    Nice diner ambience
    Steven C.

Nice diner, with a traditional format, which is most enjoyable. People come in for regular lunches with regular friends, the hard working Wait staff all know the customers, the food is fine, service acceptable. They have a separate poutine menu, which are numerous variations on french fries covered in different Delectable sauces, and accoutrements. Everything is reasonably priced. Breakfast served all day. The coffee cups never reach empty. Conversations at the different tables range from solving the problems of the world with remarkable simplicity and wisdom, to family matters, just the kind of place that is relaxing to hang out in.

Leroy Poutine. Curds, brown gravy, hamburger, and bacon added

I have never been to this part of New York before. Got a recommendation from a local so decided to try this out. The food was great! I love good poutine but it's hard to find. I went with the LeRoy style. It was amazing. Perfectly seasoned and the fries stayed crispy(image below). This is pure magic. Had a cool diner vibe. The service was great. She was so friendly. Definitely adding this to my list when I am in the area

Passing through LeRoy I was looking for a place to stop for breakfast and came across this gem. Service was very prompt and friendly. I had a bacon and cheese omelette that was delicious. The prices are very reasonable. Definitely worth a stop.

We stopped in for brunch as a break from our road trip. Great little diner not too far off I90. Our waitress was friendly. We got omelettes which were good-only odd thing was the cheese was on top instead of inside. Still tasty though. I've never had poutine so opted for "The Quebec" poutine as my fiancé said that's the way to go. Pretty neat to see they have a menu of poutine to keep it interesting. Waited 17mins for the food which seemed long during off-peak hours.

I went to do selfie challenge on the area. I was so hungry so I decided to stop for lunch. I was with my bf's mom and she actually spotted this place. I got the Reuben. It's average. The sweet potatoes ok. Nothing special with the food nor the place but the waitress was nice.

I've been going here for a number of years now. Always loved their omelets and real home fries (coffee isn't bad either)...

Probably the most perfect steak I have had in my entire life on toast with au jous. They serve a honey drip with the sweet potato fries and oh my god it was delicious. My husband had the Buffalo chicken grilled cheese. Good food and it was reasonably priced. The cream puff with hot fudge and whipped cream. To die for! The building is a old train depot that is beautifully restored. The service impeccable as our waitress was very attentive. The manager (or possibly an owner) thanked us on the way out. I can't wait to go back.

Cute restaurant with friendly servers. Cynthia, our server was attentive. I ordered a cup of French onion soup which was delicious and the first time ever my order was accompanied by scissors ( to assist in cutting/ handling the cheese!!!) My entree was the salmon, a large piece that was well prepared and served with my choice of vegetables ( I picked the Brussel sprouts, yummy) and pasta ( vs rice or baked potato). My husband chose the chicken pot pie, which he polished off and said it was quite tasty. Prices were reasonable, see the photos. A good choice whether you like trains or not.

The food came out extremely slow. We waited for 45 minutes, for a table of 5. There were only a few people there at the time. She offered to box up the food since we spent so much time waiting we had to leave. The next problem was our food was very inconsistent. My sister had the junk plate and my son had the junk fries and they both loved their food. My sister said it was one of the better "garbage plate" type meals she's had. Me and my mom not as good. My mom said the soup was lacking any flavor and was not good at all. The main problem with our meals was we both had the egg and olive sandwich. Tasted good until at different times we both bit into egg shells. Happened more than once to the point I didn't want to eat anymore because I didn't know to expect an eggshell. Therefore both me and my mom could not finish our meals. I posted a pic so you can see it's a big piece of shell.

Service was a little off. She got my order wrong then disappeared. As a result I really couldn't do anything about it. Also, she gave me my coffee, cream, and sugar. But she didn't give me anything to stir it with (again disappearing). She was a young girl so I'll mark it off to inexperience. If I was in the area, I would go back.

Well well well did we ever luck out today (SATURDAY)…read more You know that the food is good when you get that happy food dance. Let me tell you... I was happy food dancing the whole way through my Beef on a Weck. Let me back up a minute and take yall start to finish, we walked in and there was a clear "please seat yourself" sign by the checkout. The place feels small town and adorable. The wooden booths aren't here for your comfort, but the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our server greeted us with a smile and was super helpful. She was friendly and talked us through the menu. I settled on the must have Beef on a Weck (no sides) while my partner had the Fire grilled Roast Beef and Swiss with sweet potato fries. I didn't even know what a Weck was until we stopped by today. When the plate was placed infront of me I knew I would loveee what was to come next. Beef on a Weck... it is served open faced because the meat is the clear feature here... but when I flipped it over I knew what to do.... eat this beast upside down (meaning seasonings touch the tongue when you take a bite). Trust this foodie... this hack takes that sandwich to the next level!!!! The horseradish provided was very good and had a nice bite, and I like Horseradish, but the seasonings (sea salt and cardamom seeds) on that bun are what I really found myself seeking every bite. Man that was delicious. Now not to be out done, the Fire Grilled Rst Beef and Swiss was also a head turner too! The warm roast beef and melty Swiss cheese did not disappoint. The sandwich bread was toasted to perfection, and it was also delicious! The side of sweet potato fries just took the whole dish to the next level! While our stomachs did not allow room for dessert (likely due to the amount of meat each sandwich contained) I was almost tempted to try the caramel cheesecake. Prices were also extremely reasonable especially considering the quality! All in all this was a fabulous stop and we would go out of our way to come again on a Saturday when the Roast Beef is fresh!
