A few weeks ago, I stopped inside the Container Store by Eisenhower Parkway for kitchen and shelving organizers. I've been to other locations before, but this was my first time at the Livingston store. Overall, I had a good shopping experience and would come back again. I found good BOGO sale deals and price markdowns - a kitchen wrap organizer for $2.99 (marked down from $9.99) and a large, tall cabinet shelf that worked perfectly in the kitchen for $12.99. The store is well organized and visually merchandised; it's cool to walk around and look at their inventory. Plus, the staff were nice. The woman who rang me up at the register was friendly and I even signed up for the customer rewards program... So I'd recommend the store if you are in the area or local and need something specific, or are looking for some home organization inspo. read more

The Container Store is a fabulous store! I have always wanted to stop in a container store, and unfortunately, we do not have one back home. So when I saw this one I jumped at the chance to go inside. The store is super big on the inside with so much variety. I picked up a few cute things. A strainer that stops hair from clogging the drain, some cute sticky tabs, and a horsehair brush. I saw many things I would have liked to have purchased, but you quickly notice how expensive this store is. The store staff seemed to hover around the shoppers as well, which made me pretty uncomfortable. Overall an okay experience here. read more

It was my first time at a container store and I wasn't prepared for the amount of items they carry. You figure it's a container store, so only containers. They should call it the Storage, Organizer and Closet Store! It recently opened (Oct) so it's clean and has that new store smell. Staff is extremely helpful but when checking out you can encounter a bit of line... They carry items from simple hangers all the way to garage organizers. They specialize in closets and if you price them out vs competitors, they are competitive. Not sure about the quality but it seems legit. As a homeowner and having kids, it's an ideal store to buy items from to not make your house look like a bomb went off. Now you don't have to be embarrassed to open your garage during the day so people can see the slob you really are. ENJOY! read more

I am a very organize person and this place just made my life 100 better. they have the cutest and the most practical organization set for everyone. I need some stuffs for my desk at work and for my kitchen and they have so many stuffs in here that you end up buying the whole store. They got cute year agendas, desk décor and household containers. I am defintaedly going back next week since they have the best sets for organizing tea bags and the one I really wanted was out of stock so the cashier kindly helped me to order one and told me the pick it up sometime next week. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. We recently moved and spent over $1000 at this location in the span of two weeks. The staff here is not helpful, rude, and even made fun of us on multiple occasions for making two trips in a week and buying organization products (?!). No one offered to help us carry things out and cashiers made us feel like we were bothering them by having them check us out and bag our items. That is not how you treat customers, and certainly not how you treat people. We will not be coming back to this location. Giving two stars because the bathroom was clean and store was fairly organized. read more

I am in love with this store. Everything about to is amazing. I was really surprised at how big the store was. I lost stay that they did a really good job with the space that they had. Although it is a zoo in here everything is really still organized and in its place. Everything is labelled so you don't have to wonder about the prices. The Elfa system is great, this is the 3rd closet I've redone over the 10 years. You gain so much space with the shelves. Toni in the Livingston store is fantastic and really knows what she's doing. She had a lot of patience to help me with the design. This store is nice and clean, bathrooms are beautiful. Andrew at the front end was also great and helpful. Just beware that it does get crowded and busy. Make an appointment for the closet design if possible. read more

If you're looking for different ideas and options with your boxes - be sure to check the Xmas and gift wrapping sections. The store is big. This place is absolutely amazing , you would think this franchise sold literally Containers. Nope! I assumed I would find Pyrex glassware or tub-aware, but I was wrong. It's a blend of the store Michaels, Big Lots and Hobby Lobby. From kitchen accessories, to holiday decors, to clothes. I loved the variety. We could hardly contain ourselves at the Container Store. This store features much more than the famed containers which are oh so beautifully scattered around the building. In addition to everyday office and household supplies, the Container Store has backpacks, picture frames, and trashcans. One negative thing was that the prices were a little too high. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE On the evening of January 4, 2021 They are very arrogant and they have the believe they are doing you a favor for letting you shop there. The merchandise is extremely expensive and yet my wife and I we're willing to make a purchase since the location is very convenient to our home. A thin African American young woman came by and we asked her for her assistance. She got extremely upset whenever I asked a question. In two occasions she told me she knew better and I should not ask questions. Then she turned over to my wife and had the nerve to ask my wife: how long I have been married to her. BAD treatment of customers. I was in on a recent morning and need some assistance. I asked one employee (male) as he was walking towards me. He looked right past me, grabbed a ladder, turned his back to me and walked away. No acknowledgement or "I'll be right back" or "I'll get someone to help you". Then I saw another employee (woman) and asked for help. She said "Maybe". What? How about, "yes, what do you need?" She did end up helping me, but when I had more questions about the stock of the product, she acted annoyed. Yuck. I encountered other employees afterwards who said hello and were pleasant, so I'm not sure what is going on with these two employees but the whole experience left me with a bad feeling. So much so that I was compelled to write this post! I don't plan to head back to that store anytime soon. read more

My husband and I really love The Container Store. For years we drove up to the Rt 17 store for our needs. A while back we saw there was going to be a new store in Bridgewater and were so excitement. Hence, imagine our joy when we saw this store, 10 minutes from our house. The first trip ended in complete disappointment. We shopped, got some new goods for the home and went to check out. However, the credit card system was down and we had no cash. Sooooo we left our goods on the counter after ~10 minutes of waiting for the system to come back up. Fast forward to our next trip. We go through the store, get our goods (including what we didn't get from the prior trip) and proceed to checkout. My husband said, "go get in line for check out, I am gonna keep looking around." Uh Oh. Nothing I hate more than waiting and waiting to give a store my money. So there are two lines with a total of 3 cashiers on a Saturday afternoon. Of course I pick the line that takes the longest. About 10 minutes later, after much frustration we check out and leave. It will be an awful long time before I go back to this location. read more

After many months of being opened I finally made it to the container store and also faced the reality of why I have stayed away for as long as I have...buying containers for things we both plan on storing food in right away and for future thing we now have to buy to put in the extra ones we bought! I really enjoy the layout of the store and how well it's broken down into sections. You can get things for the pantry, kitchen, laundry, office and even closet designs. I didn't find a lot of value in many of the isles and primarily focused on the food storage area. But this is a fun place to peruse for frivolous purchases very much like bed, bath and beyond. read more

Do you wanna be a pop star? The associate asked me this after I paid for my items. I was like Why not? If it was for free and I get 10% off my next order than why not? Awesome store, filled with neat trinkets and made for organizers, gift wrappers, do it at homers, all in all a place to get organized. You literally can spend hours at this place roaming through each of the aisles. The aisles are separated by various aspects of your life you would like to get organized. There was this really nice product which had those shelves for a door pantry but didn't require bolting. The staff is really nice and the place is warm and inviting. Terrible service on their grand opening weekend. Will never recommend this store to anyone. My wife and I went to look at their TCS System cabinets which were beautiful and we were interested in purchasing. To start, the first two sales associates we spoke with initially were very nice and welcoming. However, once their so called "Designer" came over, her name was Michelle, she was the rudest most condescending person I have ever met. She should not be employed in retail because she is lacking the skills needed to speak to customers properly. I work in retail and this is not the way customers should be treated. My wife and I were treated like second class citizens and this "Designer" no longer wanted to help us once she felt that we were not going to spend $10k. First of all, their pricing is very vague online and inside the store unless you want exactly what is displayed on their showroom floor, they don't want to help you. Basically we were told that it was going to be $10,000 no matter what and that we shouldn't even bother getting a real quote because it would be that anyway. I stated that I want a physical quote with exactly what we were looking for with a breakdown of the individual pieces so that we could adjust our pricing accordingly but they proceeded to tell me that this would take 2 days to complete. She showed us a computer screen with a range of 6,700-10,000 which is a huge range in price. The fake designer then called over her manager who explained that we were looking at $10,000 because we wanted doors. Then so called designer and manager told us this system was probably "not for us" and there are other options out there without even knowing our budget - which we never disclosed. What a nice way to treat customers - shame on you for not even working with us on finding a solution that would best meet our needs. We will be taking our business elsewhere and will not be shopping at the container store because of the disgusting treatment we just experienced. read more

Wanted to do an elfa closet over my Christmas vacation. Went to the store on Dec 23rd. Hardly anyone was there. The "designer" had a short attention span and did not get the closet design right even though it was very simple; only shelves and drawers and the drawers were all supposed to be the exact same size. She then told me that a few of my items were backordered but that I could pick up the majority of my items on the 27th. Someone would text me around 11:15 am to let me know the order was ready for pick up. On the 27th, I wait around for hours to get my text. Planned my whole day around it. By 2:30, no text. So I call the store and tell the person who answers that I was supposed to get a text at 11:15 am to pick up my items. They tell me that I have 30 days from availability to pick up my items. I said well that's lovely, but I'm calling to find out if my order is ready, not what your pick up policy is. Then I get put on hold. Person comes back and tells me that some of my items are backordered. I said Yes I knew that, but the rest of my order was supposed to be ready today. Hold again. By this time I was so frustrated, I told them to cancel and hung up. Went to Ikea and got the Algot system for less than 1/3 of the price. The shelves are much better, too, than the Container Store's wire crap. Now I will still be able to use my vacation time and get a more customized closet. Ikea's online Algot planner was better able to account for an eve that cut into the top of my closet! read more
