In town visiting, found this spot on Yelp. I ordered a large pistachio latte and it was absolutely delicious!

I even went back a few days after. Banana Kraveman: Light banana chunks. Creamy & smooth. Love at First Bite: A classic! Nutella & strawberries on their perfect Croissant loaf, get this! The Bravocado: You must add Candied Bacon, it is insanely delicious. Perfect sandwich combo with avocado. It is located in an apartment building, next to F45. The parking lot is a bit confusing with some signs saying tenants only, & I think a few signs for F45. None are designated for Local Krave, but we parked there & were fine.

There is free parking available in the lot and on the street. The cafe itself is pretty small with about 3-4 tables inside and a few outside as well. Service was quick and the food was bomb. Definitely recommend this spot if you're in the area. Food/drink review: Matcha: (3.5/4 out of 5) It was very strong, but tasted a lot better once sweetener was added. Iced chai: (5/5) I ordered it with almond milk. This was some of the best chai I've had. So delicious, will definitely be back. San diegan: (5/5) I was surprised at how delicious this was. The flavors all blended well together. Good sized portion. Candied bacon avocado: (4/5) The candied bacon was a little too sweet and threw off the flavor of the sandwich but it was still delicious! Love at first bite: (4.5/5) If you're looking for something sweet, this is the way to go! It was so yummy.

It has that bold cold brew taste without being bitter or overly acidic, and the nitro gives it a really creamy texture without needing anything added. A lot of places struggle with consistency when it comes to cold brew, but they absolutely nail it here. The staff are always great, and the coffee is consistently high quality. It's one of my go-to comfort spots when I just want a guaranteed good latte. Their lattes are super creamy, and I usually order mine half sweet, which ends up being the perfect balance for me. They also have a nice selection of pastries to go with your drink. Parking is a bit limited right out front, but there's usually street parking nearby if you don't mind a short walk. Overall, a dependable spot for really good coffee and a great local favorite.

Lazy Eye to the rescue! Lazy Eye is sandwiched between two buildings with one table out front. It's a to-go place. When you're that close to the beach, who wants to be inside anyway? While they do offer regular brewed coffee, I'm pretty certain their specialty is all the delicious frou-frou coffee drinks. I usually don't go for them, but today, I was in the mood for it. Their milk chocolate mocha with light ice was delicious It made me very happy and our pup was super happy with the treat they gave him. They have a small bakery display which I passed on since we were getting brunch soon, but I'm sure there's something for everyone there. This location is open 7 days a week- 6:30am-1pm. The staff here are incredibly kind and personable. They make everyone feel like a regular, even if you are just visiting the area. One of the best parts is their creative latte menu. The flavors are made in house and they rotate them seasonally, so there's always something new to try. I had to go for the banana bread latte because it sounded so unique, and it was amazing. Seriously so good and perfectly balanced. Such a fun little pre beach walk coffee stop with friendly staff and creative drinks.

Came on a Sunday around 11am and it was packed but our order was taken pretty fast. Has a nice selection of drinks and some food and pastries. We ordered a Latte and one of their siganture drinks Hawaiian Latte Iced. For me the quality of the coffee is extremely important and this one was excellent. The Hawaiian Latte had the Coconut/Macademia flavor taking you back to Hawaii. Loved the ambiance, they even have a section of local goodies to purchase. Moniker General…read moreCo. is a bustling coffee shop located right in the center of it all--next to bars, breweries, mini-golf, actual golf, crafts shops, maker markets, restaurants, beauticians, and even an airport! Parking is tricky here because there's so much happening around the shop. You'll be able to find some parking along the big ring that runs around Liberty Station or in the nearby parking lots, but it may take a few minutes walk to get to the cafe. When you're at Moniker General, it's a bright, artistic, and open-air environment. The double wide doors open up to the street and tall windows let in plenty of natural light. Studying or working here is a dream. You'll find stressed students and corporate slaves alike lounging about. One particularly interesting thing that happens at Moniker is you get a lot of families and groups of people with kids stopping by on their day out at Liberty Station. I come here once or twice a month when I feel bored of the usual cafes and want something more spacious and less packed. But I always, always have one specific disappointment... My only (and big) issue with Moniker is their drinks--the actual coffees and teas they make and sell. Everything tastes rather bland for a drink that you are charged $10 on. As I was sipping my chai latte drink, the second drink I asked them to make after my first order of the Tiramisu Latte was not having a tiramisu vibe at all--I realized I didn't even like their chai! I was too nervous to ask for a second re-make, and I felt defeated. I wish I had gone to Starbucks instead. I have been to a dozen cafes in San Diego and Moniker's chai is special to me for tasting like shitty syrup. If you come here, pick something safe that's hard to screw up. Perhaps a black coffee, tea, or a lemonade. I wouldn't try a latte or crafted drink unless you're really okay with whatever comes out of their gorgeous cafe. ----- 3/5 STARS + Aesthetics + Name brand (people like Moniker as a local hotspot) - Drinks taste bad (in my opinion)
