The most amazing Mango/lime sorbet I have ever eaten! You could actually see little bits of lime zest inside the sorbet. It was the perfect amount not too overpowering, just enough to give it that bright flavor it needs to complement the main mango flavor. Located right above the river walk is this lovely charming ice cream place exists called Crank in Dasher. It's located by the oldest brewery in Minnesota. There is a lovely outdoor courtyard where you and sit and enjoy gorgeous weather with friends and family while eating ice cream. They do have a variety of flavors. I was with a group of 7. All of us enjoyed our choice of flavor. My friend's son ordered his ice cream with a waffle cone which is made fresh upon ordering and let me tell you it smelled amazing! The served us with a smile and we didn't wait too long for our delicious desserts. Thank you so much for a lovely evening treat, I will definitely be daydreaming about coming back here.

These young women serving the homemade ice cream are lovely! All smiles all the time from them, even when they're being asked many questions or with a long line. The ice cream was smooth and creamy, although it began melting almost immediately. I tried the following: ~ Lavender which much to my surprise, I found very enjoyable and refreshing. ~ Chocolate which was VERY chocolate-y. ~ Salted caramel was the most perfect balance of salty/sweet. ~ Cookies and cream which was sadly watery. ~ Mango and Lime sorbet was to die for! The views from this balcony are breathtaking. They have quite a bit of seating, yard games, and a bonfire pit going for customer interaction. The atmosphere increased the rating from 3 to 4 Stars for me. I appreciate the pink pop of color, too! * they allow sampling * sprinkles are service yourself * parking ramp nearby with voucher for free parking * attached to surrounding stores for shopping * staircase to boardwalk with beautiful views

Just look at that view! I swear it makes the ice cream taste even better!!

Do you like fresh ice cream? Do you love beautiful lake views!? Well then look no further than the ice cream cone trail to Crank and Dasher! I was in search of a delicious and refreshing treat with my boys one afternoon up in Duluth. There is paid parking along the street but I opted to park in a neighborhood and walk a couple blocks for free. As I was walking, I ran into The Portland Malt Shoppe. I also tried this place and have a review posted (spoiler: it wasn't a good review...) Starting on the sidewalk you follow a trail of ice cream cones! Adorable! Tucked away behind the boat club is a small pink stand that is selling big and delicious flavors! The service was extremely friendly and fast! I wanted to try a few flavors so we got honey lavender, mango lime sorbet, and vanilla. Each flavor was absolutely delicious and the textures were perfect! My favorite was the Mango lime sorbet! Very refreshing! The views here are soooo pretty! Be careful where you sit, many of the tables and chairs are reserved for the boat club members only. There were some benches and you can walk down the stairs to the boardwalk area to find more benches as well! I will absolutely be returning to this hidden gem the next time I am in Duluth! Definitely worth the stop!

Cute little ice cream shop tucked in behind the Fitgers building, overlooking the lake. They are right near the pedestrian bridge with easy access to the lakewalk and additional seating, with a firepit nearby as well. Great place to sit in the evening and relax or watch the view and activity on the lake (a big ship was coming in while I was there). They have a variety of flavors for whatever suits your mood - the strawberry was great!

Unique icecream flavors available! You are able to taste any flavors you would like! The shop is situated on the beautiful walk way on Lake Superior. I would recommend the praline vanilla!

Cute little place on Lake Superior on the Duluth Lakewalk. They are in the Fitgers Complex. They have a cute courtyard with a firepit and hair to sit and enjoy the view of the the lake.

Great little place while you walk the lakewalk, for sure stop here vs the malt shop 100% of the time, slightly edged out by love creamery

The best ice cream! We avoided the line at the Portland Malt Shop and got better ice cream.

Their honeycomb ice cream is simply amazing and one of my favorites (although the cookie monster ice cream is close). Honestly, every flavor though offers a unique spin. Even their vanilla is upgraded into a gourmet treat (it is my daughters favorite). I would highly suggest getting the flavor sampler so that you can try more flavors while enjoying a fun way of eating ice cream. One sampler easily fed my family of 5. Price point for their scoops of ice cream is great for the quality and experience. If you want to take your ice cream to go, a pint of pre packed goodness will run you $10. Love Creamery is probably one of the best ice cream places that I have experienced, high quality ice cream, unique flavors, and decent prices. No matter how cold it is outside, this ice cream joint brings on a warm, fuzzy feeling of pure delight.

This is very popular with visitors and locals alike. We came after dinner on a Saturday night and it was packed, line out the door. The line moved pretty quickly, so it wasn't too bad of a wait. We got a few different things. We liked the ice cream, very good overall, but I am not sure it is worth all the hype. For example, I got a salted caramel something and it was way too salty. The ice cream is very good quality, and the people working there are really nice, too. Just not my vibe.

Moreover, I hope the denizens of the Duluth area support this establishment because, as much as I enjoy OMC, Grandma's Canal Park Brewing, this kind of restaurant is needed here. The impetus for the above statement revolves around the absence of chef-driven and curated menus that capitalize on locality, creativity, and seasonality. This restaurant is located just on the other side of I-35. Smack-dab on Superior Street, next to North Shore Tattoo. Entering the establishment, you will see a simple and modestly adorned restaurant that is warm, inviting, and adequately lit. The menu is seasonal and robust with wonderful creations. Think of this as a Mediterranean tapas restaurant with a couple of larger entree-sized sharables. Everything we had was an incredible experience of contrasting flavours and textures. Here is what we had 1. Trio of Dips: You should get this so you don't miss out on the experience of each of these. It is hard to pick a favorite, but the Red Pepper Walnut was incredible. The citrus compote livened up this. The Labneh was quite lovely. More moisture should have been removed, but the selection of herbs atop of the labneh made this pop. The hummus was enjoyable, and had a thicker consistency than I usually have, but it was pretty good. 2. Seared Halloumi - Who doesn't like fried cheese?? The ouzo onions were a terrific addition. Get this one for sure. The hummus was enjoyable, and had a thicker consistency than I usually have, but it was pretty good. 3. Pickled and Stuffed Chard - This was a fun twist on dolmades, and I enjoyed this one. I considered this my salad/vegetable intake for the day :) 4. Braised Rabbit - This was the only disappointment of the whole evening. The leg was flavorful, but it was sooo dry, and I regret not getting the pork. The table next to us got the port, and I was jealous. 5. (Desert )Olive Oil Cake - I was full at this point, but ordered it anyway. It was awesome. You've come this far, order it and thank me later. I really hope the folks of Duluth appreciate this gem in your city, and please support this restaurant.
