I stopped here with my wife to try a place we have not been before. The restaurant was neat and tidy and appeared well maintained. The waitress was friendly- The food was good but my wife's order was not correct. Not bad enough that she wouldn't eat it but not correct. I may go back at some point and will try a few other area breakfast spots first.

They responded to my review on Google saying that they were short-staffed when we visited and the long wait would have been an anomaly, so we figured we'd give them another try since we were looking for lunch while driving through Dansville again. Exact same situation as last time. Our drinks came out fast, but food took forever. We waited 40 minutes for 2 sandwiches and 1 wrap. They weren't busy; there were two people who ordered drinks before us (and also got them pretty quickly) and another small group who came in while we were waiting for food and ordered drinks only, got them, and left. The food was good and the place is really cute, but it was really a pain to have to wait so long when we wanted to get back on the road. I want to be able to patronize the place, but we are not risking the wait again next time we make this road trip. Note on the drinks: My parents liked their chai and matcha lattes (I tried the chai and it was pretty good, did not try the matcha), and my mom and I both liked the bubble teas we got last time, but the hot green tea was just a Twinings tea bag. I saw what looked like different tea boxes on the wall, so maybe they have different options for other types of tea, but I would be inclined to recommend the tea lattes over the plain tea if all they've got is Twinings.

Delicious pastries (with vegan options!) and great drinks--latte, boba and lemonade were all very good. A nice stop in a little town. I'll return next time I'm in the area. Best food I've had since moving here in three years! Eric had the Salmon eggs benedict and I had the Korean chicken and waffle. The coffee is ground by the cup and local coffee company in Canandaigua. Mmmmm... It was an hour drive but worth every mile! The owner was fantastic! Great energy and very friendly. Super quick service! The charming historic school house is charming in every way! Limited seating so best to come on a weekday. They have outdoor seating in the spring through fall. They had a different setup for the festival so I ordered at their order window and took the pastry to go. I got the grape poptart, which was delicious. They had music out front and a large open space where some people were hanging out. The entire town was very busy for the festival, but we were able to find parking near the cafe. This was a cool experience, but I'd love to visit again when the Naples grape festival isn't happening.

Location is accessible but there are 2 doors to go through to get in if you enter from the street. You can also park in the back and enter. Bathrooms are gender-specific, but one at a time. The ladies room was tiny. I don't think a wheelchair would fit comfortably in there. I loved that the booths have artwork separating them - clever and beautiful idea! It was a Monday morning, not very busy. Hubby grabbed a booth while I used the ladies room. We still did not have drinks by the time I got to the table, and it was a few more minutes before coffee and tea arrived. Our server Angel (according to the receipt) just moved slow. She is also not particular about germs. She served my coffee with the bowl of creamers on top. That bowl of creamers travels from table to table and you put it where I have to put my mouth to drink? It's just not sanitary! Napkins are on the table with the wine & beer list so I was able to wipe off my cup and hope the heat would kill any germs. Another nice thing is that they use different mugs for tea and coffee! When places use one mug for either tea or coffee, the tea usually tastes a little like coffee. Business did pick up and we did not see Angel again until our food came up. We saw our food come up and sit under the lights for about 5 minutes. Then I watched as she grabbed some jelly packets and put them on top of our food. More germs from her hands and the jelly, great, thank you so much! The other servers appeared to have some hustle, but not our girl. Slow and steady. I had to ask for more coffee. She strolled by and asked about our food but didn't really expect an answer as she didn't even stop. Our food was good. Hubby had 3 eggs over easy, sausage and toast - great. I had the Greek omelette, no tomato, and it had lots of spinach, also great. We finished and she never came by with more coffee or the check so I went over to the cashier to wait for her. Would we stop here again? Probably, but not any time soon.

Little Mister was already…read moreplanning his donut order when he heard hubs and I discussing what real breakfast we could possibly get at DD. We determined that we could get breakfast sandwiches and if Little Mister ate one, then he could have a donut also, if he was still hungry. Really. What kid doesn't have room for a donut after a meal? So Hubs and Little Man ordered their bacon egg sandwiches on bagels and the employee bagging them seemed thoroughly happy about their sandwich and donut choices. When it was my turn to order, I asked about the veggie egg white thing. The employee sounded apologetic about it and said yea, they're just egg whites and veggies. Oh joy. I asked a follow-up question. Again, the employee seemed sad to inform me that there is no bread in this. Double joy. I'll take it. No donut for me, just 2 egg white veggie 'omelets' and a black coffee. Nearly just right for my almost carnivore diet thing. The employees did a nice job of packaging each donut separately and it was relatively quick even though it seemed busy. The veggie egg white omelets were tasty and I would definitely order these again from any DD. The coffee was smooth and exactly what I expect from DD. No issues at all with this DD at the time we were there which was a Sunday morning. I would have liked more egg options such as real scrambled eggs but the egg white omelets were completely satisfactory for a quick breakfast on the road. Incidentally, this DD is truly right off the expressway which makes it a quick pit stop and there is also fuel right next door.
