After this experience, I wish I chose to give my business to some other place even if it meant going hungry for a little longer. The menu prices here are reasonable - that is their only positive. Service is extremely slow and they are way understaffed. There was the lone unpleasant old man who was very slow in taking the orders. Probably hard of hearing too. I asked for Onion Rings which was on their menu and he retorted that they don't serve Onion Drinks. When I pointed the item on the menu he yelled out "You want Onion REEEEEEEENGS!" Water was never offered. I have never seen that happen in the USA in any sit-down restaurant before. We just had to wait to finish eating and leave and drink water from the bottles in our car. Omelettes and eggs tasted very ordinary. Belgian waffle was expected to be crunchy but it came soft and soggy. Seriously how difficult is it to make a waffle? The batter comes out of a box and you just throw it in the waffle maker. How can they make a mess out of that? There were only a total of 4 other people in the restaurant and our (simple) order took about 45 minutes to arrive. We felt very unwelcome with the whole experience.

They responded to my review on Google saying that they were short-staffed when we visited and the long wait would have been an anomaly, so we figured we'd give them another try since we were looking for lunch while driving through Dansville again. Exact same situation as last time. Our drinks came out fast, but food took forever. We waited 40 minutes for 2 sandwiches and 1 wrap. They weren't busy; there were two people who ordered drinks before us (and also got them pretty quickly) and another small group who came in while we were waiting for food and ordered drinks only, got them, and left. The food was good and the place is really cute, but it was really a pain to have to wait so long when we wanted to get back on the road. I want to be able to patronize the place, but we are not risking the wait again next time we make this road trip. Note on the drinks: My parents liked their chai and matcha lattes (I tried the chai and it was pretty good, did not try the matcha), and my mom and I both liked the bubble teas we got last time, but the hot green tea was just a Twinings tea bag. I saw what looked like different tea boxes on the wall, so maybe they have different options for other types of tea, but I would be inclined to recommend the tea lattes over the plain tea if all they've got is Twinings.

The ladies room was tiny. I don't think a wheelchair would fit comfortably in there. I loved that the booths have artwork separating them - clever and beautiful idea! It was a Monday morning, not very busy. Hubby grabbed a booth while I used the ladies room. We still did not have drinks by the time I got to the table, and it was a few more minutes before coffee and tea arrived. Our server Angel (according to the receipt) just moved slow. She is also not particular about germs. She served my coffee with the bowl of creamers on top. That bowl of creamers travels from table to table and you put it where I have to put my mouth to drink? It's just not sanitary! Napkins are on the table with the wine & beer list so I was able to wipe off my cup and hope the heat would kill any germs. Another nice thing is that they use different mugs for tea and coffee! When places use one mug for either tea or coffee, the tea usually tastes a little like coffee. Business did pick up and we did not see Angel again until our food came up. We saw our food come up and sit under the lights for about 5 minutes. Then I watched as she grabbed some jelly packets and put them on top of our food. More germs from her hands and the jelly, great, thank you so much! The other servers appeared to have some hustle, but not our girl. Slow and steady. I had to ask for more coffee. She strolled by and asked about our food but didn't really expect an answer as she didn't even stop. Our food was good. Hubby had 3 eggs over easy, sausage and toast - great. I had the Greek omelette, no tomato, and it had lots of spinach, also great. We finished and she never came by with more coffee or the check so I went over to the cashier to wait for her. Would we stop here again? Probably, but not any time soon.

We mentioned we were in a hurry and our food and drinks came out super fast! She dropped off the check too but also stopped back to make sure our food was good. She was great! The food was also great. Hubby's eggs were over easy and we both like the red potato home fries & sour dough toast. I asked for a spinach & feta omelette, and that is what I received but the baby spinach was not cooked. I ate it but I've never had uncooked spinach in an omelette, it was kinda funny. Oh well.... We would not hesitate to stop here again.
