I can't speak highly enough about Jay & his crew from The Construction Guyz! A fence job at my home in Huntington Beach, CA was completed on-time & within the contracted $ budget. Top marks for The Construction Guyz!
Jay and the Construction Guyz did a fantastic job building a redwood fence with a double lattice. It's really a beautiful fence and is more than I had hoped for. The detail is quite nice. There are a variety of different colors used and not only in the redwood itself. If you look at the picture you can see that the whole fence is framed with a dark wood, and the lattice is double framed. I didn't want a vinyl fence. I wanted a more traditional fence but with some style, and this one has it. We actually asked Jay to build approximately 65 feet of fence and that was going to include three gates. They had a crew of three guys who were very polite and totally professional workers. These guys worked steadily every day for four days. That's a lot of hours but apparently that's what it takes to do a quality job. Another thing they did was dig out all of the dead bamboo roots where the old fence was. I didn't even realize what they were doing until I noticed that our giant green trash bin was overloaded with dead bamboo roots. I had no idea that these roots were even there. But the bamboo had been growing there for literally 65 years. They didn't ask for more money for the extra work. In fact, they never even mentioned that's what they were doing. Jay is also very prompt in responding to you. That's a big plus. I've been working with contractors to remodel this house for a year and half now and I can tell you they don't all do that. But the good ones do. Thanks a lot, Jay.
Very pleased with the fence replacement project. We went from tattered wood to new vinyl fencing and couldn't be happier with the outcome. Jay is real easy to work with and his pricing is extremely fair. He has a team of perfectionists who work neat & efficiently. I highly recommend this business for similar projects.

Construction Guyz transformed an unused space on the front side of our house into a practical storage and work area. We had an existing cinder block wall extended and a new vinyl gate constructed to create the new area. We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. Jay was very detailed and precise when he came to do the estimate, and he was communicative throughout the entire process. The guys on site varied based on skillset and what was going on that day. They all did great work and cleaned up at the end of each day. I consider myself fairly picky, and I never had to follow up or complain about anything throughout the process. There was an unexpected hiccup on the gate hardware, and Jay spent extra time and effort to think of a creative solution for a fraction of the potential cost. Jay is very cost conscious and did not push anything that we didn't need or want. His only suggestion at our first meeting was adding drainage, which is something we had not considered. We appreciated the suggestion and expect no problems during the next rainy season thanks to the addition of drains. Jay and the crew were also diligent about protecting the old concrete that we wanted to preserve and no damage was done to any of the original surfaces that we kept. Highly recommend Jay and the Construction Guyz team.

Jay was quick to respond with a bid, the scope of work was well defined and his estimate of when they'd be able to start was accurate. The crew was helpful, polite, respectful of our properties and they cleaned up each day. Quality of work is excellent. Great value, price was spot on for the level of craftsmanship. I changed the scope of work twice during construction and Jay was more than fair on the cost. Next time I'm needing fence work, my call is to Jay.

I'm already enjoying the privacy of my new fence and it looks great to boot! Jay and his crew did a wonderful job replacing an old, 5' tall, termite-ridden wooden fence with a 6' vinyl fence. Before, we could see straight into all of the neighbors backyards and they could do the same. Now I feel like we finally have a private yard. They work quickly too, in and out in half a day. I would definitely recommend The Construction Guyz.

The Construction Guyz are fabulous! We had a slump stone wall with rotted redwood between the columns and needed a column repaired, the redwood replaced with slump stone and a course added. We had two "contractors" bid the job and then flake out and not show up. When we called The Construction Guyz, Jay actually came to the house discussed what we wanted to do and said he would send us a quote and that it was a good time as he was between jobs. He sent a very reasonable quote the next day, a Thursday and started the job the following Monday. The materials were delivered Monday morning and we met Jay's crew Geraldo and Trini who went right to work. These guys are master masons, Geraldo leveled each block and measured the spacing. The half blocks were all sawn not broken with a hammer. Geraldo said he worked with Jay for 17 years and I can see why. They are proud of their work and go about it without music blaring, offensive language or griping and left my yard neat and clean every day. The wall came out far exceeding our expectations and we want to thank Jay and his crew being a pleasure to work with. read more

We are very happy with the way the stucco resurfacing of our cinder block wall came out with the attention to detail of Gerardo and Trinidad (who have worked with The Construction Guyz for a long time). At first we weren't sure of the color we chose, but the stucco was reflecting different colors around it. After it fully dried, it was perfect. The daily clean up was very meticulous. We will be seeing if they can do other work for us. Highly recommend. read more

Absolutely blown away with Jay and his crew! We had an old wood deck that was ready to collapse any day now. The Construction Guyz were able to quickly design, quote, order materials, schedule the crew, demolish and install a new deck with everything we had planned with Jay so fast. Very Good Work But Not 100% Honest Jay was very good to provide a comprehensive quote and when I approved the work he got it done when he said it would get done. The work quality was great and he picked up all of the mess. I was 100% satisfied except the placement of the gate latch. I asked him to move it to the interior of the gate so it would not be exposed to the traffic on the sidewalk and he said he did it. I believed him but he did not move the latch. Other than lying to me, I recommend his work. I will be moving the latch myself. read more

If you want a quality and beautiful fence, go with The Construction Guyz. We just had our front fence/gate done in a more modern style, and couldn't be happier. Jay helped answer all our questions, and provided a reliable estimate. Hernandez, Charlie and Armando were the best crew ever. They were prompt, friendly, detail oriented - they took such great care in making our fence beautiful. They took the time needed to cut and fit the wood perfectly against our stone wall. Clean up was awesome too. Lastly, Jay and the crew were really helpful in providing examples when we choose our stain. I appreciated their patient very much. I highly recommend Jay and his team for your paver project. Jay came out a couple times to provide estimates for multiple paver layout designs. I didn't feel any pressure to commit, I had plenty of time to request quotes from multiple reliable contractors. After thoroughly reviewing all the bids, I decided to go with Jay, and boy was I glad I did. Shaun punctually delivered the paver samples and immediately ordered my pavers once I made a selection.
