Very nice place! You can find everything and anything to organize your home and life. Good costumer service.

Hangers in all sorts of colors.

It's been a couple years since I stepped foot inside The Container Store. I was cleaning out a drawer the other day and found a $50 gift card from a neighbor for taking care of their dog...so generous. The timing couldn't have been more perfect, because I was in need of some hangers and anything else to help get our house organized in the closet department. I priced hangers at other big box stores, and I'm pretty sure The Container Store had the best deal on white plastic hangers that matched what I already had. This was my first in-store visit (aside from the grocery store), since Covid. Not going to lie, I probably wouldn't have gone in...but $50! It was pretty crowded in there, but I went straight to the hangers and grabbed what I needed and added a couple of nice laundry baskets. I stood in a long line, but it was slow because the counters were being thoroughly wiped down between customers (fine by me). The store was properly marked with 6' social distancing stickers, and everyone had masks on and seemed to be practicing safe measures. Prior to getting in line I spent some time looking around. Can I be honest with you? WOW...I forgot how pricey The Container Store is! I saw a canvas laundry basket for $99 and other organizers I would have dreamed to have. Though I will continue to dream about the organizers, I will for sure come back for hangers, cardboard gift/shipping boxes and wrapping paper during the holidays.

Re Jack M. Unfortunately, it's impossible to "guide" moronic behavior. The Container Store rocks!

Cute store alert!…read more What an adorable new gift shop in Downtown Highland Park. I've passed by many times, and tonight I was so enticed by the window display and inside decor, that I finally made the stop. I was immediately welcomed by a friendly woman behind the counter and asked if there was anything she could assist me with. I told her I wanted to just look around and take it all in. She was fine with that. She let me know they were a little low on merchandise because they are participating in a big show, but I found the place to be packed with accessories in every nook and cranny. If you're looking for a hostess, birthday, or holiday gift, you will come away with some great ideas. Take note, they especially have fun and useful gifts for guys. Whether your man likes to play games, cook, or whip up a martini, you'll find cookbooks, bar cart accessories, and random games. Cookbooks for kids, a large variety of candles, lotions and potions, you can also participate in scheduled cooking demonstrations like how to prepare a charcuterie board, cake decorating, and tablescapes. I hope you'll stop in and support this lovely shop surrounded by some of the most beautiful holiday light displays. I promise it will get you in the mood for the upcoming holiday season.

Rather than removing the item from the table display to properly measure, she tried to hold the tape measure up to the display. She told me it was 60". I got it home and it did not fit. I called within 15 min of making the purchase. The woman then said it was actually 63". I said I had to return the item. She told me I can only return for a store credit! I paid cash, the error was hers, and I don't get my money back??? She said that's the store policy- credit ONLY. I was told I would have to talk to the manager the next day. I decided to properly measure the item myself. It was actually 78"!!! I called Adesso again. I asked the sales-women to repeat the measurements. She said 63". I then told her "I just measured and it is actually 78"!!! "So I assume I can now come in for my refund!" She had the audacity to still say I would have to talk to a manager the next day. I again told her it was her mistake and not mine. She would not budge. After 3 phone calls, about 5 minutes of going back and forth trying to get a refund, she says that her sales associate is telling her they can void out the purchase and I can return it. She made no apologies for their lack of professional conduct or for my aggravation due to her error. I will never shop at Adesso in Highland Park again :) When a business hires idiots - it only reflects on the store directly.

Tonight I finished my holiday shopping for my niece and picked up a couple of beautiful gifts. The kids section contains high-quality merchandise. My hubby was literally double-parked outside, and I thought I could just run in and out, but no way. I wanted to buy the entire collection! From adorable natural cotton baby clothes to books, to stuffed animals, to toys, you will not leave empty-handed. They have something for every budget, and I think the prices are spot on for the quality. I truly admit to being completely obsessed with an adorable owl stuffed animal. Sooooo cute! Now, the best part about this store? Well, aside from the well-curated merchandise, is the owner. She's a total sweetheart and helped me pick out the perfect gift. She also gift-wrapped it in a super cute burlap bag with my choice of tissue color and a tie. Thank you...thank you. I'm so happy to see that this store is around. I need to stop in more often. Of course, not just for baby gifts, because they have grown-up goodies and cards too. Run, don't walk to this store. You won't be disappointed. Plus, it's super cute inside.

You know you have little ones at home when you pass by a new store and can't get a nursery rhyme out of your head. Yes, there's a new store in Glencoe...whoo hoo! I haven't done much shopping in town since Shirise closed their doors earlier this year (RIP), but it's fabulous to have a store where you can quickly pop in for a housewarming gift or just a little something for visiting a new baby. In the few weeks BlackSheep has been open I've stopped in twice to purchase: a) a lovely candle for the host of dinner during the jewish holidays b) a lovey for a new baby visit (the "real" gift wasn't ready quite yet) And of course I can't forget the few times my pre-schooler has dragged me in there for "just a few pieces of candy." Based on the fabulous candy display they have set up I have a feeling we'll be spending lots of time (and $) at BlackSheep. Welcome to the hood BlackSheep!

To which she said, and it kinda floored me, " I don't judge people by their clothes." I should note we were dressed very casually. She was trying her best to size us up which is just gross to be honest. She exhibited the type of off-putting vibe that gives the North Shore a bad rep.
