Usually just get their coffee and banana bread. Which is good. But today I tried their grab n go breakfast sandwich.....they say they make them fresh everyday. This is definitely not the case when there's this much black mold on it. I did get my money back, but that because I work close by and can walk back over. I'm giving 3 stars only because I love the girls that work the convenient store. Super friendly! I won't be getting any more food from the cafe part.

We weren't expecting much since it's inside a gas station, but wow! The coffee was excellent (and we're coffee snobs). We had the Denver omelette and the vegetarian omelette. Both were excellent and cheap! They even have gluten free toast. We'll be back to try the lunch menu.

Absolutely disappointed. It's in a gas station. The floors are dirty, and I should've walked out after I noticed the prices were higher than posted on yelp. Apparently this tiny "scramble" is worth over $10. It was not. This was a $6 gas station breakfast scramble where you paid extra for the smile service. Not worth it. I won't be coming back for a second time. If I'm driving by and hungry again I'll just go to Taco John's next door.

I can't speak to anything but breakfast here, but it is probably my favorite for the food and service in town. The gas station location doesn't make a high dining ambiance. No problem as I come out of my way here to eat. Pleasant people, a wide range of options and fair prices. I paid $11 for a "meatatarian" with extra of their great green chili and a refillable large soda. I'm not a Vegetarian but they're covered here too.

Just stopped to get gas - wasn't expecting to find this hidden gem! But it was lunch time too... so I stood in the line - 10 people deep (that's how you know it's good folks). I grabbed a Reuben, some chips, and a drink all for less than $10. The wait was very reasonable too - I was in an out of the gas station restaurant in 10 minutes with a hot sandwich. Next time I'm ordering extra sauerkraut because it was so good.

Halfway thru our lunch, spinach/strawberry salad, green line gobbler panini, and tomato bisque soup. Yum!

What an unexpected surprise in a Mobil gas station. We were in the area and checked Yelp for a lunch spot and The Green Light Cafe came up. It only had 11reviews but 5 stars so we thought we'd try it out. The menu had great sandwiches and salads. We split the strawberry and spinach salad (special that day) and the Green Light Gobbler grilled panini. Both were fantastic. My husband also had a cup of tomato bisque soup, which he said was very tasty. The food was fresh and flavorful. They are a bakery as well and the baked goods looked great. They gave us each a tiny soft sugar frosted cookie and they were yummy! The staff were all super friendly and doing a great job. Definitely a great lunch place. We want to go back for breakfast and try the breakfast burrito, we heard they are amazing.

This place is seriously the best food hidden gem in Fort Collins. Soups, Salads, and sandwiches done right, and done daily. Sooooo good!

I have to admit I was skeptical when I pulled up and found the Green Light co-located in a gas station.

The bar almost resembles something you might find in a small European hotel, which may suggest they are aiming for a slightly upscale tone, though it never feels pretentious. The seating is varied, with small tables and retro chairs that seem intentionally chosen rather than bought in bulk. The spacing is better than most coffee shops, which makes it easy to settle in without feeling crowded. The back area opens up even more, and the soft drapery adds a touch of personality that appears to hint at events or just a bit of flair. The staff continues to be the standout for me. Everyone I spoke with was kind in a way that felt natural, and they knew the menu well enough to help me navigate dairy free options. I usually order the avocado toast on focaccia because it is consistently fresh. The bread looks oversized at first but is airy and soft, and the avocado and radish topping feels simple in the best way. The matcha made with water has also become a go to since it tastes smooth and well-bodied without that chalky, thin finish some places have. My partner and I visited during their Dia de Los Muertos weekend and tried a few themed items. Everything was good, and they were quick to suggest dairy free choices. Prices seem fair, even with the general bump everywhere lately. The only thing I wish they had more of is outlets. It is still a nice place to work for a couple of hours, but coming with a charged laptop helps. The overall vibe is calm with just enough energy to keep the space from feeling sleepy. It works well for coffee dates, casual catch ups, or solo work, especially for anyone who prefers a relaxed atmosphere without too much chaos.

They open a little late for it to be a regular place for me (8am). There is a small parking lot out front and the shop is open and spacious. The music was playing softly and the atmosphere was pleasant. If I was there to work, it would be a great place for it. We both ordered a cup of black coffee, which was amazing! It was a Guatemala blend, and they rotate different types often. The coffee wasn't cheap ($3 for 12oz black coffee), but it was well worth it! They have an option for pour over coffees if that's your thing. They recently started serving breakfast burritos from Consuelos, and we both got one of those as well. They were served on a plate with silverware and a napkin. I watched the barista make drinks for some of the other customers and she made each one with great care. The service was great and I don't have anything but great things to say about this coffee spot. I would definitely come back again!

Very cool artsy psychedelic vibe, with lots of comfortable seating in a few different rooms. The barista who took my order seemed friendly, and they called my name loudly enough when my drink was ready that I could hear it from the next room. I had a piece of strawberry bread and an iced spiced chai, both really good! The strawberry bread had this fresh, rustic homemade taste to it that I loved, and it was a huge slice. The chai was appropriately strong - the spicy chai is made with soy milk, but the tea was rich enough that I didn't really pick up on the soy flavour. I could tell it was proper chai and not something made from a packaged concentrate. I wish I lived in Fort Collins so I could come here all the time!

As we were wandering northward someone started suggested G&B. My reaction was absolutely not, why don't we go to Persimmon instead? "Oh, I've heard good things - where is it?" There. "Where?" Right there. "I don't see it." That door directly across the street from us! Persimmon is quite inconspicuous from the street, but is one of Fort Collins' hidden in plain sight gems. That proved to be a good thing on a day where thousands of people pretty much had the same thought of needing something to warm up - while there were throngs at other places we passed by Persimmon was nearly empty. Our group of 6 easily found a comfy spot for our group. It turns out the we beat the lunch rush - it started to get quite busy once noon rolled around. After perusing the menu for warm drinks a few decided they were hungry so food was ordered as well. I had a matcha latte, unsweetened, and it was a perfect choice to warm up after being out in the wind and bluster that morning. They use a ceremonial grade matcha, which I found to be smooth and really not bitter. I also shared a pastrami sandwich with one of my friends - they were nice enough to bring out the sandwich halves on two plates. While not a New York deli kind of sandwich, it was good - quality ingredients on focaccia. They source their pastrami from a specialty butcher in Denver, though I've forgotten their name. Sandwiches are served with kettle chips that are light, crispy, and not too oily. In a previous visit I had their tuna sandwich and sampled some appetizers. The tuna sandwich was among the best I have ever had - I can't really put my finger on why but I do remember that my first bite wowed me. I didn't see the meze sampler on the menu this time, but as I recall the beet hummus was a standout. I don't lunch out in Old Town very often, but Persimmon is always such a pleasure. I need to make a point of coming more often.
