    Breakfast Burrito
    Megan S.

Cute spot. Fast service. Reasonable pricing. Got.. Soy Latte - good espresso. Great flavor. A little too much foam for latte (was more like cappuccino) Breakfast burrito - had fluffy eggs, big potato chunks, cheese and little bit of green chili. (Wish there was a little more chili or option for hot sauce) Quiche - hands down one of my favorite quiches. It was sturdy and flakey. Unlike the ones that are normally soggy or cream filled. This one was great!

So happy we were in the area so I could treat my husband and mother-in-law to one of the best hidden gems in New Mexico! Parking lot a bit full but was around noon. I remembered they have a lending library so I brought a book I finished to add to it. Greeted upon entering, found menus and didn't feel rushed to order. (Have to watch head near counter due to slope of stairs). All staff were friendly and patient w any questions. The dining room was mostly filled but found a good table for us 3. I love the mis-matched furniture and all the art. Plus all the local made items on display and for sale. Plenty of books and magazines if wanting to read while dining. Food was brought out quickly. We all enjoyed what we ordered, everything tasted fresh. I look forward to next time!

From farm to table. Fresh food with daily specials. We got coffee, Matcha, lavender lemonade, and huckleberry ice tea. All tasted wonderful and refreshing.

3.5 stars Came here yesterday for lunch after the main lunch rush (easy to find, plenty of parking). Food came out quickly and there's indoor and outdoor seating (outdoor is a must to watch the hummingbirds of course). I was excited to come here after having previously gone to the farm dinner at Schwebach Farms (prepared by Roots). My dad and I both got the chicken panini $11.50, which came with a pickle and a few grapes on the side. The sandwich itself had nicely chopped chicken, shredded cheese, onion, pesto, tomato, and a zesty sauce (the pesto gave me a little bit of heartburn but it is what it is). It was good and the perfect serving size, but could've used a little more flavor. We got a blueberry coconut muffin and a peanut butter muffin to go ($5+ with a slight upcharge for credit card fees). I kind of wish I had gone with the muffin and an iced pumpkin spice latte, but that'll be for next time

    Breakfast sandwich perfection!

My aunt and uncle are locals and took me to Roots right after I arrived in Cedar Crest. It is the favorite place of everyone for miles around. The staff is friendly, vibe is chill, and the food and coffee are delicious! They are closed some days of the week so check their hours and plan to stay a while. Indoor and outdoor seating to match your mood. They have a nice little shop to pick up some farm grown gifts or treats to bring home too.

    German breakfast and fruit salad
    Ren N.

Pretty popular spot right before getting into town, we decide to see what's so special about this place. Ordered a German breakfast and fruit salad. 1. German breakfast: pieces of ham, salami, cheese that seems like it's from one of those packages, super thin, cut into medium pieces and lay on the plate with scattered sliced blood orange? Reminds me of a kids art project. 2. Fruit salad: I thought maybe I might get some leaves with my fruits, just a small bowl, bananas, blueberry, dried cranberries and oranges. Coffee was good and they have non coffee stuff too like tea and chai. Small locally made goods section definitely be sure to check out. I don't know if I be here for the food but the coffee and goods sure!

5 star for food and atmosphere. Sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful day and resident kitties. My group enjoyed the antipasto platter, chicken panini, soup, and a breakfast sandwich. Perfect portions for brunch. Topped it off with a chocolate chip cookie and or meal raisin. Highly recommend!

After several visits, I can say it has become one of my favorite places for brunch. Fresh from the oven quiche, paninis, cookies... etc....

I was seated right away as they were a little slow when I arrived. Serve was on point and cheerful. I had the Calzone with pepperoni and jalapeños...my favorite combo. I was pleased. The dough was a little tough but great flavor. The marinara was delicious! I enjoyed the lemon cake for desert which was devored rapidly! Coffe was very good. Very happy I stopped

Right next to Triangle Grocery on 14. The place was pretty busy when we arrived at 6:30pm but we were seated right away and had great service from our waitress and we even had the owner come around. I had the second street brewery Agua Fria Pilsner, which I hadn't had and REALLY liked it. It is also gluten removed!! Woo hoo! My hubby had the La Cumbra Malpais Stout, which he drinks at home anyway. I ordered the Rueben. Now listen, I LOVE a good Rueben and hate a bad one. Don't we all. This Reuben was the BOMB! Trail Rider smokes their own pastrami and holy cow was this sandwich good! It was tasty! The rye was yummy, the sauerkraut was on point and the meat.... OMG. Listen, I ate the entire sandwich!! And the fries were tasty with enough salt that I didn't need ketchup. My hubby had the smash burger and ate most of it. The rest was lovingly placed in a to go box. We also got the Platinum bar - peanut butter, rice crispies and chocolate and my hubby got the mudslide. Which was Oreos and chocolate mouse and whipped cream. Both were yummy. The service, care and scrumptious food will bring me back. Even from the Westside of Albuquerque because it was that good. Next time we need to try the pizza and the pasta but I will come back again and again for the Rueben. Thank you Trail Rider!!

Upon pulling up I saw a woman loading up her big suburban and going back & forth, she told me to enter the other door. Upon entering holy crap......this place is a zoo & shouldn't even be open for business, NO JOKE FOLKS.... a mess of table chairs, paperwork & misc... this is suppose to be a lovely French Bakery not SANFORD & SON RESIDENCE!!!!!!! She also had in plain view the tip jar with money in it & paper work in the display area with THE SUPPOSEDLY FRESH PASTRIES......YIKERS.... THAT ALARMS ME..... health violation???? ....I was going to take a picture but the owner started to tell me she does alot of events & very busy........ I seriously doubt it, you either have someone run your events and keep your location open for walk in customers. If you can't have operating normal hours with staff and Fresh baked goods regularly on hand as well as have a clean working environment and also mention right away, you only TAKE CASH, sounds like you are very desperate for the dollar these days especially when your business could be Red Tagged........OUCH SORRY BUT HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY...... I'm sure this once thriving business was a gem, BUT CLEARLY NEEDS TO THROW IN THE TOWEL. French Bakery Lovers have NO FEAR---- Go check out LA QUICHE PARISIENNE, professional, clean, friendly and the most authentic pastries in town.
