The vibe here is fun and the service is great! It is a Fort Collins classic and has been operating since 1933. I got the eggs Benedict and cinnamon roll and both were delicious. I especially like the potato side, they're flavorful.

I am absolutely obsessed with this place. I was back visiting foco and made sure to stop here. The food is delicious, the prices are great, the service is awesome, and the environment is family friendly! It is a bit loud so if you're sensitive to sound bring ear plugs! It's busy too! We had to wait but were able to walk around while waiting too! I love love love this place!!

We pulled up near Old Town and strolled by the Silver Grill. There was a sizable crowd waiting outside. The smell of brunch wafted down the sidewalk. "Must be pretty good." A few hours later, we were in the mood for brunch and headed toward the car. No line. Yes. We were seated immediately. Our server came by quickly to welcome us and get drink orders. She was on point for our whole meal, checking just regularly enough. The menu offers choices galore for breakfast lunch, coffees, etc. On to the grub... Country breakfast: This is a big meal. The real heroes were the hash browns--seasoned and browned just right. Sausage patties were lackluster, evoking memories of free motel breakfasts--shoulda got bacon. The biscuit held up its end of the deal, The gravy had perfect thick texture, but little flavor. I'd get something else if we came back. Rueben: Very well made for a diner and big enough to take half home. The quality of beef used should be a selling point. Bit skimpy on the kraut. Kids pancakes disappeared quickly, along with a side of thick, tasty bacon. "World Famous" cinnamon rolls: We'd never heard of them but they looked and smelled good. Maybe they are revered around the world. If so, I'm not sure why. After 2-3 bites each, we agreed it was disappointing. Overall, we left stuffed and satisfied. Round up to four stars.

Silver Grill Cafe is a local favorite and a must visit if you're in the vicinity. The restaurant is rich in history and has a very homey feel. I always find myself admiring the old pictures of the space since its inception. They have plenty of seating with indoor and outdoor seating options. We arrived on a Saturday morning and were seated pretty quickly. Service was great! Our server was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious as always! We ordered the breakfast tacos which includes 3 soft corn tacos with scrambled eggs, tomato, peppers, onions and chedder jack cheese. Topped with avocado cream and cilantro. For the side, we ordered the hash browns. The meal was delicious and filling! We also ordered the country breakfast which includes 2 eggs, hash browns, choice of bacon, ham, sausage links or sausage patties with a biscuit and gravy and toast. I ordered the bacon and the cinnamon roll toast. The country breakfast was the ultimate comfort breakfast. The cinnamon rolls here are next level and a must have with your meal. The cinnamon roll toast is my favorite. It's a cinnamon roll, split and griddled with butter. It's perfectly toasted and has a light crunch. They also have traditional cinnamon rolls in mini and giant sizes as well as different flavors. They come in traditional/homestyle, pecan, and seasonal flavors. When we visited, they had the creme brûlée cinnamon roll as the seasonal roll. The only "downside" of this place is finding a place to park, but that's expected given the downtown location and the restaurant's popularity. Highly recommend visiting Silver Grill Cafe for a great meal!

The portions are hearty and delicious! Service is fast and love the counter seating! The setting is diner like with friendly staff. Try the fresh squeezed orange juice!!! Yum

Always a pleasure, lovely ambience and food! Note to self: I prefer the matcha over coffee here. :)

Had breakfast and it did not disappoint. In fact, make sure you come HUNGRY!!! My daughter always gets a cinnamon roll but it was my first time. I got the Aggie breakfast and only ate half. It was wonderful though. Service was impeccable and we luckily came early on a Sunday because there was a wait as we were leaving

This is straightforward a very good breakfast place. They are I guess famous for their Cinnamon Rolls and they are indeed very good but I'm not even a huge fan of Cinnamon Rolls anyway. The make a very good Benedict here, maybe one of the best and other items on the menu are really good too. The place can get pretty busy and there might be a wait. Service was excellent, for example, I wanted a small Cinnamon Roll, the server came back and said they were out of small ones but he would give me a large one without any extra charge. Those small things make a huge difference. The place is in a historic building and it's nice that they have some signage with the building history on premise. This is a very casual, busy place and it's also very clean and nice. It's going to be a breakfast favorite when I'm in Fort Collings.

Service was top-notch. Food was freaking phenomenal. Spicy blood mary and breakfast tacos were my choice - and they HIT THE SPOT! Big portions and great flavors. Share the giant cinnamon roll if you aren't looking to hurt yourself. So SOOO yummy though!

Denver omelette - they swapped in American cheese as requested. Delicious.

This is a fantastic breakfast place. Kind of a classic diner but nicer. You can get cocktails, lattes, and a great selection of food! They're known for the cinnamon rolls and for a reason. They're really great, not dry like so many! My omelette was great and I love the simple breakfast potatoes. Not a classic hash brown. I like these much better! Service was great, too! Our party of 5 were all super impressed!

I prefer Silver Grill to all of its competitors in town. The best service in any busy restaurant I've been to. Our waitresss is so cool and checked on us multiple times. The owner himself went around shaking hands and listening to customers. It's no wonder they are so loved in our community. And the meals are all very authentic recipes close to the owner's heart. The people who work feel comfortable and happy, I can tell they like their job! It's big enough you can fit half the town inside- and its farm house chic. I think it boosts my appetite! Well done !

Delicious brunch, fast and friendly service, and the best cinnamon rolls you'll ever eat! Friday morning brunch around 9:30 had a wait time of around 10 minutes. We were sat promptly when we returned to the restaurant. I started with a cup of coffee, which was standard. I split the corned beef Benedict - a little dry, not enough hollandaise sauce for my liking - and the breakfast burrito - deliciously smothered and flavorful. The breakfast potatoes were crispy and a great side, though lacking in salt. The star of the show was the cinnamon roll. We tried their weekly(?) special, the creme brûlée cinnamon roll. The custard was rich, smooth, and had excellent, high quality vanilla flavor. The doughy parts were not dry at all, and overall had a great balance of sweetness. Of course the burnt sugar was crispy and delicious. Their blueberry fritter caught my eye on the way out, so I'll have to come back for that!

Stopped in here on a Saturday for brunch and while there was a wait, it went quickly! This spot is super cute and has been around for many years! My one complaint is that it does get pretty temperature warm inside, which didn't help us trying to escape the heat of the outdoors. The food portions are huge. We started with a mini cinnamon roll (which is about a traditional roll size) because they had just sold out of the pecan roll. The cinnamon roll was delicious! We ordered the country breakfast and the fiesta hash and eggs. Both were very good and very filling. Also ordered a mimosa and they are large size! Yum! Will definitely be coming back

You get to create your own burger or try one of their own signature burgers. Parking is street parking or you can try and park in one of the lots in the surrounding areas. We were seated right away and placed our drink orders too. Next was the fun part! My friend taught me all about the build your own burger and how we get to choose our toppings and burger and bread. But I could also have picked a signature burger off the menu. I did a classic cheeseburger with Parmesan garlic fries. I chose a single 1/3 pound beef for the patty, with a brioche bun, with American cheese, and bacon aïoli sauce. I didn't realize the bacon aïoli sauce was gonna be spicy, it had a little kick to it so I had to scrape the rest of it off, but the rest of the burger was great! The fries were nice and crisp and had plenty of Parmesan cheese and garlic. I always hate it when they skimp out on the toppings for the fries. I thought it was a little pricey, and looking at their signature burgers, I definitely could've picked one of those and it would've been cheaper. But that's on me for not looking ahead. I think if I'm back on that side of town, I would definitely try going again.

I chose to enjoy a glass of Sparkling Rosé by Gruet out of New Mexico. Lovely. The decor is an interesting mix of things. Odds and ends that come together to be their vibe. They have lots of great plants throughout the building as well. Our food arrived and we enjoyed it thoroughly. I chose to get the shrimp and grits. I added on a side of their collard greens. Those were delicious. the shrimp was well seasoned and grilled on top of some lovely, cheesy poblano grits. Two basted eggs crowned grits with a crispy tortilla strip garnish. My friend gave me her slice of focaccia toast. That was hearty. Being that we were in a side room and no one else was seated at the immediate tables, it was easy to be forgotten. We had to flag down our server to get our check so we could head on our way. I do understand how hard it is when short staffed. Overall solid beverage choices and great food. We started with a beer for my husband and a mocktail for me. The mocktail (blueberry lemonade) was simply not worth the $7 price tag. Mostly ice - filled to the literal rim of the glass. So full when I took one of my first sips, ice fell to the floor. There was just a splash of ginger beer; it could've used more but, alas, no room with all that ice! When I mentioned it to the server, she explained that's how they make them. She offered to bring me another, but it seemed clear she meant I'd be paying for it. No thank you. Next, my food. I tried the salmon burger (new to the menu, I'm told) which is actually a salmon croquette on a bun with some lettuce and vinaigrette. It's HUGE and not in a good way. The first few bites were okay, and I thought the heavily breaded effect was due to biting into the edge. As I continued eating, though, most bites felt like a mouthful of bread. I can only hope there was minced salmon in it, but the ratio was so heavy on breadcrumbs that I couldn't detect it. Not the slightest hint of pink on the inside either. I ate about 1/2, my hungry hub finished it. The flaws of the salmon burger didn't seem worth pointing out to the server after the response I got with the drink. Later, as we walked around downtown, I felt like I had a lead sandwich in my stomach. My husband had a better experience than I. His bison burger came out great. No complaints. Unfortunately for me, I think I'll just have to order very specific things when coming here now. Austin's has sentimental value for me - it's the first place we dined after moving here 27 years ago. Because of that, I keep giving them second chances after they fall short. I just wish they'd return to the days of "you can't go wrong", everything is awesome.

The burger was very tasty (a fat bomb) and with the fries was a substantial amount of food - I was only able to eat about half of it all. However, that burger had to be the saltiest burger I've ever eaten. Curious, I went to the DC Oakes website to find nutritional information about my meal and there is no nutritional information. A third-party website (Marcos.menu) offered the following on the Bomb Diggity: Calories: 1200; Protein: 50g; Carbs: 55g; Fat: 85g. Nothing about sodium. My wife is on a sodium-restricted diet and she knows not to order anything like this burger. But still, nutritional information would be nice to know.
