My dad grabbed the classic smash with a chicharron. My brother went with the 505 green chili burque smash. When I saw the other sandwiches on separate posters by the order window I was torn between the 505 or the Al Gueye Lucy. I asked the cashier which one they thought was better and they suggested the Al Guey Lucy smash. I said orale! Let's do it! We sat at the tables under the tent. It was nice shade for such a hot afternoon. The burgers were out hot n fresh! The Lucy was juicy with just the right amount of spice! It had a zesty kick you just can't forget. I absolutely loved it! My dad and brother enjoyed theirs as well. The fries reminded me of the fries at Bob's Burgers. They were really good! Overall it was a great experience! I'll definitely be returning! No mames! Si! That hot honey chicken is calling my name! Maybe I need a 505 for the appetizer hmm... lol!

Even though it is a food truck, it has a good seating space with good shade. The service was good, especially when the cook brought our food, personally. They were even concerned that our food was going to be too spicy . Speaking of the food, I ordered the Korean Chicken Boss and the Hellfire Crunch sandwiches with fries. The Korean was a bit tangy and a bit sweet with a good piece of perfectly breaded chicken. The Hellfire was a bit spicy but not overwhelming. Both were messy but it can be contained if you are skillful. The fries were crispy and quite good Overall, I was glad we finally found No Mames, as they made us feel quite welcomed and their food was quite good. Next time, those smash burgers will be on our list!

The tacos are simple and perfectly made -corn tortilla, meat, onion and cilantro. Guac and salsas to add. That is all you need. I crave their queso. For some reason queso is not a prominent menu item in NM. I call it cheese dip because I'm from the South but this stuff is amazing. Love this place.

We ordered a half order of the Frida Pie(Nachos), and I got a fish taco plus a fried chicken taco. We asked to add carne asada to the nachos as well. Overall we were very disappointed in the food. I'm not sure why my initial review does not show anymore, but the first few times I went I really liked the two tacos I ordered this time. I never cared much for the various salsa's they offer, but the traditional one is good. Maybe this time, it was an off day, I'm not sure, but nothing was very good. The fish taco was bland, and not very flavorful. The chicken taco had good flavor at least. The tortillas are very good, I can give them that. The nachos was the worst part for sure. Even starving with no food we didn't like them. There was some sort of flavor that was just off, but I couldn't put my finger on it. The carne asada we asked for was a ground meat of some sort, not sure what it actually was. We didn't finish our food, and left dissatisfied. We did review through the receipt, and were refunded a portion of our meal, which shows that management cares, and takes the time to look at reviews, which I respect. Had that not happened this would be a 1 or 2 star review based on just this visit. Because they acted, and we had better prior experience I'm giving 3. I'm not in a rush to return, but I will give it another try down the line and update accordingly.

You can tell he is passionate and love sharing his bbq with his customer. His signature meat? He mentioned the pulled pork meat and the brisket! The side worthy of trying (although Theo himself doesn't like coleslaw himself? The pineapple coleslaw...based on my brief discussion with another local customer I met onsite! I personally found that the price/value for the amount and quality of food Nomad's bbq provides is well worth it. I had a pulled pork sandwich (plus a bit of brisket and the 2 sides that I couldn't resist trying to save for my next meal) and thought the meat was smokey, jiving and so scrumptious...and this is coming from someone who normally doesn't eat so much meat like myself! Overall, I really like that Theo seems passionate about making the food that he serves. Plus, it doesn't hurt that this bbq type of food tastes so good..and is so rare to find ABQ, too.
