We had to wait a little for our reservation but it's fine. You can't make people get up and leave. We enjoyed watching the two guys in the kitchen work and I perused the gelato case. They brought us to a nice two top on the covered part of the outside of the restaurant. Spectacular views of the lake. Service was prompt. I had wine and Jeff had a cocktail. The cocktail menu did not appeal to me; my wine was fantastic. Of course I had to start with the meatballs. They were so good. For dinner I had the salmon fresca- a pasta dish, which is not my typical dish (i usually get beef!) but it sounded so good. I was very pleased with it and my husband loves fish so he was thrilled and shared with me. He also ordered the mahi mahi which comes over risotto and loved it. We were grateful for the complimentary bread and dipping sauce. Yum! They told us their desserts were homemade so we shared the cheesecake. It was better than I expected! I'm not a cheesecake fan, but I had a couple bites! What a wonderful date night for us. Thank you! We took our leftovers to go. I want more of those meatballs! Be sure to order them.

They have some seating outside on their patio and then a couple of spots inside also. The service seemed rush because of the lines probably. There were 5 of us in our party and we all tried different flavors, some of which were very unique and not available elsewhere, and it was ok. I was expecting to be blown away by the love being shown to the shop. The serving size was generous so a good value for your money. With that being said, if you're in the area, give it a try as it seems that they keep rotating their menu and as I mentioned above, some flavors are very unique.

CRISPY BRUSSEL SPROUTS Sweet and spicy soy glaze with sautéed red peppers and scallions. These were a little too heavy on the sauce for my liking, but otherwise very good. If you're not a fan of sweeter flavors, this one may not be for you. BUFFALO MAC & CHEESE Cavatappi pasta tossed in a creamy mac sauce, topped with crispy buffalo chicken, blue cheese crumbles, and onion straws. We added bacon and chicken, and this was a top pick for us! The buffalo sauce had the perfect balance--not overly spicy, but enough flavor to complement the creamy mac and cheese. CPB CO. FISH AND CHIPS Craft beer-battered haddock served with Northcoaster fries and house-made tartar sauce. Another top pick for us! The fish was crispy, flavorful, and perfectly fried. Honestly, one of the best fried fish dishes I've had in Minnesota. Unfortunately, I can't report on the beer as I'm not a big drinker...Sorry! Overall, a fantastic experience with great food, welcoming service, and plenty of variety. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Duluth!

The beer selection was a little smaller than we expected, but there was still a nice variety of styles, so everyone in our group found something they enjoyed. They also have a full bar with specialty cocktails. The food menu was surprisingly large with lots of unique and fun options to try. The only small downside was that the Brussels sprouts were still a little undercooked for our taste, but everything else was excellent and more than made up for it. Excellent brisket, fish n chips, and build your own burger! The garlic aioli and IPA mustard sauces were definitely memorable. Overall, it's a great spot for good food, craft beer, and a fun atmosphere located right on the pier. We'd definitely come back!

The service was…read morefantastic--our server was knowledgeable about the menu and helpful with explaining portion sizes for sharing. This is an upscale tapas menu, expect small plates and a surprising mix of delightful, seasonal flavors. We enjoyed the trio of dips, our favorite was the muhammara--roasted pepper and walnut with citrus and pomegranate seeds. We added on an extra pita to soak up every bite. Next was the dolma, a delicious combo of flavors and twist on the traditional. The kale salad was perfectly dressed and grilled peach added just the right sweet contrast. The Lake Trout with couscous was outstanding but my favorite part of the plate was the chermoula--a tangy, herby olive oil concoction that I must replicate. The chef came by to talk to us and answer our questions. We each enjoyed a signature cocktail, I highly recommend the Limonada 75, an Italian take on the French 75 with limoncello. We wrapped up our experience sharing the Olive Oil Cake with a rhubarb compote and generous dollop of fresh whipped cream. We will absolutely be back, we have to try the halloumi, which was unavailable, and the pasta at the table next to us looked tasty. There was also plenty of variety for a vegetarian/pescatarian to choose from. Alto Pino is expensive, but worth it. A dinner shared between three people including sharing 4 small plates, dessert, drink, and 20%+ tip came out to about $70 each. You are also paying for the experience of tasting something new and unlike anything else offered in Duluth. Reservations were easy to make online, you should make yours today! PS I'd love to see their twist on traditional Spanish tapas like patatas bravas or pan con tomate on the menu!
