They serve a lot of Tater tots and French Fries at Papa G's. The potato products are Way way way overcooked in the fryer, They are greasy. They taste burnt and unpleasant. I should have left every Tater Tot except the first one on my plate. * * * Now to be fair, Truckers LOVE The Rocking G. There are a lot of trucks parked in the back and the truckers hang out throughout the complex. The food is inexpensive, and the gas may be inexpensive too. They have good showers, and the physical building is nice. I did NOT have the burgers. The cheese just sat there on the hamburger patty, not budging, not melting not getting gooey just sitting there. While her french fry order was hot and fresh, my onion ring order was rather lukewarm and crispy and yet also somewhat rubbery. Kind of weird for a fried product unless it had been fried and then possibly reheated in the microwave and served to me. It became obvious to both of us that the kitchen staff had simply pre-cooked some hamburger patties and set them aside and plopped them on hamburger buns and then they added the chilled mustard, lettuce, onions, and pickles.
