Taco Tuesday's are busy! Anticipate a wait for the dining room if you go around the dinner hour…read more Thankfully we found two open seats at the bar at 6pm. I always enjoy the chips and salsa at Mexican restaurants and Rancho Viejo did not disappoint. We had hot chips and fresh salsa on the counter within several minutes of being seated. The margarita was refreshing and boozy. Standard fare was offered on their menu: rice, beans, enchiladas, tacos and more. The food arrived piping hot and quickly after ordering. It's nothing to write home about and it satisfied our craving for tacos on Tuesday. There was a hustle and bustle in the dining room as they were short staffed on the evening we visited. We appreciated the prompt service we had at the bar. Our only complaint was the bathrooms were gross. If you're looking for reasonably priced margaritas, chips & salsa with a standard rice 'n beans dinner, Rancho Viejo is your spot.

Genuinely don't know why or how people love this restaurant. Came for dinner after a friend's…read morebaptism. Got seated right away (idk if we had a reservation or not lol) but the waiter was rude and disrespectful to an old black woman in our group who was nothing but kind to him. He up charged us by giving us something completely different than we asked for that costed more. He (server) walked away part way through when someone in our group was talking to him. Disrespectful and disgusting food. I've been to their last location too across from Tim hortans and the food was just as bad. That time I ordered a quesadilla and it came served in a POOL of water??? Just odd.

NYC food at starving college student prices! Listen, when I go to a town, I make it my mission to…read morefind the best pizza, the best taco and the best burger. I was in town for a wedding and Mama Mia's definitely clinches the best pizza around. I'm a Chicago boy but I love my NYC style, too, and this place hits it out of the park. I'm surprised the ratings aren't higher. The restaurant is located on the Main Street of a cute college town (SUNY Geneseo). At Mama Mia's I ate the Bianca (white pizza with ricotta is how I judge all NY style pizza places), which was rich and garlicky and delicious. The Sausage and the mushroom pizzas were fantastic as well. The owner, Eddie (from Brooklyn, I found out), was making the pies when I walked in. I saw some slices behind the counter with shaved ham and sesame seeds on the crust. He asked me what I was looking at and I told him I wanted to make sure there was no pineapple. He laughed and said, "No judgement" -- I told him I do judge and I'm glad no pineapple was in sight! He took a slice and heated it up and gave it to me to eat (for free!) while I was waiting for the rest of my order. The sesame seeds on the crust were a revelation!! I loved the place so much I came back a second time a day later. If you are looking for fantastic NY pizza, this is the place. Oh, and the chicken Caesar salad was really good, too.

Pizza is decent, drink selection could be better. Gatorade is a good option though. For the love of…read moregod, though, they need functional AC. Mostly just a nostalgia blast for alumni from my point of view, but still worth a visit for a slice.
