Once in a blue moon, I find a hidden gem that heads straight to my repeat/must-visit-every-single-time list. Well, The Coco Nut is on this very exclusive list. I ordered the coconut veggie roll and it was absolutely delicious and I'm thankful for whoever's creative mind thought of this amazing thing. I am eager to come back and try their other menu items. While I was waiting for the roll, I was captivated by all the homemade chocolate that has no refined sugar at all. It's like the owners of this store and I share one brain and a wishlist of what chocolate can be! I purchased the chocolate hazelnut bar and the PB chocolate crispy bar. Absolutely amazing!!! As I was doling out the praises of this shop, the gal taking my order asked if I wanted to try the no refined sugar homemade soft serve. At that point, I literally was pinching myself to see if this was all a dream.. and my answer was OF COURSE I wanted to try this marvel of culinary creation. Absolutely devine! I recommend everyone who steps into this magical place to give it a try. Casual. Indoor seating. Above Great customer service. I can't wait to come back. Please come and create your own adventure.

To go treats!

Wonderful service, meals, juices, desserts. Cute and cozy dining room. We ended up getting 3 main dishes, a juice and juice shot along with some soft serve and chocolate peanut treats to go!! So happy to have a place like this in Eugene!

For a raw vegan joint, I think there is a little something for everyone here! In the mood for delicious soft serve or desserts? Need to grab a smoothie on your way home from work or the gym? Fancy a fresh and light lunch to carry you through the day feeling great? The Coco Nut has a lot to offer even with a more curated menu. I tried the dragon roll, which was absolutely delicious with a variety of veggies and avocado wrapped in collard greens and topped with two sauce, sesame and teriyaki. I was definitely trying to sop up every last bit of sauce on the plate with every "sushi" bite. Next I went for the soft serve. They change the flavors daily but it's usually vanilla, chocolate, strawberry or some other fruit. On my day it was a peppermint vanilla which was just great for me because I love mint ice cream. They have a ton of toppings to choose from to truly make it your own. I chose the cookie pieces and she offered a sample of the coconut whipped cream too. I was expecting something similar to cocowhip but it was actually much thicker and creamier, and not as sweet. It paired really nicely with the sweet soft serve and cookie pieces, which were made from oats and chocolate. I decided to hang around for a while and get some work done on my laptop. They provided the wifi password and had plug ins. It's a very casual environment. While I worked I had the opportunity to sample a few of their smoothies too and each one was delicious! I definitely saw a lot of customers stopping in for the smoothies and soft serve while I was there. So even if vegan food isn't your thing, maybe sweet treats are! If you haven't given this place a try yet, you definitely should.

Green smoothie to go

I love love love love love the Coco Nut. This might be my favorite spot to get smoothies since they are more located in my neck of the woods. Their overall mission is to serve organic, raw, vegan food and they are so good! While I waited for this order I sampled their soft serve and it was incredible! Looking forward to ordering that in the future. Eventually, I would love to try everything on the menu. But they are a bit pricey due to their goal of serving nothing but the healthiest of options. So The Coco Nut will have to be the place where I treat myself to a big lunch occasionally. However, their smoothies and juices are reasonable. So I look forward to ordering those more regularly, especially when the summer gets here.

This place is now my new favorite lunch spot. I discovered this place about two weeks ago and have gone back 5 times for lunch since. My go to smoothie- Chocolate Cherry Smoothie My go to Meal- I LOVED the sushi but everything is good! At the very least you HAVE to try the Kale chips and soft serve. I love that there is a spot 10 minutes away from my work that I can get lunch and still feel energized/healthy all day. Even my friend who doesn't like coconut loved this place! The two that run this place are always so genuinely kind. My only complaint is they aren't open 24/7 so I can have breakfast, lunch and dinner here. But I'll compromise ;) Thank you for providing the community with a healthy and (most importantly) delicious lunch spot!

Kale salad, another favorite!

My favorite restaurant period! I do a happy dance everytime i get to go The Coco Nut! I live in Los Angeles but have family in Eugene and visit at least 4 times a year. The highlight of my visits are eating at The Coco Nut! Best customer service! Freshest and tastiest food! Super cute dining and art inside! I discovered The Coco Nut right after they opened almost 2 years ago and have been addicted ever since! The owners are so innovative and talented! They update their menu monthly or so. And they post daily specials on their instagram. So you can go in every day and always try something different! Especially their yummy desserts and ice cream flavors! And they have lots of grab and go snacks, the kale chips and vanilla granola are among my favorites! And I can never leave without having my favorite juice, Spicy Green! And they always have plenty of parking!

Horrible service! The manager was very rude and impolite. I have shared photos of the outdoors and sitting table. My friend purchased food ... I went next door. He approached me very aggressively about "my food is gluten free and to please expire your food". Absolutely. I put my food up and continued to sit while my friend finished her food. Then he comes back being disrespectful AGAIN and gets an attitude with friend about her food making her feel very uncomfortable. I almost called the cops because he was being disrespectful and overly aggressive. And I will still probably find a discrimination complaint because he would not have approached me in that manner if I was not black. There no signage on the walls, table, door about not having food next door when my friend purchased her food. We were outside!!! And his place is next to an animal shelter and a Chinese restaurant. So ......

Vegetarian family wanted to try something different. Wow, the food was amazing! We ordered a few dishes so we could share and experience the different flavors. Forgot to get pictures of everything but the pizza was the table favorite as was the falafel. The salad dressing taste like a dairy dressing, the flax seed crackers were crunchy and the kale chips with nut sauce were delish. Don't let vegan or raw keep you from trying this adorable place...owners were beyond kind.

The mango ceviche tostados are fantastic!

First timers, and absolutely delighted! Such fantastic flavors in everything we tried. The mango ceviche tostadas were especially wonderful! Bravo! We can't wait to return.

Food that Loves me Back Once in a while, I seek out a meal that goes beyond my usual fare. Today I found such a meal at the Coco Nut on Chambers in Eugene. I ordered the Fajita & Hummus Burrito (see photo) and a Raw Chocolate Bar, Mint w/cacao nibs From the Menu: https://www.thecoconut.net/menu red bell pepper, onion, guacamole, cashew "sour cream," romaine, chipotle hummus, red cabbage, pico de gallo in coconut pepper wrap w/side of mild salsa It was busy. A smaller place gets crowded fast, nevertheless, the service was fast, polite, and professional. The burrito's wrap is light and doesn't weigh heavily like some burritos, which are overwhelmed by their heavy bread tortillas, drowning out the contents. The ingredients satisfied my hunger without making me feel overly full. The food is creamy without being greasy. I want to try it with some spicy salsa. I appreciate food that is satisfying and doesn't leave me feeling heavy. The Coco Nut specializes in flavorful food that is light and savory, all made with choice ingredients that you can trust for their quality and healthiness by a chef who is clearly on a mission. It is expensive, but everything is nowadays, and the value is undeniable.expensive, but everything is nowadays, and the value is undeniable. Don't skip dessert. Get a smoothie or a chocolate bar.

Wow! I chose Acorn Cafe after hearing the rave reviews of friends. They were not wrong! My friend…read morehad poppy seed waffles that were flavorful and beautiful. We got a table pretty much immediately. We sat outside, initially at a table right by the wall. We could smell the dumpster so it wasn't great, but once another table opened we were offered the option to move and we took it. The new table was much better - no smell and it was next to a heater so it was nice and cozy. The outdoor patio is pretty cute and the fresh air was nice! I have a soy allergy so I had to ask the waitress for an allergen list to make sure I would be okay. They were very nice and accommodating and told me what was and wasn't safe to eat. I ended up getting the focaccia with white bean paste, something I was skeptical of but really liked! The bread was super delicious and the bean paste was well-seasoned. The little slice of lemon it came with was a great topper for it all too. I would definitely get it again! I also got the sparkling lavender lemonade and it was so so good. It was perfectly balanced and I couldn't stop drinking it. The food was all pretty affordable which I appreciated. Lunch and drinks for two people was about $35. They don't do tipping here, they actually pay their employees a livable wage which is fantastic. They have a pay it forward program you can donate cash to instead, it goes towards breakfast for people in need. The employees seemed happy and were very friendly. They seemed to really enjoy working here which is always a good sign. I will definitely be back here. The people are friendly and the food is delicious. They are wholesome people doing important work and we should all be supporting them. Go here!

I always find that Asian food hits the spot when I'm really hungry, so I looked online for a place that "the locals" rated highly and I came across "Jade Dumpling and Noodles" on Willamette. Let me just say that the fine people of Eugene didn't steer me wrong! My oldest son loves dumplings and I love noodles (really any type of Asian food), so this place was a gem! We ordered 3 different kinds of dumplings, shrimp, pork and a spicy pork and they were All Delicious! These "soup dumplings" were small and bite sized but were packed with huge savory flavors! They are made right there and are amazing! I myself had the mixed noodles. House made noodles with beef, chicken, shrimp and vegetables, stir fried in a delicious lite sauce, that enhanced the flavors of the dish, without overpowering it. You could taste all the ingredients and they were fresh and delicious! I cleaned the plate and now I can't wait to return to Jade Dumplings and Noodles again and try their other dishes, that I know will be tasty! The staff is very friendly, helpful and attentive. The restaurant is very clean and comfortable, all in all, a Great dining experience! Try them out and you'll be hooked on them, just like I am now!!!
