Stopped in for a bite to eat on our way up to the mountains around 2 on a Saturday. The place was empty so we had 1 of the 2 patio tables to ourselves. We had our dog with us and the server was quick to bring out a bowl of water for her which was nice. Lunch menu offered a lot- we went with the turkey & Brie sandwich with side salad and the muffaletta with broccoli salad. Both items came out quickly and were tasty. Sandwiches didn't skimp on the ingredients and sides were a good portion. Upon checkout, we added a few items from the dessert case (birthday fudge, homemade peanut butter cup, and thin mint cookie) for the ride. After asking for recommendations, I settled on the Greek salad. I loved the choice of ingredients, although the beautiful arrangement meant I had to do some work to mix it up in order to get a bit of everything in each bite. Dressing was wonderful. A little too much meat for my liking, but I'm sure I'm the minority. Afterwards I indulged in some dark chocolate-covered pretzels with sea salt. So good, I ate two! We stopped in here and were delighted by the box lunch options! $10 for a sandwich of your choice, side, and beverage. I chose the roasted turkey on a baguette with brie and green apple. The bread was fresh and tasty, the turkey nicely roasted and the generous portion of brie made the sandwich special. The service was exceptionally warm and efficient. They also feature homemade baked goods and locally made chocolates. I had the butterscotch cookie and my husband had a chocolate chip. Both were freshly baked and very tasty. This is a wonderful option for folks who want to picnic in the beautiful surrounding areas. We stopped in for the first, but not last, time today. The dood is absolutely fabulous. I had the frittata which was soft, light, and thoroughly delicious. My husband had a sandwich which was served hot and tasted wonderful! We both had a side of Greek pasta salad which was very good. Fountain drink might be better but they had canned tea and soda and bottled water. They need a bit more sitting area but that is not a problem. The people were so kind and friendly. It's definitely somewhere you want to try. And the prices are good! read more

I was looking for a dog friendly place to grab lunch. This place has outside seating and is dog friendly. Other places that had outdoor seating were not dog friendly .The turkey sandwich with Brie and apple slices was great. I added a brownie which was just as great. The even offered water for my dog. Has a small parking lot + easy to find street parking; just a wee bit outside of the more busy downtown/touristy area which our party of 4 found as an plus. Great friendly service in this smallish location. I'd definitely return. One drawback could be limited seating inside and outside patio, if crowded with eat-in patrons. But, it's also a perfect and delicious and ample choice for a take-out eating option. There is no public washroom so plan ahead if you have this possible need. read more

My third visit was today and again I walk away not disappointed. I had the tuna melt. The tuna was delicious and pairing it with the rye bread was perfect. My only issue is that when I think "tuna melt" I think " hot toasty sandwich", and this was not. I know it was put under the broiler to melt the cheese but bread was not toasted and tuna not hot throughout. Maybe this is just my preference. Stopped in here for a quick lunch while shopping in the area. I will definitely be going back next time I'm in town. The food is superb, the owner and employees showed true southern hospitality and the desserts are the best.
