on a bun with some lettuce and vinaigrette. It's HUGE and not in a good way. The first few bites were okay, and I thought the heavily breaded effect was due to biting into the edge. As I continued eating, though, most bites felt like a mouthful of bread. I can only hope there was minced salmon in it, but the ratio was so heavy on breadcrumbs that I couldn't detect it. Not the slightest hint of pink on the inside either. I ate about 1/2, my hungry hub finished it. The flaws of the salmon burger didn't seem worth pointing out to the server after the response I got with the drink. Later, as we walked around downtown, I felt like I had a lead sandwich in my stomach. My husband had a better experience than I. His bison burger came out great. No complaints. Unfortunately for me, I think I'll just have to order very specific things when coming here now. Austin's has sentimental value for me - it's the first place we dined after moving here 27 years ago. Because of that, I keep giving them second chances after they fall short. I just wish they'd return to the days of "you can't go wrong", everything is awesome.
