Had trouble finding The Coffee Method because it was inside a floral store which was under construction. My wife ordered a unique drink that she usually gets at home in Arizona, so there were a lot of adjustments for the barista but she got it done without flaw. Fortunately we were the only patrons. TCM had seating for 11 peeps but some of the tables were covered with construction materials. I found a comfy couch to lounge in during the complex order by my wife. Love the vibe in here. It's nice and quiet and the people are friendly. It was initially difficult to find because it's kind of a building within a floral shop but I should've noticed that it had a suite number. The outside is shaded nicely in the late morning to hang out with the dogs. At the time there was a table outside with two chairs. The inside didn't seem to have a problem when I brought my dogs in. I ordered the vanilla latte and it was wonderful! Not too sweet, which is the way I like it. We also got the pourover Yemin and it was nice and strong. Would love to come back soon! read more

This place is such a gem! 3 headed dragon here, offering you coffee/pastries, flowers, and knick knacks/souvenirs). The coffee baristas always have a good disposition and are super friendly. The drinks are simple yet delicious. It's a small but open and light space. They do have a coffee alternative menu so if coffee isn't your thing there are mushroom, cocoa drinks, matchas, and teas. This is a cute coffee shop that doubles as a plant shop. We passed by for an iced vanilla coffee and a freshly brewed tea on our way to meet our friends for lunch, and had a great experience. Stopped by the coffee method on the way to walking to the pier, and was pleasantly surprised by how adorable this coffee shop was! We ordered just a black coffee and an almond milk latte. And we loved both, but we're pleasantly surprised by just how could the drip coffee was! My mom couldn't stop raving about it the entire morning. What's also fun about this coffee shop, is that it is covered in flowers and plants that you can actually purchase! While waiting for our coffees we were able to explore the shop with their variety of succulents, house plants, and flowers. If we weren't vacationing, we probably would have walked out with one of their thriving fig trees. The entire shop was so inviting and cute. Cute little coffee shop connected to a florist! I saw they had Local Roots Kombucha on tap and asked about the flavors (apple ginger lime and strawberry lemintade). The girl working poured me small samples of the flavors and told us a little more about the kombucha since it was my first time trying kombucha on tap. Both were delicious so I ended up getting half and half! My husband ordered a cold brew and said it was very good. The Coffee Method also has lots of coffee and tea options as well as pastries. My coffee was disappointing, it had chunks on it so not sure if something happened when it was being brewed. I did get an iced coffee with vanilla and cinnamon which I realize Iced didn't seem Like their specialty by looking at the menu but I was surprised that it was actually bad. I tried to "fix" it with sugar and crème but it couldn't be saved. I thought about taking it back but the staff didn't seem like they were having a good day and we all felt like an inconvenience. Overall would not go back here. I feel bad sharing negative experiences but hopefully the staff takes this review as on opportunity to fix. The staff did notice I didn't drink my coffee but they did not ask if I would like it remade, what was wrong etc they only took the full cup and dumped it out. read more

I feel kind of taken advantage of. Popped in to Coffee Method due to their amazing rating. One guy was working, and he was swamped with drink orders. I perused the menu and my friend and I laughed at the fact that there was a $6.50 coffee. I'm a coffee snob, but not so much that I'd pay over $5 for a coffee drink unless someone swore up and down that it was amazing. Anyway, my friend ordered an iced chai, and I told the barista to make whatever he wanted. I couldn't decide on a bean or a style (pourover or espresso), so I figured I'd let the barista decide. Most baristas appreciate this freedom and will hook up a special price or make something off-menu as an experiment. The wait was brutal, as we sat there and he made four pourovers for the customers before us. Finally my friend's chai came out... hot. She didn't want to make a big deal out of it, so she didn't say anything. But she asked him before if he could make it iced and he said yes, so he heard her. He just forgot. Already off to a bad start. My coffee? "You said I could pick anything I wanted, so yours is $6.50." Really dude? Kind of a dick move. Yes, I told you to pick, but most people in that spot would ask the customer if they're OK with a $6.50 cup of coffee. I've actually had that exact scenario before. I would have said no, any of the other beans are fine. But he had me on a technicality, so I paid. You made money on this transaction, but I won't be back and I'm posting a bad review of you guys. Was the coffee good? Yes. If it was $6.50 good, I would have been ok with it. But it wasn't, it was just as good as any $3 coffee I could have had. The amount and grind of beans - even the BLEND, all carefully managed. Such delightful crema on each shot! Don't like Espresso drinks? How 'bout French Press? Yup. No big carafe of hours-old drip coffee soaked to the last dregs. The decor and location may not be top-notch (a little difficult to find, across the st from Poma's and inside a flower shop), but the coffee, oh... what coffee. ...the prices are even lower than the competition. $3.45 for a triple Americano (my drink). Omg! I'm so excited that they offer pour over, French press, cheer, cold press, cold extraction, and pre-brew! This is not a grab and go kind of coffee shop. These methods take time to brew. I would expect my cup to be ready within 5-10 minutes, depending on how busy it is. Different brewing methods extract different flavors from coffee and Robert really appreciates all the mothods coffee can be brewed. If you're in a rush go for the pre-brew. read more
