For my main course, I ordered the Korean Fried Chicken Bowl, which proved to be an absolute culinary triumph. I was immediately impressed by the staff. you couldn't ask for better care and warmth. we participated in any activities that were offered and made new and lasting friendships along the way. thru those years there were difficult times. I guess the most difficult was the pandemic when we were limited to movement within the building but you would be amazed attn lengths the staff went to to keep us happy. delicious meals were delivered to our door ( we ordered from our menu's ). Games were played at each door if you wanted to participate and there were fun prizes. The weekly wine socials were brought to your door. Meanwhile, all the necessary health precautions were taken. The apartments were thoroughly cleaned weekly. When necessary, immunization clinics were brought to each resident and if you wanted to participate, they made it easy. Eventually that passed and life got back to normal but it's hard not to recognize the professional handling of that difficult time. The building was renovated and mad lovely for us. If anything needed to be updated, it was life moved along smoothly and I must admit, to my surprise. There were many staff changes but amazingly, the staff remained warm and caring. Deep down, I can forget that they are dealing with many different personalities and sometimes elderly people can be a tad grumpy. The loving staff simply overlooks the bad days. Food is always an issue but the menu is large with choices for everyone. If that isn't enough, there's a really great Bistro you don't want to mis. The activities are numerous and year round. Entertainment is provided on a regular basis and outings take place twice a week. All you have to do is signup. I can't close this without mentioning that my husband passed away in 2022. it was a difficult time made easier by the Fairwinds staff and especially the management. Being100% deaf and disabled, my family wanted me to move to assisted living despite my reluctance. Doralei warmly helped me make that decision to move and very graciously helped me find a comfortable apartment. The move was smooth and the golden treatment given by the health and Wellness staff has been perfect so I have to admit that it was the proper move. When I need appointments, the transportation service is wonderful and I can't forget to mention the wonderful drivers. Do you see how fortunate I furl that all those years ago, we made the decision to move here it was the perfect one. You can't go wrong.

My girlfriend said she thinks about the pizza here almost weekly, and having tried it, I can see why! The restaurant is unassuming-- not overly bright, and not very large, but nonetheless inviting. We were able to get a table right away. She and I split the Verde salad (organic lettuces, candied walnuts, apple, gorgonzola, vinaigrette), a large, 6-slice melanzane pizza (with eggplant), and a butterscotch budino. Food came out with maybe 10 minutes between each course. The salad was excellent. The lettuces had big, fresh, juicy leaves, the apple was crisp and sweet, and the accompaniments were tasty, especially the walnuts and gorgonzola. I often don't love gorgonzola, but this was SUPER good-- I would have loved more of it on the salad. It did have some crisped bread that was a little "more crisp" (aka burnt) than I would have liked, but easy enough to just remove. The pizza was outstanding, The slices of eggplant were huge and relatively thick, so you could really taste it, and that taste was amazing. I loved the pomodoro sauce too. The pizza crust was relatively flat, too, so it was doable to fold and eat NY style. They note that they char the pizza, but I didn't find the crust to be especially charred (which is a good thing). And MAN, that budino, wonderful flavor with big hunks of salt inside for bursts of crunch and flavor. This was one of the best pizza meals I've had overall. Service was friendly-- the fellow who was helping our table was attentive and accommodating and checked on us often. I also appreciated that he intentionally put our pizza orders in at the same time as the salads so there wouldn't be a long wait. My one gripe, which is silly, is the plates we got for the pizza were TINY. WAY smaller than a single slice. I didn't understand since the salad plates were normal sized. If you were going to fork and knife it, it'd be a struggle. Price was fair. Not a cheap Dominos or other fast food pizza dinner, but you're getting gourmet delicious pizza here. Overall, 5-stars.
