I was the only customer on a Wednesday at 7:30 AM and was assisted by ESPEN. I go to this location every twice a week and never had a conversation with any of the Barista's there. I've had other Male Barista in the past that had taken my order, but I will never forget ESPEN's welcoming smile and patient with me. This location is well kept, organize and clean. I admit I'm leaving this review because it turned out I did not have Cash to tip this morning and it's about time I leave a review. Overall, I like how diverse Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is compared to Starbucks. read more

Great service here. Smiling faces and quick service. Today is Mo' joe Monday and any large ice tea or lemonade is $3. What a deal. I selected a Plantation Iced Tea to go. Refreshing and delicious. You can taste the pineapple juice in the tea. Located in the Makai Market Food Court, next to Cinnabon! Bathrooms are available in the Food Court. read more

National Coffee Day... Well yes I do drink coffee sometimes and when it comes to the holiday season it's more of a reason to welcome with a sassy sip of special cup. Here at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf they constantly come up with fun flavors and though it's usually a bit sweet for my personal liking I do love that they have an overwhelming choices of bites to pair with your cup. Here in the 808 we are obsessed with Ube but it was the "Pumpkin Layered Latte" and since it's made with Oatmilk I was very excited and indeed it was definitely layered which is a cool effect and love that they serve it in a clear cup as I do enjoy looking at my drink...yup I'm strange but I enjoyed my drink as it did give the Fall vibe. What's better is this Ala Moana Center location that right off the entrance from Ala Moana Blvd making it a breeze for me to park and pick up my drink as the staff here is very nice and friendly. Thank you! read more

Service is crap. Messed up on my drink because the barista wasn't paying attention and busy talking to her coworkers. Had to make my drink again. Not even an apology or a thank you. I would give zero stars if I could. read more

Refreshing beverage at Ala Moana Center, Makai Market Food Court, in Honolulu, Hawaii... I guess I never really noticed this location of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. It's on the ground level - between Cinnabon and aja bento on the Waikiki end of the building. My friends alerted me to the Thursday special. Currently, until the end of June 2025, ice blended or pure ice blended drinks are $4 for regular size and $5 for large. I looked at Instagram and saw the Ube ice blended affogato... hmmm... looks good... let's try it! I wondered if my Loyalty Card that expired 12.31.20 would be accepted... yes! Woot woot! Thank you for my free drink! I liked it! I'll be back with my other Loyalty cards! Note: This is a great location because of the free covered parking and the shared seating area - we stayed and chatted for a few hours! read more

Friendly smiling Aloha way to greet customers. Last Sunday the customer servers counter girl didn't smile looked emotionless nothing was said, no greeting! What a way to handle clientele's like this! It's my favorite place to go whenever we're at the AlaMoana largest food court! I've been there few times but i think I'll go buy coffee or tea elsewhere if it continues to this uncomfortable service I've had! It's too bad the server was unhappy with her job! I hope she'll continue to outgrow her non smiling face to greet all with a smile! read more

@fortunefoodfinds: "Gurl I've got some TEA! An Ube Coconut Cream Matcha Latte from THE COFFEE BEAN & TEA LEAF. I always get one of their matcha drinks, so when I saw the new seasonal ube beverages I just had to try it, n' it's a hit!" Staff: friendly Interior: small, just for ordering Exterior: easy to find as it faces the parking garage Wait time: 5-10 mins Parking: garage Overall comments: I come back again n' again for their Honey n' Nut Iced Matcha latte (also their ice is perfection in size), so I was excited to switch it up n' loved the ube. Their matcha is on the sweeter side n' the ube you can taste it but it wasn't overpowering. Make sure to check out their deals. On this day they were giving double stamps, so I was able to fill up a stamp card n' will redeem my free drink on my next visit! read more

This location sucks, I swore I wasn't coming back here after an incident last year. But alas, I was desperate and wanted an ube coconut latte. What they gave me was an iced coffee with ube extract and coconut essence. Tell me why it looks like a black coffee with ube extract inside? I should've just gotten my money back and wrote it off as I won't be getting the drink I ordered in the exact way I ordered it. Ube coconut latte with coconut milk and protein. Simple? Apparently not. This location seems to have a high turn over with employees probably because they suck at making drinks. read more

This review is solely based on a cashier named Ali It is Friday the 10 at 7:47 in the morning She is extremely rude extremely slow, I get my coffee every morning from this location. If this was my first experience with this company, I would never buy a cup of coffee from them again. read more

Usually a good experience here but today Heaven could not care less about anything. After my order, a uber/bite squad order came in on the machine. She looked at it and said holy f*ck 14 items. She called the barista who was making drinks and they both panicked. Hands in hair saying omg. Oh no. Omg I can't believe it. Everyone is waiting for their orders but they aren't making orders...they're depressed over making 14 items. Then they get someone out of the back and she emulates the same. Stop hiring these Gen Z people who do not care about anything other than themselves. They don't even want to do their job. After giving them all a death stare...someone came back and started making the drinks. Sad. Won't go back. read more

I just picked up a large Plantation Ice tea from the Coffee Bean in the Makai Mkt. Did you change the recipe? It's very bland now with only a smidge of pineapple taste. This is the second time that this has happened. I'm going to have to try a different Coffee Bean to see if theirs is better. Disappointed because you used to have the best! read more

We spotted this coffee shop after eating our lunch. We decided to give this place a try. Small coffee shop located in the Ala Moana food court. The specials posted on their Instagram site are the bomb! This month they have blended drinks on specials every Thursday. The specials change from time to time so you need to check their IG site to confirm. I had a pure ice midnight mocha cookies and cream. That's a mouthful but let me give you a full yelping of how good it was! This drink was tasty! It was smooth, just sweet enough but not too sweet, and refreshing! Sometimes I don't end up finishing a blended drink because it melts, but this was so good it didn't have time to melt at all. The location was convenient, but it gets busy. There was a water spill in front of the pickup area and the person in front of me told the worker. She told him that he knew, but they were too busy to clean it up. The workers here are efficient, but so far the two workers that I have ordered from haven't been the most friendly. Too busy for pleasantries, which is fine because they are serving up tasty beverages. read more

Great service, nothing negative to report about the facility. Bravo Zulu to the workers.

Hidden towards the back. Hubby, my friend and I stumbled upon this place and decided to get drinks. I decided to order the regular burnt caramel cold brew. I got it with almond milk rather than regular milk. This was delicious. Not as strong as I thought it would be but rather on the sweeter side. There was more ice in my drink than the drink itself. Overall pretty descent.. There were two entrances. One in the food court and another toward the parking lot. I guess they had a special drink for today and every day. My hubby and friend got the same drink. I think it was some cookie crumble flavor. Anyway, I also received a stamp card just in case I stop by here for a drink. This was also located inside the food court. Kind of in the corner towards the back you will see the sign. read more

If i could leave a one star I would. The coffee bean at Ala Moana just has one employee who is a HORRIBLE Employee. First time I went there, she was rude but you know I just let it go. Now again Today She was worse then last time I came. Very VERY RUDE. Listen if you don't wana work then don't work, if you're gonna wake up like a grinch everyday DONT GO TO WORK, if your gonna be like I just hate life hate everyone i'm gonna be a "B" to everyone just because i'm having a bad day or whatever may be DO NOT GO TO WORK. I'm sick and tired of people going to work and treating customers like garbage just because they feel like it or they're having a bad day whatever it is KEEP IT AT HOME! I'm always always kind to works because of course I've worked in retail & in restaurants before So I understand and how some customers may be horrible but you as the employee are representing the WHOLE company not just yourself. So when your giving your customer a horrible experience and your so damn rude to them their gonna look at the company you work for like " Gosh why did they hire her, or Gosh they hire these types of people ? " Seriously. Get it together . And just for everyone's peace of mind when you read this I both times was not rude or anything to her at all I have my other half as a witness to the interaction and if i could show you videos from their cameras of the interaction I would. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. read more

Pleasantly surprised that this was open so early. I've been here before and they have great service so it was an easy decision. They're always happy and smiling, making it a lot more pleasant to shop here. Since I tried the pumpkin last time, I opted for the decaf maple this time and boy did that hit the spot! Smooth flavor. Not too sweet. A lovely taste of heaven :) And the two macaron cups to go aren't for me...colorful gifts for my pals that I'm about to see. I've been to this CB&TL location several times as I am usually roaming about Ala Moana Center. However, I'm usually at this coffee/tea chain's location at the Foodland Farms mainly because of their great tasting beverage, friendly baristas and convenient seating. However, since I was heading to the Makai Market Food Court to get my fave cinnamon rolls, I stopped into this site. My husband met me outside of the café and we both went in to place an order for coffee beverages. This location does not have seating inside but has plenty outside in the Makai Market Food Court. We were pretty heated from the day so we opted for an iced Vietnamese coffee and a Dark Chocolate ice blended beverage. I paid using my gift card on mobile account by manually entering the card number but there was nowhere that I could've checked in to receive reward points. Seems strange to have this app but neither CB&TL at Ala Moana Center nor the CB&TL at Ward Village accepts electronic payment so I'm not even getting any rewards! The cashiers just tell me that their stores don't accept e-payments. Boo... Service was friendly and efficient. Our coffee beverages were tasty and tasted exactly like the beverages that we usually order from the Foodland Farms location. The ratio of ice chips to beverage in the large sized cups were a good value as they don't use large ice cubes which take up more volume and the beverages quenched our thirst. read more

Came here 2 Saturday mornings in a row. The dude is an unhappy barista...smh drink some coffee!

Worst service... not friendly, one barista one cashier on a holiday.... 10 minute wait to get my drink.

Mediocre coffee/teas w bad customer service. This place is conveniently located, but that's just about it. Cashier was friendly and he recommended the matcha latte w strawberry purée. The other drink we ordered( the matcha latte) The barista made a mistake on and had to remake the drink after we sipped it. Instead of making it right and apologizing and just giving the second drink we already contaminated, she stated she had to take the drink back to throw away or we could pay for it. I get it there's no exact rules to say you have to give the drink, but let's just think about the overall customer service and how it looks from the outside looking in. It was one drink.... that SHE made the mistake on. She was clearly just playing difficult. I think Emily was the baristas name. The quality of matcha was not high quality and was the powder latte that you just add water too... it's no ceremonial grade. Because of this I wouldn't be returning. read more

I stopped by this coffee shop and purchased a cup of coffee. I gave the cashier a twenty dollar bill. She gave me a change of a dollar n forty something back. I alerted her that I had given her $20. She replied I had given her a five. So, I explained I did not have any fives in my wallet. I think, the management should remind the cashiers not to put money immediately into the till. Luckily, she accommodated me n I received the proper amount of change. The service has always been good at this location n I am pleased that my issue was resolved quickly!!! read more

I go in this place three times a week for the salmon bagel it's my go to, I work in the mall so it's convenient and usually really good (which is why I didn't give it one star) Today 4/10/21 a little before 10am I went in to get the bagel the girl was RUDE!!! Like super rude, I asked about the mall employee discount which is posted in our work Hub app and she asks me where I work (I was wearing my work uniform with the name of the store clearly marked in the front.) I told her and she rolled her eyes and gave me the discount. Normally they ask if you want it toasted but she didn't so I asked (stupid me) she threw the whole thing in the toaster with the salmon and all ‍ not to mention she took it out so fast that the bagel is still cold and chewy and the salmon has a strange texture from being heated. I have never had anyone do that at this location. I said thank you 3 times before leaving (hopeful she had a change in attitude) and when I was walking out the boy who was working with her says to me loudly THANK YOU. Not the best way to start this long work day, and kinda sad my usually amazing experience was ruined. Definitely going to peek in before going there again. read more

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf - Ruined the salmon by putting the whole thing in the toaster .... for like 20 seconds and my bagel is chewy and still cold. - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

This location is at the Ala Moana Food Court. I like going to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, because they have a huge variety of drinks. My son loves their pina colada. Sometimes, he'll ask for it with strawberry syrup, which makes it a lava flow. If you sign up for their email, they run Monday specials. It's usually $1.99 for whatever drink that they're promoting that day. This past Monday, the offer was for Vietnamese coffee. I love me some Vietnamese coffee, and you can't beat the price at $1.99. I wasn't sure how it was going to taste, since it wasn't coming from a Vietnamese restaurant. This place knows how to make a mean Vietnamese coffee. It was just as good as the ones from the restaurant. The ratio of coffee to condensed milk was perfect. Now, I know where to get my fix without stepping foot inside a restaurant. The workers were pleasant, helpful, and quick at this location. read more

Great service. Ordered the Lilikoi lemonades special for three dollars. Great after a refreshing meal. terrific drink.

We wanted something refreshing today so we decided to come get some tea. Found parking right outside of the store (surprising since it was really busy today). We walked in and there was no line. The cashier was really friendly immediately helped us order three drinks and a rice crispy treat. My drink tasted like it always does (sweet tea) and the rice crispy treat was amazing. My Moms drink didn't taste right, so she went back and the guy was able to make a new drink for her. He gave a little attitude about remaking a drink, not to sure why... i mean we paid for it right?! He actually had to remake it twice because he didn't add any mango or lemonade in it. That's the reason for the 4 stars. But other than that, we love coffee bean and tea leafs teas! read more

Im sorry but this is my honest review. The staff was really friendly so this review is based on the drinks/ food. I got a Vietnamese latte and a mocha brownie. I go to quite a lot of coffee places and this was by far the worst coffee. Couldn't finish the drink since the after taste was like coffee that has been sitting there for days. Bigger ice Cubs could allow the drink to be cool and slow down melting. 'Ice perls' Auto refilled my latte into an ice water Latte within minutes. The mocha brownie was straight sugar, I understand it's a sweet but it didn't taste like a brownie, just sugar with mocha icing on top. read more
