Coffee Cycle is excellent. I will start by saying that I'm not a coffee drinker. But my husband is. Because of this, we've gone from shop to shop across San Diego in search of the best beans. He definitely has his list of favorites and after trying Coffee Cycle, he said that it tops his list! They have so many great varietals and he especially loves that the beans are provided in tins instead of bags which makes them much easier to scoop. Although I'm not a coffee drinker, I love a matcha and know a good one when I taste it! This matcha is soo good! No sugary mix or cheap baking quality. Their matcha is really good. You can tell by the color alone. They clearly take pride in the drinks they serve and this spot has a lot of space to enjoy a drink (with your bike in tow!)

Such a cute spot! Quite possibly my favorite coffee spot in OB. The baristas are super friendly, they have indoor and outdoor seating, good music, tasty coffee & matcha (it's legit).. I've tried their empanadas and breakfast sandwich and those were both good too.

Coffee Cycle is a fantastic local small business in SD! This is their second location, with their first being in PB. I absolutely love Coffee Cycle! They have fantastic coffee that they ethically sourced from small farmers. They also make their own syrups and non dairy milks, and offer delicious empanadas! This space is about 4x larger than their PB location, with lots of seating options. It's a great place to work from! Lastly, the owner Chris is just the nicest person. I feel great supporting such a wonderful small business.

Coffee Cycle makes extremely good coffee and takes all the steps in being a batista serious, but with a chill, beach attitude. I have already reviewed their amazing coffee at their PB location, but the new OB location includes very yummy sandwiches, sodas, and empanadas. Please go here and try! If unsure, get their latte or flat white.

Yesterday, I stopped by Coffee Cycle (4856 Voltaire between Cable and Sunset Cliffs Blvd) for the first time, and it was an experience that completely exceeded my expectations. My opinion, many coffee shops can feel a bit unwelcoming on a first visit, with a "too cool for school" vibe, but Coffee Cycle was refreshingly the opposite. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at ease. It also helped that the shop was playing Wu-Tang, and Jordan, the friendly barista behind the counter, greeted me right away with a smile and exceptional service. I was in the mood to try a late breakfast (at 1:30 PM ), and Jordan recommended "OB's Best Breakfast Sandwich," a new creation by Chris, the owner. This sandwich was next-level deliciousness and made with thick, local sourdough bread, smoked pork belly, chipotle sauce, pepper jack cheese, and a perfectly cooked egg. Every bite was a blend of bold, rich flavors and left me completely satisfied. This sandwich is super legit!! Highly recommend. It left me already looking forward to my next return visit. Then for mental energy, I paired the sandwich with a honey cinnamon iced latte. This drink was made with cinnamon, local raw honey, housemade cashew, macadamia milk, and espresso. It was smooth, lightly sweet, and energizing. It complemented the sandwich well. The extra welcoming vibe came from Jordan, who after I put in my order then took the time to share the history of Coffee Cycle, how it got started and explained how they source all their beans from around the world, and roast them right there in the shop. Her passion for the craft was contagious actually making me want to learn more about the process behind the coffee, which made the experience feel personal and unique. Now I can't wait to go back and explore more of the menu and also hangout to do a little work in their large open space. If you haven't stopped by yet, I highly recommend checking out this spot as it's the perfect fit for OB.

Great coffee and very kind baristas. The place was cozy. I got the vanilla bean latte and a mocha with almond milk. They make their own syrups. So good!

The empanadas are super tasty and served hot, I just ate a ham and cheese one and I feel like I would like to eat 5 more.

We were here dining with dad so I figured I would "sniff in" for another sack of whole beans…read more I have always loved Brazilian java, so I am moving down their list trying new beans. It is typically medium roast, not sour or bitter. Today I bought this: "Verao" Single Origin Tasting notes: marzipan, peanuts, caramelized sugar 12 oz. Very aromatic after brewing and you can pick up the tasting notes if you sniff into the grounds especially. The STAFF are okay but not great. Nobody was present at the counter for several minutes and there is no bell to ring. I vetoed and used the restroom. When I returned, same deal. She did show from the back a couple of minutes later but she acted as if I was invisible. Was she handling a drive-thru order on those ear buds? ;) Regardless, I eventually got my java and up out of that mug. Thankfully the java in my mug was worth the minor annoyance. Welcome to the anti-social "tech age" where even customer service people are sometimes not down.

I have to commend the person working the stand on a weekend all alone and wow did they freaking hustle. Drinks were executed very quickly and everyone was happy. I went for an iced oat milk vanilla latte and appreciated how they made their own syrup. The drink was super fresh and I really enjoyed the beans they used. A tried and true cup of coffee is one I'll always appreciate. If I find myself back at the market, I'm sure I'll be back.
